  • Is that Ted Nugent holding the bazooka?

  • Dumbass would have been killed by the backblast from shooting it so close to the truck...

  • jeff fahey!

  • 1:18

    MOTHER OF GOD!

  • Strange to hear the Pogues on a show like Miami Vice

  • Is that what's his name from Lost?

  • DAMN.....ANIT THAT A BITCH!?

  • Never watched the show, did he ever get back at that guy for blowing up his car?

  • @ScarletSnake yea and he got a new white ferrari testarossa

  • There's a guy here in Lubbock Tx, who owns one of the daytona's that were actually driven on the show. It was in sorry shape, but he is restoring it with Mcburnie's help (just the infor on everything they did to fit the kit body to the 'vette chassis).

  • @blakops1 Tell Your Friend to look up Tommy Church in Kingsport,TN he built all the Daytona's and others for this show he can tell you what you need to the tee.

  • The backblast would have incinerated Fahey after bouncing off of the truck body...

  • Crockett probably regretted saying that. At least he got a badass ferrari.

  • This wasn't a real Ferrari Daytona. It was only a fake replica!

It should be very stupid to destroy a collection rare Ferrari model!

Instead the white Testarossa used in the next episodes was real and original.

    Ferrari (original) rules!!

  • @LloydHopkins74...true. But aside from the 2 real Testarossas, they would use a white Testarossa replica for the stunt work. Had a different offset to the wheels, cheaper looking rims, different fenders, ect...

  • This episode was made because a lawsuit from Enzo Ferrari. This car was fitted with Ferrari-shaped body panels by a specialty car manufacturer (McBurnie), and when the car gained notoriety Enzo Ferrari filed a lawsuit demanding that McBurnie cease producing and selling Ferrari replicas, 'cause they were taking his name and styling. As a result, the vehicle was blown to pieces. The fake Ferraris were removed from the show, with Ferrari donating two brand new 1986 Testarossas as replacements.

  • @jimfabrix I always wonder....thanks for the info

  • Ya gotta love that action!!!

  • I have not scene this episode in a long time. I remember watching this a kid and yelling "Nooo!!" I loved that Ferrari.

  • How do I know that these are go "BANG"??

    -You woried about that??

-Yea, I think than that is consurnable reason.......

  • Roughly translated: F-U Don Johnson.

  • A Friend Of Mine Whose Cousin Worked On Miami Vice Told Me That They Really Blew Up That Car With A Real Stinger While They Were Filming It.

  • Rico's reaction is pure gold "Sold." As is Sonny's face.

  • I couldn't help but laugh at Sonny's expression when he realizes that the rocket is being aimed at his car XD

  • @jpgbrookes PRICELESS!

  • Whoa, Sonny's like, O.O. lol.

  • @Castielover Actually I think its more like: D=

  • i love dons expression. he looks like he just walked in on dakota johnson doing it with me. her mom and grandma are also still fine.

  • Relax, It was just a kit car we'll get you a new one, Enzo Ferrari has seen to it personaly. Anyone know what I'm talking about? C'mon don't google it, your all suppose to be real fans of the show??

  • @Allanlegacy43 Ferrari wasn't happy with them driving around in, if memory serves correctly, a Daytona fitted on a Corvette chassis. So they came up with a solution. Let them drive a real Ferrari. A Testarossa :)

  • @SandsOfArrakis We have a winner!!!

  • @SandsOfArrakis correct, Ferrari were so annoyed by them driving a kit car that they decided to give them a real one for free.

  • Stingers bro, stingers.

  • Sonny: That...My...you blew up...

  • 20 years old 40 years old. it will still work. now, give it up and go back to your family. you don't want to get involved with this shit.

  • COOOOOOOOL

  • haha, cabbage truck

  • Destroyed Daytona! [+400]

  • Goddam JT...

  • lol, i didn't know they were together in a show before machete

  • "Jeff Fahey blows up Crockett's Ferrari"

Jeff Fahey blows up Crockett's Ferrari...and then has Crockett's

SIG-Sauer P220 .45's clip emptied into his corpse!

  • Haha, BANG! I love Crockett.

  • Buy buy plastic fantastic!

Corvette with some body mods to make it look like a Ferrari

So Ferrari said here you should have the real thing, This is much better for sales.

  • Too bad they blew up his car, the testarossa he gets has nothing on that Daytona

  • @levileviivelivel Testarossa is the coolest sports car ever.

  • @LocoGroove Testarossa has nothing on the Pantera, it's like if a ferrari and a classic muscle car had a baby.

  • @levileviivelivel Don't get me wrong, I like that Daytona but the sound of Tessarossa is not a noise...it's music. Plus it looks beautiful

  • @LocoGroove I completely agree with that statement, however; I hope you aren't saying that the Daytona's sound is a noise.

  • @LocoGroove I completely agree with that statement, however; I hope you aren't saying that the sound of the daytona is noise. Also, the sound of a Pantera blows them both out of the water. Search "DeTomaso Pantera Start" in youtube and it should be the fourth one down, what great sound.

  • I've never seen this this show, so I was afraid they were going to blow up the Testarossa I saw in another video D:

  • what episode was this??

  • Johnson's expression is classic. But I was PISSED that they blew up the car!!

  • There is no one Kooler then Jeff Fahey.

  • jeff fahey is great

  • and 20+ years later, they played on the same big screen movie ''Machete'' with both great screentime ! :)

  • I think he turns to the guy -fuming- and says, that 'ill be a hundred grand pal!

  • sold

  • after steve mcqueen don was the king of cool!!!

  • My Ipod was in that car. Fuck You!!!!!!!!

  • I believe this replica was a Chevy Corvette frame w/ a 350 turbo. The shell is of course a kit. A back-up 350 twin turbo Gale Banks producing 560hp was also used. There were only 127 1967 Ferrari Spyder convertibles built.

  • @upperdarbybill Ferrari didn't want them using the kit car on the show. So they said, get rid of that car and we'll give you a real Ferrari, hence the more boring white Testarossa.

  • @isaachaze1 They actually didn't blow up the kit car either, Johnson it is said actually bought the kit car for his own use.

  • @redonionsauce I didnt think they actually blew it up with a stinger missle :). that's cool that Don took it home

  • 1:15 double rainbow guy?

  • Enzo Ferrari blew his lid when he found out the Daytona on Vice was fake. He had FIAT threatened NBC with a lawsuit which was settled out of court, in return for the fake Daytona being destroyed they would loan out a new Testarossa.

  • lol, i love this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "that psycho of yours blew up 150 thousand dollars worth of my automobile"

  • @BeboAltizer if it had been a real one would be more like $1.5mill

  • Terry O'Quinn (Locke) appears in a Season 1 episode called "Give A Little, Take A Little" - plays a swarmy lawyer who gets Crockett tossed into jail....

  • lol

    "sold"

  • Ha! His expression at 1:05 reminds me of the OMG Cat.

    youtube DOT com/watch?v=C_S5cXbXe-4

  • oops adaisy!!!!! now i dont quite think you should have done that to Crockett!!!!

  • sold! hahaha

  • Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • LMAO...Crockett was one mad sonofabitch after that happened!

  • LOL lapidus in his flashsideways

  • @TheLiquidBlaze Nice to see another LOST fan here. RIP Frank Lapidus.

  • God thanks that crocett and tubbs dont go there whit the white ferrari testarossa.

  • that was a corvette sting ray

  • @blackberrycobbler4me I meant a lotus..my mistake

  • underneath yes

it was a Ferrari Daytona replica, not a real one, althought it was refered to as a Ferrari 365 Daytona in the show.

Ferrari themselves didn't like the use of a replica in this show so they made the writers retire the Daytona and gave two white Testarossas as a token of their gratitude

  • @McLarenMercedes - ferrari gave the show 2 black ones, the produces painted the cars white for better camera look.

  • Damn I will never forget the look on sonny's face. One off the greatest Tv moments ever. And also THE best Tv Show ever

  • Ohh man the look on his face, priceless

  • The pilot

  • "Stingers thats what we ordered that's what we paid for thats what we want

    THATS ENTRAPMENT

whic is why they had to keep shooting everyone they would have been kicked out of court every time :-)

  • lapidus!! stick to helicopters

  • LOST

  • No!! Not the Corvette.. i Mean Ferrari!

  • Guam?

  • Damn, that was fucked up................

  • i'ma HUGE fan of the black Daytona Spyder 365 GTS/4, i never liked the white Testarossa that replaced it. This scene brought a tear to my eye the 1 st time i saw it

  • Amen, when they blew up the Daytona, I hadn't been that heartbroken over a TV/movie car since Road Warrior when Max rolled the V-8 Interceptor.

BTW: Had that happened to an arms dealer's car IRL, the Stinger salesguy would have not been breathing much longer.

  • Yeah, it was a shame. Although this car was a replica most Ferrari fans know that the Daytona was the last great frontengined Ferrari and it wasn't really bettered until the 90's with the 550 Maranello, which drew inspiration from it.

Testarossas were thirteen a dozen and are hardly collectables nowadays. Daytona Spyders are rare though and worth a lot.

Never liked the white Testarossa myself.

  • @McLarenMercedes ya although if you ask most people what car sonny drove most will say testarossa

  • Man, if Chris Tucker were there he'd be like"Aaah, Hell NO!"

  • "Sold!"

    lol

  • yea it was blown up but it kinda came back for the 7th episode of this season (the one with willie nelson playing that texas ranger).. still don't know why xD does anybody?

  • yes i do:El Vejo was meant to be the 1st episode of season 3 but it wasent for some reason.

  • The best TV series in history.

  • @GodChristLord we hadded thy itches ain'ts you bitches

  • Keep knocking on heaven's door, sucka.

  • @GodChristLord the christian God created Muslims and Islam just for us! That fits into the grand purpose.

  • Don Johnson was trying to copy Tom Cruise.. the sun glasses, the cars, and the music in the background of this video. It's all tom cruise rip offs from his 80's movies. Rain Man, etc.

  • @GodChristLord Not by a longshot.

  • @astat1 When you live in America OR are from the US, then give an opinion. Die without a Maker shallow one.

  • @GodChristLord America? You mean the country with 15 trillion dollars of debt? No thanks. A piece of advice: stop watching Miami Vice and start working.

  • @astat1 Jump of the nearest bridge, moron.

  • pooooooooooooooooor sunny!!!

  • That psycho of yours blew up $150,000 of my automobile.

  • lol absolute classic!

  • frank lapidis was probably vacationing in miami before going back to "the island" lol

  • his face...LMAO

  • Damn....that was sooo wrong.....I would have turned into Tyler's Perry's Madea

  • hahahaha frank lapidus rocks!!!

  • I think the daytona replica is in Gatlinburg,TN in a car museum i believe.

It is called "star cars" they have a lot of the tv show cars and Bumblebee from the Transformers movie

  • say goodbye to the Daytonaa....................

  • I did not see the projectile leave the stinger launcher.

  • OMG LOL!!! How can you say "famous Nickel-plated 9mm"? If it was THAT famous you would know it's not nickel plated and its not a 9mm. It's a stainless 10mm! First he used a Bren Ten and then later a Smith and Wesson. And I think the guys standing around watching with the automatic rifles may have been what helped him keep his temper a little. 9mm .... LMAO!!!

  • as soon as my car blowed up,....I woulda turned into 'Frank ZAPPA' i woulda whipped out that famous Nickel-plated 9mm and woulda zapped his ass!

I ALSO woulda zapped everybody else standin around INCLUDING Tubbs!

  • What's the music at 1:10?

  • "Wild Cats of Kilkenny" by The Pogues.

  • Thanks!

  • first episode of the 3 rd season of miami vice I remember because they blew up the Crocetts car the show was never the same

  • and FYI for wikipedia

Tom Mc Burnie went on to manufacture the 34 Lightning, the RSK550 and a Porsche speedster replica. He is now making cars under his new company Thunder Ranch. As a runner up on Mr. McBurnie's TV fame he also produced the RIOT car as seen on Baywatch. Mr. Mcburnie is still making quality Sports cars The Rights to the RIOT were Sold to Nathan Wratislaw Allthough Tom Continues to make 5 different Models of Sports Cars

  • ya it was a kit

from McBurnie is a US bodywork company mostly known for their replicas of Ferrari Daytona Spyder. The Daytona replicas are based on the Chevrolet Corvette C3 and became very popular because they were featured in the TV series Miami Vice where the main character Sonny Crocket drives a black Daytona Spyder. Ferrari reacted and managed to get McBurnie and other replica manufacturers to stop production.

  • bastard !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    lets hunt him down

  • when Crockett took off his sunglasses, he looked like he was gonna cry ... and if I lost a car like that I KNOW I would

  • ahahaha... the lawnmower man blew Crockett's daytona, personally this did not bother me cause the testarossa is an upgrade and vice detectives shouldn't go around in convertibles anyway!!!!

  • That daytona was.not even real ferrari...it was a replica all a long in miami vice....believe me

  • That is equivalent to blowing up a family member

  • Classic Miami Vice...Don Johnson look is so cool..

  • The scene when Crockett takes off his shades is from the music video for Crockett's Theme.

  • tubbs did not lose cool. "Sold" LOL

  • lol yep minus what the car costs shocking!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Even though this is one of the greatest scenes, it still hurts to watch that car get blown to bits, replica or not. And even though the Testarossa was real, even a fake Daytona has a charisma that some real Ferraris won't ever have. Why else do you think it was so popular as a replica? Why else did Enzo feel threatened by their existence? There are other fake Ferraris out there but Enzo didn't even blink over those. Only the Daytona.

  • The MV Daytona looked better than the original imo. Certainly, the interior was far superior.

  • Enzo Ferrari must have been very pleased after he did this LOL

  • Crockett's reaction was ICONIC!!!

blank, shocked stare... he's like OMG WTF

  • SOLD...

  • Oh shit.

    I hope he has insurance.

  • This scene was priceless

  • how do i know these r gonna go bang....lol. The reason why they blew up that car was to avoid a lawsuit from ferrari being that that is not a ferrari. it is a c3 corvette with a ferrari daytona kit. so they blew it up and then to advertise the new testarossa they donated 3 of them to the show. 2 of which appeared.

  • can't remember a lawsuit ever kicking off, if ferrari had any beef it wold surely of been with the body manufacturer?? Am convinced it was simply that ferrari were ill at ease with it being a replica, and wanted t sort it out. But then, this was a long time ago, so i'm not necessarily correct

  • Didnt they blew up a prop, not original car...? I think original is in museum or something

  • The Daytona in MV was never a real Daytona. It was a kit car.

That's why Ferrari gave them 2 free Testarossas. So they wouldn't use fakes.

  • Ferrari of North America can be very insistent.

"Use our name, use our products, or else, see you in court!"

  • Funny thing is Sawyer talks, acts, and looks a lot like Sonny Crockett in LOST.

  • This is AWESOME!!! I saw this scene years ago and never had any idea who Jeff Fahey was until I saw Lost... and even then I didn't recognize him!

  • the whole thing sounds like entrapment, and he looks like a big girls blouse.

  • I vaguely remember this scene, but I didn't know yet who Jeff Fahey was. He's one of the most talented, under-rated, and, in his prime, attractive American actors ever! :) I'm glad he's still working.

  • That wasn't a real Daytona Spyder it was a McBurnie kitcar Corvette with a lookalike Spyder shell . That said the show was never the same after they changed Ferraris.

  • HA! its the Aircraft pilot from Lost!

  • good old frank

  • Wonderful fun moment from MV. Still among my favorite TV shows.

  • SOLD.... :))

  • Ferris Beuller all over again.. ;.;

  • Tubbs "sold"! I'll be walking home now pal....

  • There outta be a law

  • I think I would've blown police protocol and shot that guy!

  • I hear he is going to LA to become a famous rock & roll star..

  • The worst moment in all the Miami Vice episodes..

    I loved this car!

  • Not cool Lapidus!

  • I always loved Crockett's reaction ... he looked like he was gonna cry. Then again if I lost a real car like that, so would I.

  • "Scratch my belly and my leg'll shake."

  • Damn you Frank Lapidus!!!

  • HAHAH, the guys reaction was funnyy
