I'm usualy a cepticist but even if it just good as an e-book i think is the best e-book ever, , and in euros is so cheap!! the rest of aplications i agree whith the majoraty but i like the video interface also, so i'll buy one for sure.
@c0decx : It has a cell phone OS, cell phone processor and cell phone apps. It's more in line with a cell phone (that can't make phone calls) or a Kindle but no replacement for a computer. Even web browsing is crippled because it doesn't have enough horsepower to support Flash.

I'm just saying the battery life sucks compared to the kindle, you can't work with it since it's not multitask and doesn't have any ouput. It's not compatible with adobe flash player, doesn't have a webcam, very small disk space etc. It's a ridiculous and horribly expensive device.
With a netbook you can work, enjoy music, read books (my samsung also has no backlight) and it has about the same battery life. Apple has done some great pieces of technology, but the Ipad is a big joke.
The kindle has a WAY bigger battery life and there is no backlight (= you can read for a long time without your eyes getting tired). So the kindle is a much better E-book.
On the other hand, a netbook is multitask, has usb and sd inputs, vga output, and is very fast when used with Linux. I have a samsung n130 with Ubuntu installed and I would NEVER change it for that Ipad.

So what does this one do better? Surf the web, watch movies and pictures, read ebooks bought from apples bookstore, play iphone apps... and that's all it does.. and this price isn't unbeatable.. i see more feature rich tablets coming that ll cost less that are real netbook alternatives.. but not from apple
@Sylamarion your missing the point. The gui is very approachable and attractive to the average consumer. Thats where the 'revolution is. Its all about the user experience and no tablet PC can much up to this product currently in that category
I got to agree with you on that, apple does a good job when it comes to usability.. Well i looked at it from a poweruser prespective and while the UI remains "revolutionary", for 3 years by now, it does not offer much for them.. .. But I am really curious to see how successful the ipad turns out to be.. apple gots its ways to turn things that many would overlook if developed by others, to great success..

There is a reason notebooks have and angle on the middle. It is awkward to both read and write at the same time on somthing completely flat.
+ no multitask, no flash so cant even be used as browser, even if you didnt have to write stuff (which you ofcourse do)

Dont that app take advantage of youtube also uses mp4? All other streaming uses flash atleast. I do watch stuff not on youtube, but maybe you dont.

Eww. I had to jailbreak my iPod Touch to get a simple home screen that I'm comfortable with.
Having just multiple slides of apps is fine if you don't have many apps, but it needs more customization for those with loads of apps.
