  • Good! The action compensates lack of sound! :D

  • Great job!

  • Neat man , really neat. Love too have that program. Cool stuff.

  • Excellent render, are you making the entire battle of endor scene? because that would be spectacular

  • if that was you, then holy crap. Perfection.

  • I mean the programmer :)

  • Ady has one or two great 3D effect guys working on the Revisited films and you'd make a great addition to his team :)

  • HOW DID YOU DO THAT!

  • looks really nice, the TIE fighters should be moving a bit faster though

  • DUDE !

    I got some Ideas

Have you played the game X-wing allince where B-wings go to the Death star Laser and destroyes it ?

    Do that with 8 b-wings 16 A-wings and a dozen of x-wings

  • dude thats totally wicked ! 5 of 5

  • Great work man.

  • Cojonudo. XD

  • thats home made!?!? i thought it was a unused space scene! awesome!

  • Now that is what I call great work. Longer, and with sound, and it could become a truly great video.

  • Only not the external sound! There is no sound from space explosions, so even more realistic movie can be made.

  • sound is there for the audience, not the characters, as long as the characters don't respond to the sounds we can assume there is no sound in space, but it's there to make it more entertaining.

even if the characters DO react to sounds it can be explained as part of the sensor systems using audio in conjunction with visual data.

  • fucking impressive.

  • show me how 2 do this please!

  • HOOOOLLLLYYYY SHIT! It looks so real. 5 stars man!

  • fantastic hope you make a full feature soon

  • Great work Dude.

  • This is very good. I love how you can see the light play off the Calamari ship when the air burst goes off above it. Good use of scale and camera dynamics too.

Did you do multi-layer rendering and do post in another app or is this a single pass just using shaders?

  • All you can see is rendered in a single pass (well, and some things that you can't see because of YouTube quality :P).

And I didn't use shaders on this. The explosion is stock footage from DetonationFilms.

    Glad you liked it ;)

  • I got a rreeeeeeeeaaaalllyy long question. I have cinema 4d too and you said you used it. but on the site you wrote in the note there are just models for 3ds max or something else? how did you open them with cinema4d???

  • Cinema 4D can open all 3DS and LightWave objects in that site. The format that C4D can't open is 3ds max. So you can use all the other models (I recommend that you choose LW when possible, because in a lot of cases there are conversion issues).

  • I've had to convert a lot of ships from that site, so I'll tell you one thing: most times, 3DS objects appear with some parts symmetrically rotated. To fix that, you have to make the scale of that part negative in one of the axis, most times in the X axis. Good luck ;)

  • no offence, but this is ILM material... need to post more to believe it.

  • LOL, that's a great compliment... or a provocation to make me animate more scenes and post them :P

Hehe, well... unfortunately I won't be able to work on this project for the reasons stated before. Sorry, guys :-/

  • this is impressive. Can you animate the B-wing in battle scenes? The original had to cut them out.

  • Yeah, sure. In fact I have some scenes in mind (and storyboarded) in which B-wings are the center of the action ;)

And thanks for the comments, guys.

  • I have confidence in your abilities. When you get online, give me a reply so i can check it out.

  • beautiful , i hope to see more starwars work in the future :)

  • To Coruscant space battle...? I didn't think about that. Perhaps subconsciously :P

Thanks for your kind comments, guys. I don't know when I'll work again in this project, because I'm now animating space shots for "StarWars: Threads of Destiny", a Swedish fanfilm.

  • It's simalar to the beggining of episode 3. It views a republic attack cruiser moving along and then anakin and obi wan whizz past in their jedi starfighters.

  • Referance to coruscant space?... Even though the battle of endor came bfore the battle of coruscant (in movie order)

  • MORE PLEASE! NOW PLEASE!

  • well done. Make more.

  • i like ist, too. I hope there is more to come soon

  • MAKE A LONGER ONE!:p so beautifully done

  • i liked!
