iv been learning on this, some what of a toy guitar and im sick of it

i played on a actual guitar and it was so much easier, the strings where much closer to the fretboard.

and sound a lot better.

I have an acoustic ibanez, it was about 350, and the sound is great. Its a good guitar for a middle price range. The best would be Martin, Gibson, Taylor...but those are up over 600 usually

It's a hard decision as it's a really personal decision. Go to a shop and try out loads of different ones including ones you can't afford, that will help you know what the best are like so you know a good one when it comes into your price range.

If you're lucky enough to go to the states when it's nearly time to purchase, think about getting one there. The US brands (Martin, Taylor, Gibson) are the same in Dollars as they would be in Pounds. Therefore, half price!

the thing is a nylon string guitar have a bigger space between the strings and the fretboard usually and a steel string guitar is very close to the fretboard, and it sounds nicer to;)

Justin, just got the DVD solo blues guitar vol. 1 and have to say, it's brilliant and very well explained, slow enough for us novices but with faster versions. Great job, well worth the money.  By the way, I am playing on a Spanish classical guitar, any tips for "curling" and fret 12 type chords?

The DVD arrived today. Sorry if my previous post sounded rude or anything. It's just that $50 is a lot of money for me and I get worried about these kind of things. Haven't got a chance to play it yet, but the tabs look good.
