I have this exact one, sitting if front of me now, I like it. Downside is that if you move the music changes it. Play a song and go back to the song menu is the only way to get it off shake mode.

@hanypants Yeah. I actually got mad at mine, ripped it open, pulled the guts out, found the part that is the "shake to move" and tore it out with a screwdriver LOL. I didn't think it would still work, but I smashed it all back into the metal case and it did. Pretty resistant little device.

as a new owner of this one, i have some questions to the other owners of this clone

1)Is the menu scroll as crazy as mine so you can't use it normally and by every slight touch makes it go all through the menu?

2)What is the on\off button you use?Does the on\off swith on the up work for you or do you use the play\pause ►|| ?

@oxyscream Honestly, I don't even know where this thing went, I use my phone now. However, I do remember a little bit. I never used the "scroll wheel", I just clicked through with the up/down. 2. I used the on/off at the top. Thanks for watching.

@roger82it It feels a bit cheaper, the software installed on it is not actual iPod software, it doesn't have a "hold" switch (rather, an on/off switch), and it wasn't made by Apple. Its a cheap clone of a real iPod designed to give the look of an iPod without actually being one. Its fairly decent as a cheap MP3 player and a GREAT gift for a child who isn't quite responsible enough to have a real iPod. :]

LAWL! what a deal! i plugged this into my computer and itunes recognized it as an ipod nano 5th gen with a memory error. it asked me if i wanted to upgrade the firmware so naturally i agreed. well i'll be, i got an ipod nano 5th gen 4 gig for like $40! The software from apple works perfect on this ipod!!

@AmoreEMorto Not quite as long as a real ipod...but I'd guesstimate it at about 4-5 hours+ brand new out of the box. It still holds around the same charge now, after almost a year of use.~ :]

cheapo's are better cause if they bweak for the money you can just replace it. while ipot costs x100/200 to FIX or REPLACE. lulz also ppl stay away from fuze....worst choice ever....wheels mechincal...locks up easily....also they rarely have the software to convert movie' files online anyone as I have foun out too sooon. x.x

LOL! For all those wondering how to stop the stupid "shake to skip songs" feature...I can't believe what I just did worked. I ripped this thing open with nothing but a tiny flat-head screw driver. I located the thing that shakes to skip. Its a little white box near the camera. I bit it off with my teeth and smashed everything back into the case. I'll be damned - it works!

I agree with you, the feeling is a bit cheap with the crappy scrolling but it also feels like a iPod and also I think the camera quality is great. Also it uses windows media player not iTunes but not sure if you could possibly format it to be able to use itunes

I assume on your PC. My library is all on iTunes. Although you can't use iTunes to add the music, you CAN use it to add album art to the music file. I assume any other program is the same.

Problems? Like, the song changing in my pocket? It DOES do that some times. Its kind of a pain if you are riding your bike. But, when I'm just walking or sitting, its fine. If you jog with your ipod, it could be a real issue.

It just shows up as a storage device, and you drop music files right to the MUSIC folder on the root.

I didn't have to do any drivers, thank god...it only comes with one of those mini-discs, and I only have a slot loading CD drive.

It didn't work on my Windows 7 PC, although it DOES show up, it loses its connection suddenly.

It won't show at all on my Mac.

It works fine on my XP machine.

The size is approx. the same as the real one. I think you'd be OK with a case.

I wouldn't say its laggy...but, this is just a 2 GB version. Maybe not enough songs to make it laggy? The scroll wheel is...eh..."sticky". Not as great as the real iPod, but it does work. I prefer to use the "up/down" feature instead.

I would estimate that it lasts more than 2 hours. I haven't really went on any road trips to test it (I always charge it when I get home) but the battery only sucks on video camera mode.

Not so much. It certainly works, but it really doesn't scroll quite as well as a real iPod. The "skip song" button also works as an up/down for the menu, and I tend to use that to avoid over shooting the selection I want.
