@NostalgicLink It's called military bearing. You learn to obey commands with speed and intensity amidst chaos and confusion. It conditions the mind so that if and when you face combat, you'll be able to follow orders and accomplish objectives with distractions surrounding you (i.e. gunfire, explosions, loud noises, etc.).

I know what bearing is, and this guy had perfect bearing... but he allegedly 'failed' this test of bearing, because he literally couldn't hear the command. Kind of like when your kid has his music blaring in the living room and you loudly ask him to turn it down, but he doesn't respond... has nothing to do with bearing, he just couldn't hear you.
@PancakesoftheLove Bearing is being able to hold your calm, despite the immature jokes being cracked... bearing is having a sort of aura to oneself that seems professional and astute... a perfect example are those British guards with the tall hats... they stand there for hours upon hours paying no mind to the distracting people around them... they keep to their post, but also maintain total awareness. They make your mind into a machine that will follow every command no matter what - the whole point of boot camp for enlisted. The point of an officer's boot camp is to train them how to lead those enlisted persons that will follow any command, within reason, of course. BUT, if the machine can't hear the command then it can't follow.

The judges are the ones yelling. It's all in good fun, and it actually is REALLY fun to do. You not only have to have the skill to drill well, you also have to be able to not laugh.

@DangerD205 Well, when I was in AFJROTC, every drill competition was done by the book in the 'Drill And Ceremonies Manual'. Everything was done according to the uniform code as well - for me, it was AFI-36-2903. But that's just me :). No, no...you're not being rude at all :D.

Trust me, google brings up loads) But, this video,, this is MM(A)? lol...Mixed Military, they have US Army, USAF, USMC, But I doubt the Navy will be stopping by...Bunch of faggots.
