I like Joey's Ghost Story 1, 2 and 3, they're very unique true love story which touch the hearts of all who watched. The new version starring Louis Koo is also very good and with special effects too.

I just watched the movie and I am impressed again from the Chinese actors play. They are really amazing and I would better watch it instead of any of the Hollywood crap coming in the last few years. Do you guys agree that the last few years the Chinese movies are way better? Think IP Man, Shaolin, House Of Flying Daggers, Reign of Assassins and so many more. @angelkeith69: Oh! In the Chinese mythology, the Green Snake will come back to save her sister. The White Snake would be reunited with her husband and her son (They got a son before she had been arrested). I think it's a happy ending for all of them. ^^

There are a couple of different variation where they do meet again. But that's just because the author wanted a happy ending.

The only things I felt would have made this movie perfect is some explanation for the Green Snake's behaviour and lack of reciprocation.

Also, kind of unexpected that the White Snake would have caused the demons to escape...she was always depicted as benevolent and merciful.

This was a very different adaptation of "Madame White Snake" they made it seems like both side were good. In other adaptations they make it seems like the buddha was the only bad one.

@Yukisan31 It was so surprising. Most of the "Legend of the White Snake" remakes always make the monk (Fahai) a bad character and nigh-unstoppable. But Jet Li's character showed some humanity and actually had a moment of vulnerability. They had a lot of character and plot twists in this remake, which I feel is for the better.
