The reason why nobody stopped you on your way in is because Mexicans are not scare of who is getting into their country as you guys are. 2. If you knew a little bit of Spanish you will notice that the line where you were trying to pass your car was BUS line not Cars line... a little bit of culture and a open way to see the things can help you next time.

I am American and so are you, but I have spent enough time living and studying in Mexico to know that while the Mexican government makes many laws, most of them are rarely and selectively enforced. It is illegal, for example, to enter an intersection against a red light in Mexico, but try walking through busy Mexico City intersections some time. They have laws forbidding the ownership and importation of many weapons, but somehow they come into the US from Mexico. This isn't racism. It's fact.
I like crossing the border evry year that we go 2 Mexico :) hopefully we go these year:)
