I'm catching up on some of your vids I missed and enjoying myself so much. You have this beautiful peaceful relaxing folk sound Andreas, one of the best I ever heard. really! :)) I just love the way you sing a song and play it. That intro was really nice, don't worry my ears recovered lol ;) Besides being entertained with wonderful music from you we always get a learning experience out of it too. Very sweet sounding song, you make it sound sweeter my fabulous friend! :)))
hi Rick my bro, you may be sure I'm always missing your reviews and so enjoy it when they come later! there's not nearly as much traffic at my site, but it's enough to get a clue what might happen... ;) never mind my buddy! I won't tell you "DLSings" channel, cause you might freak out, one more great talent! Dani's just heading for CCMA fanfest and looks for supporters! I didn't tell you, right? haha! - eww, this KD Lang piece is so challenging, but I love it so much, thanks for kindness!
@TheLangChannel thanks so much for your kind comment!! I really feel honored, said by such a KD expert!! as I can't howl so beautifully like her, I thought the wolves might help me a bit ;). was glad to see her performing live last year...
Imagine the hypocrisy ;) Some certain bear taught me to walk past minor flaws and share my performance without fear. I've since taken this bear's advices to my heart and my concerts happen to be more enjoyable for myself (thank you :) You know I absolutely loved this melody line presented in your dark "in the forest" moody voice and guitar stylings. What is important to me when listening... is that I hear the performers thoughts and I always hear yours, great inspiring work.
aww Mary, it's easier for a bear with big paws to tap through mistakes ignorantly than for a little songbird, but glad it eases anyway! :o) imagine this hypocrisy: each time I hear the 2 bad flaws I get sort of electroshocks by it. it's not so "ease"y lol! it's sucha wonderful song, isn't it? I should work harder on it!
Oh, this is such a special one, Andreas... Howled a little with you. ;) Probably already said that wolves are my favorite animals. So beautiful...this one...that I get chills.
dear Nancy, thanks for another listen!! I would have loved to hear that... ;)) wolves are so special, indeed. always loved the movie Dances with Wolves! :)
Sounds great to me. I'm not familiar with the original, but will check it out. That sounded like a dog or wolf howl starting around 1:50, and then later! Nice.
thankyou Mariah, so nice you came by! you surely won't regret to listen to the original! takes a lot of breath. yes that's told to be wolves' voices! I always wanted to howl with the wolves! ;))
Andreas - this too is one of my favourites from kd - you've done a great job with the guitar interpretation in reflecting the ambience of the song. Your voice suits the haunting feel of the song also.
thanks so much Ann - sorry for being late, been 2 weeks off... I consider my modest version an approach-trial, glad you like this song so much as well! I think it's a fantastic piece.... (oh takes a lot of breath, you can see K.D.'s preference for stretched notes, lol!)
thanks a lot Frank, much appreciated! the original uses a harp, I recommend not to miss it. it's a fantastic song imho, these are my timid advances, but I think it's possible, with guitar... ;)
Oh, will be one of my favorites from you, Andreas. Wonderful! I haven't yet heard the original, but I am positive your cover is no blasphemy! Deliciously melancholic... a wonderful, symbol-laden dream, resplendent with howls and repeating images. Really lovely! Will listen to the original asap. NAncy
thanks so much Nancy! sorry to be late, anyhow I missed out this one before going on journey! I heard KD live last year, among other pieces singing Cohen's Halleluja in an overwhelming performance. and she was barefoot on stage as she seemingly does sometimes... so this song is specially mesmerizing me, also with the absoluteness of it's lyrics... I think you'll undrestand... ;)
