@dolcevitausa it was, it really really was. You could get fireworks, chemistry sets, parents who allowed freedom but knew when to discipline, kids played outside vs. indoors, running through the sprinkler, 70's were THE BEST to be a kid. The 80's a very close followup
re: The Kentucky Fried chicken commercial. Nowadays, they dont give you a choice between original recipe and extra crispy. I never cared for the extra crispy.. I always prefered the original recipe. Now they sell only the extra crispy. no more original recipe. :-(
Can't help but notice that talented composers were recruited to write the scores and jingles for all these commercials. Completely different from the obnoxious noises and cut-to's in today's adverts.
WOW....that Golden Graham's ad totally forgot about that but just hearing that jingle activiated the part of my brain were that memory is stored and reminded me that commercial came of ALOT during Saturday mornings:)
