  • G0O ENGALNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND

  • I'm English and don't get me wrong i fully respect the Haka and all other rugby players will because they are rugby players/fans not footballers but a little bit of friendly competition from the crowds we respect the haka but, put yourself in the players position i know i couldn't be more physced for a game if i tried after the haka and 70,000 people singing swing low ;)

  • that match was in Twickenham?

  • Personally, whilst I don`t want Rugby reduced to the screaming that goes on during football matches, I think that this was perfectly fine is a proud Rugby nation who used to govern a quarter of the world. If we don`t want to just lie down and accept a war dance meant to intimidate, why should we, or anyone else for that matter

  • Cannot stand Sweet Chariot. What a pain!

  • @chanctonbury63. Swing Low Sweet Chariot you mean!

  • @mr9396 Not really.

  • @chanctonbury63. Swing low....Sweet chariot.... COMING FORTH TO CARRY ME HOME!!!! Sorry, but i love this song. haha

  • For f*ck sake. It's Rugby guys.. from 4 years ago. New Zealand has the Haka? Excellent! So England gave them a bit of Sweet Chariot, something that we're proud of too. I don't think New Zealand really gave a sh*t anyway. To be frank, I don't even think England did, it's all laughs.

  • BRILLIANT!

  • Continuing on from my last one they get to do the haka now i have no objection to the haka i think its great adds to the atmosphere but what i hate is the fact the they think its diresceptful to look at them funny or any of that its just dumb I mean they banned the Aussie Fans in Sydney from singing Waltzing Matilda for god sake i mean how petty are they? sorry NZers its the damn truth

  • @MrYungy123 what is worse, they banned the Bagpipes in this last WC. And they only reason they won is cos everyone else wimped out.

  • New Zealanders have this idea that they are superior to everyone else because they have rugby and their good at it, theirs almost sad because their entire lives revolve around defending New Zealnd and how supposedly great it is, how do I know this? I live down the road from one and instead of saying great match or something like that he just says " aha fucking Aussies no match for the mighty All Blacks" and if any NZers say stupid and defensive things it only proves my point

    Hi from and Aussie

  • i think this is great stuff, good for the fans no need to put up with the haka if they dont want too

  • ENGLAND RUGBY'S A JOKE. Let be honest, the average Englishman is worse at all sports compared to the average New Zealander. Excuses is all i hear, 50 million and they still win nothing hahahahahahaha, Stick to inventing sports.

  • @coryjost11 like what ? rugby lol , what you idiots forget is the average englishman wont even know the the rules too rugby or cricket but still stay near the top of the rankings, All english care about is football which were not so great at but still in the top 10 of that sport and 4th in the last olympic medal tables. not bad for a shitty little wet island. where were you ?

  • ALL BLACKS WORLD CHAMPS nuff said !!!!

  • Why is the all blacks special? Why are they more important than us? We conquered one third of the world! What did 'The mighty NZ' conquer? Stewart Island? If anyone it is us English who should get the right to sing after the national anthems not a set of islands at the bottom of the world. Bloody ridiculous.

  • @ThePrinceofcapri How can you compare new zealand and the British empire together? The British Empire gave birth to new zealand...

  • @ThePrinceofcapri "We conquered one third of the world! What did 'The mighty NZers conquer?"

    The Rugby World. BOOYAH!

England is nothing more than a poxy, wet little island with nothing more to show for her once great empire than her former colonies belting the crap out of her at every sport she invented.

Piss off and GO THE MIGHTY ALL BLACKS!!!

  • well done you conquered nothing but a sport that comes way down the ranking s in the eyes of most englishmen . but if it makes you feel better im glad for you

  • @nathf1980 Bahaha! O.K. stick to football then, oh wait, you're useless at that as well.

    Never mind.

  • @WhistlingTomahawk yeah 5th in the world is really bad, but theres 10s of millions of football fans and hundreds of national teams. bit different from rugby , lets not forget thats your first world cup in how many years ? we were there for the last 2 finals . cant be that bad at sport can we .

  • I agree with the English. Why should nz get the right to do their wardance and noone else can follow their tradition or sing a patriotic song? I mean scotland can't play thier bagpipes so why do those stupid island nations get to do theirs? Why should they get special rights that the rest of us don't? I think we were completly right to sing over the wardance it showed those arrogant kiwi's that they're not on top of everyone!

  • ENGLAND RULEZZZZ

  • England just beat NZ haha

  • the haka is war type dance, (i like it by the way) but any team in the world can also confront and sing over it as its not a national anthem , ok you can say about about respect but the haka is an invite for a fight so we should be able to retaliate. just becouse we out sung the haka is no reason to complian, the haka has been used to intimidate, we wasnt intimated simple as .

  • cant beat england fans!!!

  • It's not an anthem by the way, it's a challenge. One which Twickenham received and responded to. If there is an issue with that then let's stop the Haka all together (which would not be my preference)

  • I was there, this was brilliant

  • the haka is prety much another part of the national anthem when it comes to rugby games that is quite fucking rude of them to do you wouldnt see it done here

  • the haka war cry really is funny...because New Zealand's army is weak....and all of u fucks saying that its sacred shut up because Swing Low Sweet Chariot is monumental to events that happened in England

  • @source1zero - fully agree with you :)

  • Beautiful to see two cultures showing their uniqueness and cultural identity at the same time. A true privilege and a homage to humanity. Neither were disrespecting the other, they were both war cries.

  • All Blacks do the Haka, England sings

    That's the way it works

  • it's exactly like that that rugby will keep it's message of fair play, you ridiculously proud englishboy. Haka is no provocation, so don't answer it by stupid provocation (moreover, you've seen the price of it)

  • No matter where they come from this not about origins, just about your country : if you love your country, respect it's history and love it too.

Haka is not only a way of intimidation, it's first of all a way to be self-confident. OK you can give a response to the haka, like frenchies did in 2007, but certainly not by singing sweet chariot. it is like a second anthem for them, and would you appreciate opponents singing "à la santé du roi de France" during the "god save the queen" ?

  • @MrSkeloss that's ridiculous. you can't compare an anthem to the haka. NZ can have it, England fans have a right to sing in their own fucking stadium. It's not disrespectful, it's patronage and good support. Grow up!

  • @dave790 grow up, grow up... you should look at your comment, first. There is no matter of "right to do stg", don't tell me that it was no provocation. Englishmen have no traditional "second anthem" they chose to do it just to drown haka, it's written in the title...

  • @MrSkeloss So? It's not like the Haka is being booed or openly disrespected. It's an act of defiance more than anything. People pay good money to see live rugby and have every right to contribute to a competitive atmosphere. It's sung before and during nearly every England game. It's not offensive to NZ. The Haka isn't offensive to England. Singing over one another's anthems is a different matter. Take a deep breath, try not to confuse yourself, and just soak up a momentous atmosphere.

  • @dave790 so you don't agree with anyone that commented this video... It appears that you are the only one saying it's no offensive...

(and can you say that singing this beautiful song during the haka, they were not provocating?)

I suggest we stop this conversation, people don't care.

  • hahahah, dat was so good shuting the haka up by singing sweet chariot

  • Weirdness - SWSC was IIRC written by a freed Native American not an African American, and a good proportion of the New Zealand team are not of Maori descent. So the English are singing a song about a Jewish prophet written by a freed Choctaw slave to a bunch of New Zealanders whose predominantly pakeha predecessors ripped off a 'war' haka originally performed before matches by the New Zealand Natives. SNAP!!! BTW the uploading date should indicate that this is itself HISTORY.

  • Hello You Pommy Bastards. This Is A New Zealander. I Find This Very Disrespectful, At Least Sing Your Shit Choir Stuff Afterwards. THEN It Would've Been A Respectful Response To 'Intimidation'. It's A Good Thing We Kicked Your Ass Anyways After This. >:D

  • @DominicBlaze11 why should you get the right to a silly little war dance whilst no one else can? that's disrespectful in itself.

  • @DominicBlaze11 Hello you Kiwi prick, this is an Englishman here We will do exactly as we want, when we want, and it would take more than any Kiwi to stop us. So you find it disrespectful...Tough, harden up.

  • @DominicBlaze11 hello you new zealand cunt. stuff your rugby, stuff your little shitty island in the middle of nowhere. We are England. We are proud. And We are here. Forever. You little kiwi fucks can't do anything about that, your shitty little fuck head country (if you can call it that) is nothing more than a blip on the radar, before you ever disrespect us. Remember this. If we wanted your country, we wouldn't even have to use force to take it. You are nothing.

  • @2k10JD

We are England, and we are proud. And we ditched your kind of racism a long time ago. Supporting your home nation doesnt mean you have to be a c**t to others. Watching the haka, well I love that. Sets the scene for a proper game of rugby. Its a challenge, and should be met in the same spirit.

  • @GamingNetworkShow Don't talk such rubbish its designed to intimidate and challenge the opposition, the fans singing is their answer to intimidation. I'm sure the players can take it. It has nothing to do with invading its a sport stop bring politics into everything, people like you ruin wonderful sports like rugby

  • @GamingNetworkShow Pfft ignorant idiots. Go die in a hole if your so ashamed.

  • LOVE.. IT!!!

  • The haka is a war chant or a challenge to the opponent

Swing low is England fans accepting the challenge

  • Rude in my eyes. When England walked right up to the All blacks doing the Haka i loved it. Its accepting the challenge. But singing over it is just disrespecting a great

    Rugby tradition.

  • @welshrawbit like fuck is it we just showed them how great we are

  • @clones234 yeh. righto. knobhead

  • Swing low, sweet chariot is an african american slave song about how the african slaves wanted to go back to africa. The english fans started singing this as a racist chant. fucktards

  • @ramzzzzz10 ur actually retarded.

  • @ramzzzzz10 Mate, it's the English Rugby Anthem. Not a racist chant in any way what so ever. Pretty sure this isn't football.

  • @ramzzzzz10 No its not, its a song that originated from the Church and is now the England Rugby teams anthem you fuckatard!

  • get over urselves u sing ur haka we will sing swing low we sing it to every other team so why shouldnt we sing it to NZ ENGLAND IS AWSOME

  • I love the way that when the song ends, the haka has not so it just merges into another chorus of Swing Lows until they are done.

TBH We were only ever going to lose then to the All Blacks so it doesn't mater about the lack of respect, we were already screwed!

  • I find watching the haka a tad embarrassing to be honest.....We should just give them the agincourt salute.....two fingers hehe.

  • who won that game anyway?

  • SWING LOOOOWWWW SWEEEET CHARIOOOOT!

  • I am half welsh and half english, two very good teams, they both may lose at times, but both teams never back down.

  • my dad's english and my mum is kiwi, so i have perspective on both sides of the fence so to speak. I think the all blacks and their fans have a superiority complex, as though they have a right to things. They're the only team who can perform before the match, as well as the national anthem, and they get upset when England's second kit is black. It's ridiculous. Scotland weren't allowed to have their bagpipes for the world cup, yet island nations can do war dances. Ridiculous.

  • @EileenLarvin The kit thing was ridiculous. It it the equivalent to England complaining that France's change-strip is all white! To actually ban bagpipes among the Scots is also pathetic.

  • @EileenLarvin just a racist kiwi huh, guess you think all maori's are violent criminals too, pffff if you were a real kiwi you'd understand how important the haka is to OUR culture, don't see any other countries doing this shit, by the way im half maori, half english but pommies have no respect for different cultures FULL STOP !!!!

  • @86nugget19 I didn't mention anything bad about race . I understand the importance of the haka, I just don't think that they should be the ONLY ones that get to do something before a match, as it discrimminates other teams. Some teams might not want to do something before a match, but they should at least get the choice.

  • why do England choose a southern Negro song to answer a challenge to a Maori song ? and Scotland & Ireland's songs use English words as well, at least we sing in if not speak in our own language. CYMRU AM BYTH !!

  • Fuck what a fuckin pansy rackett. When are you going to show up to the game with players instead of 60 thousand drunk arse flat wannabe singers.

  • @MyTaniwha A Kiwi calling us pussies? Do you know how many rules NZ has got the IRB to implment regarding the Haka? Here's just a few:

•You can’t sing a song afterwards (or they’ll do the haka in the changing rooms, with TV cameras of course – just to give you some crap PR).

•You can’t go eyeball to eyeball to them – they got the IRB to write in the rules how far away you have to be from the halfway line, 10 yards only

  • @MyTaniwha

•You can’t stand there and stare at them or they’ll moan you are looking for a fight (cheers Nonu, looking for a fight as a response to a war dance, how dare we).

•You can’t even respond how it is meant to be responded to – the outcry of Brian O’Driscoll’s response on the last Lions tour to New Zealand was impressive for both it’s level of response and it’s ignorance of it’s own ‘culture’

You play on the Haka way too much so as to get a 'special status' in the game.

  • @TheARMAProductions Hey Rambo stop crying your team is no competion haka or no haka and yeah its a negro song u respond with you Maori haters cunts

  • @MyTaniwha Note how you have just avoided everything I have said haha.

  • @MyTaniwha If the Haka was really a war dance and you guys had balls then u wouldn't get the IRB to implement all these rules so as to make the opposing team look weaker by seriously restricting their response to it. You guys won't even allow other teams to eye ball you lol. Even the Welsh are now calling for the Haka to be taken out of Rugby for these reasons. You guys seem to think you should be given special status in Rugby. What's there to be scared of? Al that should matter is the game...

  • ENGLAND!! Home of the LION!!! :@

  • Swing low, sweet chariot,

    Comin' for to carry me home;

    Swing low, sweet chariot,

Comin' for to carry me home.

  • That's how you show the other team they are in someone's home.

  • this is a fact we english fans are the most dedicacted sons of bitches to our teams :D

  • swing low!!!

  • Rule no.1 Never try to take on English fans....

  • or risk having a smashed bottle in your face - proud

  • @bensdadtim What can I say to that mate...the English are a warrior race. Always have been always will be. Violence is a part of our culture for good and for bad. On the one hand there's stupid fights in every town centre on the weekends and it causes all kinds of issues...on the other our allies are happy to use us up at the front line. Whether on the street or on the battlefield you can be assured the English like a good fight.

  • @TheARMAProductions awks how the all blacks one, shot bro

  • @TheARMAProductions Actual Rule no.1 dont fuck the all blacks

  • @TheARMAProductions - true that accept how did u do this world cup you did SHIT

  • @TheARMAProductions tell me about it. i'm welsh but nothing comperes to rugby league games. its crazy

  • @ThreeCodesOfRugby Yeah League is hardcore mate. I prefer League.

  • @TheARMAProductions yeah i'm going to watch wales beat nz in in the four nations its going to be amazing win or lose

  • @ThreeCodesOfRugby no offense, but it what way is league better than union? oh i'm sorry, you were tackled, that must be a penalty, give me a break

  • @2k10JD i'm not saying its better so don't get all worked up. i love union, 7's and league. its just that i have been to more rugby league games because i prefer it. i was only saying that because the rugby league fans are mostly English. and wtf are you on about with the tackling and penalties???

  • Why are the English wearing red? Are they just wishing they were Welsh?!

  • @heatherkayejones Why would we wish we were Welsh? England has pawned you over the years and Wales has never won the RUWC? Damn some of you guys enarf think allot of yourselves don't ya? lol

  • @heatherkayejones We wear red in football too, what's your point? You do realise the St. George's cross is RED right?

  • @heatherkayejones haha wishing they were welsh that made me laugh... no. -_-

  • @heatherkayejones they were only wearing a red jacket when you see some of the take it off you see the trade mark white kit :)

  • @heatherkayejones called a tracksuit top mate, no one wants to be an inbreed sheep shagger lol

  • @manu14dabst like your mum?

  • Brilliant, ha!

  • Love the Haka but love Sweet Chariot more Sorry

  • they challenged us we did the same. COME ON ENGLAND

  • i fell sorri for england bluddyahg all blacks

  • Fuck the all blacks.

    Maori little fucks.

  • @KamiKazeRecords Your going to die tomorrow in a car accident. Your mum is going to drop your ash remains. Your family will die next week. All the kids in your family will get raped later on in life.

  • man england is rude !! u could have waited till we had finished :/

  • @beiber123fever4eva u could have waited till they had finished its there home why do you get privilage over them

  • shut the fuck up

  • @trovao12thor haha or what cyba gangster

  • makes me proud to be English

  • Epic. Just epic.

Respect to New Zealand too though, you guys rock!

  • Im english and you dont like to see that but its good to see the support for the boys!

  • I am an Englishman giving in New Zealand. Yes, they hold the Haka close to their hearts here, but there is nothing wrong with the English singing over it. The Haka does not give New Zealand any special staus, nor should it. Good on the English for singing so beautifully. A LOT better than booing.

  • @michendo Giving in New Zealand? It's traditional and sacred, New Zealand does not have special status, the Haka does. You don't know the first thing about respect but what can you expect from the English?

  • PWND.

  • haha that worked out well for the english.. 32-6

  • @90lang

Do you know what also worked out well for the English? the 2003 RWC final and the 2007 RWC quarter final, see you in NZ you Aussie mug ;)

  • You can't expect to go to another country do ur war cry and they just sit there. stop bitching and stay of the p :)....:

  • the haka harks back to way back when the New Zealanders used to practice cannibalism.

Aye, way back to what was the last reported case..1969?

    LoL, dirty animals!

  • @britishbulldog2008 I'm English eh! and you are talking bollocks. Really, shut the fuck up. The last 'reported' cases were in the 1800's. Back when England still burnt 'witches' at the stake.

So please DO NOT EVER associate your ignorant bile with A: British/Britain, B: The beautiful creature that is a British Bulldog. Or C: Any Person or Music or creature associated with England. You are nothing more than the puss oozing from a putrid cunt. Fuck You and fuck off from my country

  • @BlogBitch, you know NOTHING you little fool.

  • All I see and here is grown men going OOGA BOOGA! Stupid monkeys.

  • The embarrasing for england is that we can still hear the Haka :P

  • Boring and tedious. About time it was stopped.

  • What's wrong with tradition? The British lick the ass of an old bourgeois and their grandchildren and nobody says anything ... for me, the haka is more worthy!

  • @lapettyted fuck u im british and im offended so fuck u you little shit

  • @Eurovision468 ok, now go back to lick the ass of monarchs!!!

  • @lapettyted: Who's New Zealand's head of state? Oh yes, The Queen. Which makes New Zealand a monarchy!

  • I'm with Peacecap, a great response by the England fans...

  • i am south african, and support the springbucks so i am not biased here! i dont think anyone should be rude about the haka! its a tradition, and it is entertaining to watch! besides any good team is mentaly strong enough to withstrand it, a little intimidation gets the blood pumping on both sides! good sportsmanship is far to often lacking amongst the fans! im sure all blacks can handle the englands songs and im sure england can handle watching the hakka! it makes for good tv! PEACE ALL!

  • Ka ora Ka ora It is life It is life Ka mate Ka mate It is death It is death Ka ora Ka ora It is life It is life Tenei Te Tangata Puhuruhuru This is the hairy man Nana i tiki mai whakawhiti te ra Who caused the sun to shine again for me Upane Upane Up the ladder Up the ladder Upane Kaupane Up to the top Whiti te ra The sun shines! . Its a war cry, and a challange, england are more than welcome to come up with some kind of call or chant and kiwis will respect it
  • read the whole wiki entry on New_Zealand_national_rugby_union_team

    before you hate on them

  • Fuck you. ignorant fucks

  • @shanbutterfly2 Remember that the haka is technically banned by the laws of rugby. The laws state that any intimidation of the opposition is forbidden. The various hakas have always been used as intimidation, on the field of war and the rugby pitch and thus are banned. So really, I think we show a lot of respect by even letting you lot do the wee dance before kick off.

Before you call me ignorant, I'm an Englishman in NZ and have been studying both rugby and Maori culture for a while now.

  • The Haka's are an integral part of playing any team from the Pacific Islands and NZ, it adds to atmosphere, while it might not be meant to be intimidatory to the opposition it can be felt to be like that, and i welcome more teams standing up on the half way line or asI believe the irish once did slowly walking towards it. it adds to the intensity.if the All blacks WC record is anything to go by the haka doesn't work. how many cups have they won after all?

  • Fuckin goosebumps!

  • Partof the enjoyment of watching New Zealand is seeing them perform the Haka before the game. I'd have hated to be at the match listening to what is now effectively a football chant drowning out an iconic performance. This illustrates a demise in the general behaviour of fans from hard core fans who would be quiet at the kicks to fans wearing England football shirts to matches and swearing at the referee when he makes a correct decision but against their own team.

  • @phy1mlm Shut up.

  • Makes you proud to be English

  • You can't beat the fields of Athenry !!

  • Was at the game! Epic voice guys!

  • chills down my spine. absolutely love it :)

  • i love the england fans

  • that singing was beautiful screw the gimpy haka we just look at you and laugh

  • The Haka has got nothing to do with culture..they just feel insecure enough that they need a dance to try and scare us...SWING LOW!

  • Damn this crowd is LOUD!! :D

  • Comment removed

  • @SapzElite who let the wannabe tough guys comment.Shut up idiot...you make us englishmen look like talkers.

  • fuck the haka

  • was this filmed with a microwave

  • One Of The Best Vids Ever :D

  • Amazing!

  • This is certainly no surprising.

Perhaps english players needed the support of 80000 people to challenge a couple of dozens of uneducated kiwis.

Perhaps Sebastian Chabal has more balls than all of them together.

Perhaps this has something to do with an 80 % winning record against the english national team.

    Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps...

  • @iwannabeadored what on earth are you going on about? jesus christ i've not read so much shite.

  • @iwannabeadored perhaps your gay

  • What a shame and lack of respect!

If things had been the opposite and the english anthem had been drowned out, we´d still be reading furious protests...

  • @malkovich78 Considering the NZ are part of the commonwealth they'd be chanting over their own anthem in a way. Try again.

Its plain annoying how NZ can force this on teams to intimidate and throw the toys out of the pram when teams like Ireland/ Wales etc an their fans stand up to it like its an insult.

NZ aren't special in anyway, they don't have any special rights over other teams and if the opposite team/fans don't want to accept their war dance they don't have too..

    Just get over it.

  • @Crushem12 As far as I know the Commonwealth is a union of NATIONS formally sharing the same sovereign but in the practice beeing independent each other, keeping their own anthems, flags, etc... it´s funny to observe how the vast majority of english tend to see the rest of the Commonwealth as a sort of colonies or oversea territories belonging to England but most of the citizens from NZ, Australia, etc don´t share whatsoever that same feeling...

  • @Crushem12 Anyway that wasn´t the subject: the issue is why the english anthem (and others) must be respected and the Haka -which is a sort of national anthem for NZ- and by the way VERY MUCH OLDER, doesn´t; may be you feel england is special or morally superior? it´s only a matter of tradition and if you like rugby you´ll understand how important is tradition in this sport.

  • @malkovich78 don't mean to go on, i have the upmost respect for the kiwis and I am looking forward to the day I can visit and learn about the culture.

But considered this "swing low" has become an anthem of ours thanks to mr Oti. Why, in the interest of fairness, would you be allowed to preform the Haka and we can't bang out some choruses of our tune?

  • @malkovich78 The way I see it is the difference is that the haka is supposed to intimidate opponents. Thus to stand there and 'just take it' would be seen as week and may give a psychological advantage to the all blacks. Don't New Zealand ALSO get the national anthem played as well?

  • @malkovich78 Nothing wrong with them singing over it its not their national anthem its just a cultural dance to upset the opposition therefore is fair game for the oppo fans to try and unnerve them. People are offended far too easily these days,

  • @Crushem12 By the way take a look at wikipedia and learn about the present meaning of the dance:

"Today, haka constitute an integral part of formal or official welcome ceremonies for distinguished visitors or foreign dignitaries, serving to impart a sense of the importance of the occasion"

So please: try to be emphatic, learn form other cultures and yes -I agree with you- get over it.

  • @malkovich78

Stop making fallacious relativistic arguments. We can drown out the stupid Haka if we want.

  • @TheBassmaster1986 Of course you can show how stupid you are and even be proud of it, intelligence is overestimated and internet is a good place for people like you to gather in.

Getting a little of common sense with age is not an option in your case as you're already 25...just accept your limitations and be happy.

  • @TheBassmaster1986 Dimwit.

  • @malkovich78 Each team should be allow one anthem. And i don't believe for one second it's some kind of welcoming dance. The Haka puts teams off regardless of it's intent and you can be damn sure the all blacks know it.

I believe and always will that the Haka is used provoke fear also like to say we did not drown out the one anthem you should be allowed to sing.

I'm writing all this but I like the Haka just saying.

  • I absulutly hate this bloody song
