  • This soooo takes me back! Love reliving the memories; I love this band!!

  • in my dreams i am married to John Taylor!!! then i wake up! FUCK!

  • hot! white hot!!

  • eu tenho esse show em fita k7 que eu comprei na galeria do rock em são paulo no brasil, muito bom gostei muito aeeeeeeeeeeeeeee DURAN DURAN.

  • I have a bootleg tape from the Rum Runner back in 1981...awesome songs!!!

  • @Duranie225 i will literally pay you for a copy

  • @newfuckingwave It's on cassette tape and I have no way to copy it right now. Hoping I can afford to get it copied soon to digital format to preserve it.

  • @Duranie225 that is so fucking cool. the thing to do would be not only to copy it digitally, but to transfer it directly from cassette to reel-to-reel at high IPS. i would pay good money for the latter of the two (as i am an analogue guy), although i would love whatever i could get. were you actually there bootlegging it or what?

  • @newfuckingwave Oh Lord no! That thing was made in 1981 @ The Rum Runner in Birmingham, England, and I was in like 6th or 7th grade :) A friend bought the bootleg LP and I recorded the tape from that LP.

  • @Duranie225 and for the LP . . . i can't imagine how high i would be willing to go on that. thanks for sharing

  • if they play Faster than light in Argentina, i´d go crazy

  • duran duran b sides are the secret about duran duran...

  • @EduRox666 no but your boy rob halford sure as shit was

  • NEED better audio please

  • cannot get over how great they were from the get go (once the "original 5" got together.) really was a great mix of musicians/songwriters, more than half of whom had little to no musical training. loooove this!

(also, simon is so beautiful... *sigh*)

  • neumerder have U done this before? And do I have to bring my own weapons??

    LOLOLOL!

Let me know if U dont get teh lol...

    P.S. I was 13 in 1981 and had 5 of their albums/b-sides.... Can u say Ca-na-da??

  • Arguh, can I be 15 again and know what I know now?????? I would have found that hotel in Cleveland and met Andy. CRAP!!!! Andy is flippin amazing. hubba hubba

  • 1 Trillion $ REWARD to the person who can turn back time!!!

  • when you find the person who can do that PLEASE let me know... I'm dying to be alive during this era.

  • LOL, dying to be alive! :D

    (Just like that phrase...)

  • I am from the future.. sorry

  • @neumerder higher bids allowed? :D

  • I was 13 at this time and i was influenced to start playing the drums by watching Roger. I watched Duran Duran's videos at first to teach myself. I love the way his Tama drums sound in these videos. A fat, rubbery sound! Thanks for these videos!

  • Same here...Roger was a huge influence on me as a young drummer. I was 13 and every week would ask my drum teacher how to play the beats Roger was doing. I brought in a cassette with "Girls on Film" and "Is Anyone Out There?" and said, "Teach me how the hell he plays this?"

  • I still think this is a good song.

  • I have this on vinyl somewhere in my room. I've had it since the 80s. I don't know if anyone remembers an 80s show called Off the Record because Duran Duran would perform their early 80s songs on there. I can't find anything about that show on the net.

  • I have this concert from Off The Record on DVD, it's awesome!

  • 1981 - the firt year I saw Duran Duran in Liverpool. I was 20!! F*****g fantastic!! That concert will always be special to me - 27 years on.

  • I used to comb my hair like john taylor's back in the day lol. people called me 'cousin it' =( when I had acne, they changed it to 'cousin zit' `=(

  • This is a great B side song.

  • That was a great time for Duran, just 5, 22 year olds having a f###ing blast. Must have been awesome for them.

  • I love Simons energy. I always remember he used to fall over on stage, but we soon realised it was part of the act cuz he did it 5 nights in a row and always during grls on film, ha ha, brilliant times, I wish I could relive them all again, sob :(

  • lol you and me both...i'd take 1982 and duran duran and depeche mode concert back to back, with a couple of chicks at my side.

  • Brilliant. I very much appreciate the chance to view this again. What a great band!

  • And it still sounds soooo great on a record player. They always had great 12" single releases, long live the 80's ;-)

  • This song is amazing, I love their B sides as much as their album tracks. Another favourite for me is Like An Angel. Again, a b side. oh and I'm 16 :) and yes I adore Duran Duran!

  • @dizzymisslizzylane ,hi so now you are 18 ,still into duran duran after 2 years ?i am a fan since 1981 and its nice to see someone younger and knows more then just the sex symbols.i am into there music

    .woosh.

  • John Taylor is such a sick bassist!!! he is a bad ass.

  • Plus he plays the one of the best basses in the world, the Aria SB's (Cliff Burton, Billy Gould, Jack Bruce).

  • What album was "Faster than Light" featured on?

If you don't know about it already, the first album was re-released with a new track "The Shore" (previously unreleased) and is fuckin' awesome!

  • Faster Than Light is the b-side of the Girls On Film 7" and 12" singles. Recorded at the same time as the first LP. To The Shore was on the UK version of the first LP. Awesome song!

  • you can find it on the 1st singles cd box set, along with some other class songs from the same time.

  • oh my god! look at andy.. he was so cute back then.

  • Yeah...before he lost all sense and grew out that dreadful cheezy stallion mane mullet in the mid 80's...

  • Is that Newcastle Cith Hall?

  • I think it's funny that you can hear John's bass clearly throughout, but you almost never see him on film. He was so shy of the spotlight back then!

  • GREEEAATTTT!!!!

    Good times!

  • WOW, love Faster Than Light and Late Bar and Khanada.

  • and fame as well i guess, great set of songs back in 81

  • 2 of my favs. Well everythings they do is my fav. Thankyou!!!

  • oops too tired to spell check. everything.

  • How great would it be if they played that live NOW? P.S. Nice blouse Simon!

  • you know I was gonna say that but I love it all anyway.

  • I just realized I have this concert on cassette... I taped it off the radio in like '82 or '83. Wow, I'm old. But I'm still AWESOME! ;-)

  • Wow! Perfect!!!
