  • The Van Diemen's Land Company introduced bounties on the thylacine from as early as 1830, and between 1888 and 1909 the Tasmanian government paid £1 per head for dead adult thylacines and ten shillings for pups. In all they paid out 2,184 bounties, but it is thought that many more thylacines were killed than were claimed for.

  • WE HUMANS ARE MONSTERS!

  • great video, the music fit like a glove, never see this beautiful animal.

  • Ces pauvres animaux avaient l'air d'être plus intelligents. Bien plus que tous ces abrutis qui les ont massacrés ou empechés de se reproduire !!! Quelle bêtise, quel gachis !!!

  • You can say me the title of the song? thanks

  • Damn.... We are a very messed up species........ I believe the world would be better off without humans tbh...

  • i hope its still out there

  • scariest fucking yawn evar!

  • messup in that last post..lol..i meant to say 'so sad that ill never get to see a Tasmanian Tiger live, to think that ...'

  • so sad ill never to think that these are completely gone..ever since I was a kid I thought these were such cool animals.

  • well what a coincidence. i'm a furry and i recently found out about the thylacine so i came here to learn about it!

  • nice, good work

  • if only are cloning techniques were better we could probaly make it fertile

  • Tasmania is probaly our best bet to find one because few people live there and many animals such as the tasmanian devil lives there we need some scientists down there

  • @Evilfish567 gday I live in Tasmania

  • Very nice video my friend, i love the thylacine, thanks

  • What a fascinating animal. It's a shame that they're fucking extinct.

  • awesome suprised its your first!

  • Heartbreaking, utterly heartbreaking. What a magnificent animal! This creature has every quality that our own pet dogs and cats posses and more. Are we humans that ignorant? The bravado, the senseless killing of lesser being goes on to this day; from the cruelty inflicted on a helpless turtle to the macho trophy hunter using a gun and crouching yards away to "outwit" a defenseless animal. Bravo! Idiots.

  • @Rustydymon I agree, thank-you for the comment.

  • SO SAD.

  • We, humans, are shit. So many beautiful species extincted because us.

    Why?????

  • @industriales31 for sure my friend see this beautiful living thing goes away sad.

  • This looks rather similar to a domestic pet a.k.a a dog

  • Wow amazing, so sad that its now exticnt..us the human race, want to sort our fucking act out otherwise theres going to be a lot more exticnt animals on the list .

  • @antjmi already are </3

  • very cool animals. I hope they are still around.

  • THAT WOULD BEEN SUCH A GOOD ANIMAL TOO HAVE AROUND THIS DAY IN AGE.....BUT THE AUSSIES JUST HAD TOO GO HAUNTING

  • Un continente meraviglioso e isolato dal resto del mondo scoperto troppo presto dall'ignoranza europea. Un animale stupefacentemente affascinante sparito per sempre...

  • good video

  • I just watched another video about this animal and they had a picture taken with an automatic movement sensor camera in the forest of tazmana and its looks like they are still around, what the picture showed was the back half of what looks like one with the strips. Could it be they are still around? I hope so.

    Thanks ,Rob

  • @Hollrobb i would hope so too. but chances are the remaining ones if there are any would 1 be unhealthy 2 most likely be halfbreeds of some sort

  • I feel so sorry for this animal, not just the ones in the cage in this video but the species itself. I noticed something else that i guess is lost forever aswell, The sound this animal made, i can see it in the video making some sort of sound and i just wish i could hear it. I wonder if by chance someone recorded the sound it made?

Thanks for making this video and take care,Rob

  • I didn't see this in your vid, but I occasionally see a clip in others that shows the adult thy pelt and then the pups beside it, and I know that was probably a parent caring his/her young

How wonderful it would be if there was concrete evidence of thy's still out there, hidden from human hands. There's only this dreadful fear of them going extinct a second time

  • A Tribute, Cause The Thylacine Rocks!!!

Hold your lighters in the air, rock on in the sky Thylacines.

  • Wow, this video was cool, hadnt seen quite a good vid in ages, congrats!

  • Wow! Great video! I love your fursuit. Who made it? Did you? Its really great. I also love Serpy overall. Shes unique. Its sad what happened to Thylacines. But, i wouldn't be surprised if they weren't extinct. There were lots of animals that were said to be extinct and came out that they weren't.

  • is it me or is it really scary when he opens his mouth...cuz i get really scared every time he opens his mouth...

  • @sexi10192 That's how it yawns.

  • actually, the 'taz' character was based on the Tasmanian Devil, not the Tazmanian Tiger. the sounds that the cartoon character makes is based on the strange howling, growl, screaming sound it makes; and the movement (the spinning) that the Taz character does is based on how the taz devil moves, almost in a whirling dervish motion. really had nothing to do with the Taz Tiger. Nonetheless, nice tribute, beautiful song, as well. Love your toon, the 'furry suit'...yeah, anyway, good job. ^_^

  • @onikuma25 I know about Tazzy Devil, the famous cartoon character. I'm not exactly a fan of him lol. And I don't see how this video mentions anything about him though. Or were you just replying to someone else's comment? XD

  • @serpentine4684 oh, lol, yes it was to explodingj2ice. i can see you kind of looking and 'wtf, where did that come from?' lol, yeah, sorry. most people go completely ape-shit, instead of clarifying things. i saw the vid, and went down to comment, i read that one and blended the two and just blended my statement for your vid and the statement to the person together. my seizure meds do that if i haven't taken them on time, lol.

  • WHEN WILL WE GET IT THROUGH OUR THICK SKULLS WE CAUSED EVERY EXTICTION!!!! THE DO-DO BIRD, IT WENT EXTINCT BECAUSE OF US, THE ANIMAL IN THIS VIDEO which explains alot about "Taz" WAS BECAUSE OF US AND BLACK PEOPLE ALMOST DIDNT HAVE RIGHTS BECAUSE OF WHITE PEOPLE(no offense) SO BASICLY WE STARTED ALL THIS EXTINCTION SHIT!

  • HUMENS are stupid i wish i can travel back in time to save them

  • you havent noticed yet?

  • Aye this tiger/wolf is a beauty... how did what/who made these creatures expire for good?

  • @eXpLodingj2ice people hunted them

  • damn 1/4 million or a few thousand humans for this madness....

  • 1:28 dont look at me with those eyes!! *sniff*

  • Comment removed

  • Distressing to watch. Tasmania Aboriginals wiped out, Tasmanian Tiger wiped out, Tasmanian Wedge Tail edge highly endangered. Build a pulp mill and wipe out the rest of our native assets.

  • Its gone now, no more Thylacinus cynocephalus, Its Dead for ever extinguished. extinguished extinguished extinguished extinguished

  • Scientists say they,ve found a way to revive the Thylacine by combining its DNA with a rats. IDK though I heard about it somewhere.

  • KFC make a lot of chikens, billions of them all around the world, born, live and die brutally. And u don't think about that everytime u eat, or wash ur hair whit a tested animal product nor a swater or a medicament.

We're all a bunch of hypocrites.

  • We all talking about the stupidity of the human being, but what do we do to stop it? NOTHING.

We just blame ourselves, nothing has changed beacuse we don't want to change it, beacuse it dosn't affect us. Polution is affecting us now, that's why we care now.

  • We're gonna see many of these people, saying: "Awh, poor animal", "It's a pity, nice video".

But, we're humans, we're stupid, we don't apreciate what is around us, until it / they dissapear. Lovely huh?

  • What do you make of reports of the socalled Queensland tiger? Is it an isolated abberant race of the thylacine that somehow survived the dingo invasion,or an entirely different species alltogether? The picture looks to be a backward/negative version of the Tasmanian wolf, with the stripes upfront, instead of on the flanks. I really cant make head nor tail of the face?? Odd...

  • us humans should be ashamed. There are so many animals now that are engendered.. not many people care and they are going to end up just like this. Generations not knowing what that animal was or how it lived.

  • No, everybody cares about the "cute" endangerd animals but "ugly" endangerd animals no one cares about.... mankind really has some issues... like the panda if they were stioll endangerd people would be trying to save it, but when the pitbull dogbreed goes endangerd people are gonna say " oh pitbulls are just stupid they ripped the throat out of a little girl why should we care???" " plus I hate dogs ever since that happend"

  • @eXpLodingj2ice You do kinda have a point there. And I don't really like dogs anyway lol.

  • @eXpLodingj2ice

The pitbull is an artificialy bred animal, not a naturally evolved one.

  • @wks1978 Pitbulls are FAR from rare believe me so it's invalid anyways. Trust me I volunteer at an animal shelter, and even though they are banned we still get tons. And as you said it's not a natural animal either

  • @eXpLodingj2ice Pandas are endangered...

  • @eXpLodingj2ice Thylacines are the bestest ever animals, right?

  • Beautiful animals, it's really too bad. Lovely

  • stop searching responsabilities. mankind ended with several species, we are all guilty. we don't care about other species. when we will notice, will be to late. sry for my english

  • your an idiot... mankind is responsible for very little extinctions... nature is responsible for the VAST majority of extinctions... and dont be a self loathing human being... what a horrible way to live...

  • yeah man, you're right... go ahead thinking so... I know what we are doing to biodiversity, I know that we can't stop human stupidity, and I hope in another big extintion... actualy we ARE responsable of big mammals extintction. and what do you mean with LITTLE extinction?? do you really think that it's less important than a "big" one?? you need to study some basics of ecology...

  • it was thee Australians, that was the only country they were in along with Koals, Kangaroos and dimbats! never were they in England, but true that it were thee english who invaded australia and took over the island from the original abiriginals and dumpted all our criminals there.

  • Oh crud, I forgot about that! *headesk* thanks!

  • man kind is so evil, no wonder this world is so jacked up!!

  • Wow... such an amazing creature... especially that large gape they have...

This was your first time making a vid? You've done a wonderful job with it! You got some excellent clips and pictures of the Thylacine, and picked a wonderful piece of music to go with them! ^^

I feel bad that they're extinct... but if there really are still sightings happening to this very day, I hope the next one is by someone who's quick with a camera! ;o)

  • Thanks so much!

  • I believe it was thee Australians...No offense though, but yeah.

  • do you think the taz tiger still exist .. there might be a small possibility right ??? hope there is some chance 2 bring it back !!!!!!!!!!

  • @percy2727 sure taz is on mars with MJ and elvis. what are ya stupid? faith is good, fucking ignorance isnt. learn the difference.

  • It's so lovely - the pet and the music also! Great vid!

  • wats the name of the song? awsome vid btw!!

  • Big Love Adagio by Bond

  • yay thnx!!!!

  • i read this book and it said thier kind of like a kangaroo and a possum lolz

  • what lovely animals

  • :) thanks

  • Its really sad, the way we treat other species. I had look this up, that farmers actually faked the pictures of thylacine eating the livestock just to hunt them

  • Damn :(

  • There not dead. Look at some footage but it could be fake god i hope there alive still.

  • Hey Stripey, I sure do love your tribute to these wonderful creatures, they are truly amazing, and i believe they are still around today, I still here on the new That TAS still sees them. I just hope one day their population will increase once more.

  • Thank you! And I really do hope the come back.

  • noo... my little Thylacinus cynocephalus...

  • hehehe cute comment

  • I hope there's a few left... somewhere where no one will find them and they can live in peace.

  • thats cruel themlast of the taz tiger were put in cages let them go dum asses now there extinck they look harmless i bet a rat would do more damage them them

  • heh, ya no kidding

  • maditos cazadores es por su culpa--...

  • what?

  • Too bad this animal doesn't exist anymore due to over hunting to prevent having so many dead livestock from farmer's farm.

  • is true about having kangoroo legs... it semms like he can't run very fast, after seing this movie , I support CLONING !!

  • yeah, they dont run very fast but their endurance makes up for it, and I support that too.

  • the thylacine was the best animal in that contenent and now they're almost extinct. but there is some hope. theres plenty of evidence stating they're still alive. foot prints, sightings,e.t.c. but people just don't get it... the week the wolves were takin off the endangered list ppl started killing them again. have people not learned from their past mistakes? have people no common sence that this absolutly gorgous animal diserves to live!? sometimes i wonder how humanity will end up...

  • yep... it's sad...

  • @Brambleleaf178 i totally agree with you!

these beautiful animals have as much of a right to live as we do.

i mean the main reason for animals going endangered and extinct is because of our stupid experiments or people freaking out that they saw a really cool animal and they have to kill it to show it off...

i wish all the assholes who started to kill wildlife were taught a thing or two.

    SAVE THE WILDLIFE

    LONG LIVE THE THYLACINE

    :,( its just so sad

  • @Brambleleaf178 i know itslike what if nonanimal killers killed animal killers lets c how they like IT for a CHANGE

  • THERES NO CHANCE IN HELL THERE TOATALLY EXTINCT! god damn humans... y do we always have to kill things?!!!! it was only a few sheep and live stock out of thousands on the island!i love thylacines. i hope they're able to clone a few male and females and get the populations up again.

  • I hope they can clone...I heard that there was a law that said they cant. But I hope that changes.

  • R.I.P damn humans, this would be good with this is your life by killers

  • the king of australia...the king is sad

  • There are rumors that a Thylacene held captive in the US had escaped and some suggest that recent Chupacabra sitings are actually the Thylacene, or at least some odd half breeding of the species.

  • That is very strange.. never heard of that before. And I thought the Chupacabra was in Mexico :\

  • @YoujiNoTsuki tht wld b wierd but u could b right

  • It looks like a tiger that breeded with a wolf. Amazing! Wonderful video I liked it =]

  • along with a kangaroo... tiger wolf roo threeway! XD Im glad you liked the vid! Thank you ^^

  • Australia has the best animals. the cuter they are, generally the more deadly they are. All of our animals will kill and maim you while charming you. Top 10 poisionous snakes in the world? 8 of them are native to Aust. Koala? Will rip your arm open given half a chance

  • heheh sweet

  • it's like different from a wolf, how wierd it doesn't resemble a dog at all

  • Yeah, more like a giant meerkat

  • not the last one. There are some still in Austrailia. Every year there are hundreds of sightings.

  • I just want to see one, just once, to provethey still exist. But sadly, I live in America and don't have any money.

  • in 1936 died the last one.

  • lol vute :3.

  • They got hunted bcous of the economic crisis, they where the "black sheep". They got extincted. However there harmless, they should have been sheep killer, tho, they don't attack animals above 10 kg (sheep is triple+). Its known for its relax & easy domesticated behavior. But farmers killed them. :(

  • I bet the farmers just blamed the thylacine just so they can get the bounty for hunting them

  • how do they sounds like?

  • they make low barking sounds

  • How they're all dead!

i want it to be my guard pet to my house!

  • what did they sound like?

  • Sounds have never been recorded. Only written testamonials say that they usually remain quite but make sounds when hunting or being threatened. It sounds like a low gutteral bark.

  • cool.. strange animal though.

  • they are not extinct they founds some in australia on news reply

  • There searching for over the 30 years, last known wild-one is found over 60 years ago. They are trying to clone them, but they failed.

  • i want one

  • i live in tasmania and in broad daylight i saw a walaby running across the bush then suddenly i saw a tasmanian tiger chase after it just yesterday true story please reply and tell me what you think about this true or false

  • I am a devoted believer of the continued existence of Thylacines, so I believe you. The only reason scientists don't have solid proof that they still exist is because Thylacines want to be left alone and are smart enough to understand that if they show themselves to the world, they will be bothered all over again! I'm sure thylacines aren't too keen on giving us a second chance, so if they show themselves to someone, it is a great blessing. Lucky you! :-D

  • false, not that your a lier, just i don't think you saw what you think you saw. it's not that Thylacines where dumb it's just a fact that it was caught and over hunted so fast and it's nich replace that it never had a chance. theres really no proof Thylacines were cleaver enough to survive an extintion, even if it did inbreeding would have bottomed out the genepool. the only way to revers this is to clone it, but theres no viable DNA found yet. but if you could clone it back, should you?

  • Wow... umm... I have no idea but I'd like to believe it were true.

  • it is cute when it opens its mouth :3 lol.

  • poor thylacines... :'( *hugs*

  • Actually, this animal goes by several names, like tasmanian tiger, tasmanian wolf, zebra wolf, kangaroo wolf, hyena opposum, marsupial wolf, etc. Obviously, people had a hard time naming it, but finally settled on 'thylacine', from its scientific name which means 'pouched dog with a wolf's head'. Although this is the proper name, tasmanian tiger stuck the most. This is incorrect because Thylacines are unrelated to tigers, and instead, to Tasmanian Devils.

  • thank you :)

  • actually it is bolth stupied

  • and i know why you are saying that too! it is because you didn`t know about it, in easy ways to say it you are dumb and a pathetic girl!

  • so s.t.f.u.!

  • acctually tasmanian tiger tasmainian wolf or thylacine are correct

  • The Tasmanian tiger and the thylacine are the same animal.

  • it is very sad to see an animal extinct from the earth that we all know and live

although they are gone, if god allows

their names will never be forgoten

we shall never forget the name...

    thycaline

    words of wisdom

  • ...is so sad to know that a so beautiful animal is gone

  • people are stupid to get rid of them

  • Excellent tribute to my favorite animal. Absolutely loved it.

Also, awesome character and suit too! Though my alias on most of the sites I visit has fox in it's name my fursona happens to be a thylacine.

  • Sorry for the super late reply but thankyou so much! *hugs*

  • Great vid! 10/10 =)

  • Thanks so much!

  • no, marsupials split onto there own branch off the mamilian tree, as strange as it may seem, we are more closly related to wolves and rats then they are.

  • its a family of rat?? marsupial wolf??

  • thats so sad, if we only knew then what we know now. Maybe one day we can clone them back and fix our fuck-up, but then you have to ask the question "should we clone them or just deal with what we did"?

  • A fantastic Thylacine Tribute! What is the name of this beautiful instrumental that plays in the video?

  • Thank you much! My favorite insturmental song entitled, 'Big Love Adagio'. Performed by Bond. As said in the ending credits and on the video description. Thanks again.

  • You are very welcome! And thank you for telling me the name of the song, and also for loving Thylacines and paying tribute to them! I really appreciate that. :-)

  • Brilliant! Bravo!! Excellent documentary of a truly tragic story-using ALL available video footage. Someone preserved a Tasmanian pup fetus-and just maybe extinction might not be forever...

  • who would want to kill it

  • i've heard of those never seen one r they still alive

  • Whoa, i've never even heard of these! they are very cute though i see no reseblance to a wolf in them. nice vid!

  • Yeah, they don't look like wolves to me they look like some sort of carnivorous Meer Cat. XD lol

  • lol omg yea they do!

  • they are named tasmanian wolfs for their canid appearence and tasmanian tiger for their stripes on their back.

  • cute <:3

  • now i know the rest of the story...i truly hope we haven't wiped these guys out. we have done more than enough damage already.

  • Great video.

a lot info about this nice creature.

and the artwork looks great 2 ^^

  • WOW what a amazing animal its front looks like a wolf and the other half has the markings of a tiger I can see how it got its name lol 5 stars and to favs=D

  • Hey! Sorry for the late responce.. AOL ran YouTube veerry slow, and I was getting sick of it. Not I have cable! ^_^ AWESOME FURSONA!! Very origional!

  • I like it :) Is the music from Bond?

  • thanks for linking me to this Moth! <3

  • No worries :) I knew it was your thing :D I've never seen movie footage of them before - they're awesome looking.

  • very good vid^^

    Personally I'm a kitsune but no suit^^
