the advantage in my opinion would be very minimal depending on the experience of each pilot in his aircraft! Apache has more (aiming gun capascete grouped in the pilot that would benefit to the Apache!) do not know if the M-35 has the same TECHNOLOGICAL

@Suyamu True, but our systems are more modern, up to date, and have state-of-the-art components, they do have their kinds and they sure as hell are expensive but they would stand a better chance then a half asses piece of iron with a rotor on top and missiles slung on the side. Russia has more modern helicopters than the Mi-24. Mi-28 and Ka-52 carry all the state of the art electronics you can expect.

Still they all go down when hit by a missile - in fact Russian attack helicopter probably carry heavier armor than western ones and Ka-52 even has ejection seats unlike any western helicopter.

There was always competition, internal as well as competition on the export market.

Also: We have the best military in the world. :)

Our "cheap and inexpensive" designs are actually quite robust and do their job very well.

The "just throwing things at the enemy" is again a myth formed from hollywood and videogames.

You have to consider that hollywood was a propaganda instrument during cold war.

Military strategy and tactics were always of big importance for Russia, our military schools still teach many Officers from all around the world. Our instructors and advisors were present in many hotspots.

Mil Mi-28 has ejection free fall system.The rotorblades will not blow away but the pilots will eject to site down they have a big matress to lead the pilots far away from rotor blades. And the KA50 has ejections seats to like KA-52. russian build the heaviest armored and armed helicopters and the safest.

a very very good helicopter! Unbelievably quick and agile! but it does lack weapons and range. It is also VERY BIG which makes it easier to shoot down with an RPG when flying at low altitude. Unlike the cobra

A trully awesome helicopter that has evolved quite a lot throught blood and pain in Afghanistan..

Even it looks so heavy and cunversome it works so well that even now with the KA-50 and MI-28 allready functional russians say they still want Hinds arround
