Umm McGammer, did you check the lowercase abc at the bottom of the screen or did that not help either? Cause I think that's supposed to switch it, but I dunno if it's the emulator doin it. sorry if that dosen't help. Love this game btw I had both but lost one Y~Y

Didn't help. Pressing select also switches to lowercase, but again, lowercase = game crash, for me.

This has got to be my favorite Zelda game ever. Its what started the series for me and I still enjoy it today.
