Well, this isn't really my song, it was written by Pete Seeger, and made popular by the Byrds, but I'm really glad you are ministered to by my rendition!
I had two: one with my son on Wednesday evening (as he was spending TG day with his girlfriend's father in Texas), and one with my brother and his family in Knoxville on TG day. It was all good!
Haven't heard that song in awhile, but it's always been one of my favorites. That's a fine sounding, nice looking guitar. Hope you sell it to someone that appreciates quality. mc
Well, actually, it's a rather low end guitar, but it does look, sound and play nicely, especially after I replaced the nut and shaved the saddle a bit! Glad you enjoyed the song!
Thanks Robin. I should have been born about a decade earlier. I love folk music. I don't always agree with the politics of some of the early folk icons, but I've always loved their music.
Hi Chris. Really, it's a rather low end guitar that one of my new students traded in for a better one I had. However, after I replaced the nut and shaved the saddle a bit, it plays rather nicely. I'm offering it on Ebay with a starting bid of $49.
MAN!!!! You are one KICK BUTT SON OF A PREACHER'S SON-GUN. I once saw Seegar rock about 5 thousand folks for 'half-an-hour on that old saw!!! And you got IT ALL GOIN' ON, just kicken' back on your foldin' chair, with your raggedy old KONA A(oops, my bad- eh - is that thing, -eh can you plugger' in?) Fine, Fine style and rendition, Thanx and Peace. PS: Most of the FOLKS who made that song popular are UP IN HEAVEN singin' along!
Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but actually, I think Pete Seeger and The Byrds (unless you include Clarance White who wasn't yet a member of that group when their version of this song came out) are still alive. Glad you liked it though! No, this guitar doesn't come with electronics, but it does sound and play quite well for a low end guitar!

This is really good, I prefer your version to the original. It sounds way better with an acoustic. I just wish I could put it on my iPod.
Still 5 stars =)

Which one is original according to you?

Uhhh Not sure, to be honest. But this is my favourite version.
I wish I could play it.

Just so you know, Pete Seeger wrote Turn Turn Turn
bthies2012 3 years ago
Well, he certainly wrote the music, but he got the words mostly from the book of Ecclesiastes.
