its not the video thats the disturbing bit in my book tbh... i went last year and when the people whom had dealt with these situations took the stage... that was by far the most hard-hitting!
journey on the bus home was the most awkward moment ever aswell... especially when some people didnt have there seatbelt on....
Am a firefighter in tayside and have helped run the show in Perth and Dundee and as hard hitting as this is along with the input from the police, paramedics, doctors, parents and us unless you are involved in a real accident you will have no idea how bad it really is! I hope nobody who sees this ever has to go through some if what I have seen! Please take heed of this properly and pass the warning on to others!!!
I saw the Surrey version of this a year ago. It was done very differently - it was at night, for a start and there were four victims - two died. But it didn't show the reactions of the parents at the end - it only showed a doctor approaching one guy's parents, and then a police car pulling up outside another victim's house and a policeman approaching the front door.
This is a very effective film, it depicts the reality of car accidents and the horrors they can cause, (many accidents are caused by irresponsible driving, particuarly amongst youngers), all should watch this film.
I was at the show yesterday in Stirling and it was so hard-hitting and sad when one guys dad was on stage talking about how his son was in an accident and then his son came on stage in a wheel-chair and spoke to us through a computer!... god it was hard!
I saw somthing sumular at the dorking theatre yesturday. Was very emotional n shocking. I cried when a mother of a 14 yr old boy said how he was ran down and killed, the fact that she will have no more memories of her son. Then we saw som really bad car adverts at the end. That will stick 4 a v long time but i will take VERY gd care on the roads when i can drive.
I was at a show yesterday and nearly everybody burst out in tears when we saw and met with a person that had been in a serious road traffic accident and for us to feel like that i cant imagine how the families feel when they get told that it has happened so please do take care on the roads and get the message into your head, drive safe wear your seatbelt because nobody wants your family to be the next people to be told that you have been in a road traffic accident.
I watched a similar video about 2 years ago whilst i was in sixth form - they really make you think!! They should be shown to every driver, not just youngsters as a lot of the time middle aged people are just as bad and its not all youngsters who drive like maniacs! Really good video though.
this is a fantastic video but the real issue is that this type of driving is happening on fife roads every week and we need the young drivers of fife to address there driving and not end up like the girl in the video weldone to all actors and emergency staff who made this video
oooh scottish accents reminds me of groundskeeper willie
