Funny, my mother forced me into fashion shows, auditions, wearing pink dresses, fake nails (that I never wore anyway), art contest, etc. I'm pretty much a skeleton who tries to cover up as much body as possible (scars on my torso from a food-borne disease that I caught when my mother ate off of my food), and she's a fatty who acts like a slut and dyes her hair etc.. I hate America, when I turn 21, I'm moving to Canada.

I think it just sucks that these girls are going to grow up thinking that they have to wear makeup to feel beautiful. I'm 16 and I still don't wear makeup and I look just fine without it.

And I loved beauty pageants since I was four, but my mom wouldn't let them do them till I was older(14), so no one forced me to like pageants, I liked them on my own(as I'm a girly girl, and love to dress up and play in my moms make-up). i think it is ok when the kid likes what they do and get a choice and also if they just go in with an open mind but if they are being forced by there parents and only care about winning thats when its a problem.

i agree some pageant moms do i am a pageant mom but the farthest we have gone was 6 hours away there are not many pageants that are nearby us and not all pageants are what they look like on television. Most pageants are in small towns unless you have thousands of dollars to throw down for really expensive pageants i want my daughter to learn and grow from her experiences i dont make her do pageants she enjoys do them.

Women started wearing makeup and enhancing their looks way back in Ancient Egypt to attract grown men. But kids? NO!!! That law varies from state to state, 3 strikes does not mean you will get a life sentence.(learn more about it 1st before you talk). I don't consider is slavery, they get room, food, classes, electricity(not to say jail is fun or anything but it cost alot to keep people in jail), and they get paid to do that work(not alot but guess what some waitress only make like 3.25 a hour).

Minunum wage is 7.25 cents(I believe it might have went up a few cents), However some restraunts say tips should cover the rest, so you only make 3.25, usually only local(very local) restraunts do that.

Pedios DO NOT go to pageants they will look out of place A. most people know each other in glitz pageant, a stranger would stick out. B. It wouldn't be anyfun I mean there is too many people to get pleasure from it. C. pedios like children, for instance I look 12(I'm 18 almost 19 well in 6 months) a pedio might like me because I'm little, and innocent looking(i don't wear make-up except for pageants) but he wouldn't like a 12 year old who looks 18, its not pleasurable for

Obviously it is a "staged" area put up by the film crew to accentuate her pageant wear and the items involved in a glitz competition. toddlers and tiaras is in the business of making shows on children's pageantry.

i agree some pageant moms do i am a pageant mom but the farthest we have gone was 6 hours away there are not many pageants that are nearby us and not all pageants are what they look like on television. Most pageants are in small towns unless you have thousands of dollars to throw down for really expensive pageants i want my daughter to learn and grow from her experiences i dont make her do pageants she enjoys do them.

Oh I know, I watched the first show from the new season and the little girl even said no I don't want to do this. Finally it sank into the mother's head.
When my daughter says she is done, than she is done. Or if she starts acting like a brat she is done. Though she is only 11 months old now so it might be awhile lol. I like them because it gives her time to play with other children. It also gives her a chance to get some college money.

i was in pageants from ages 3-5, and i loved it. Then i found acting. looking back on it im sooooooooo glad i quit doing those pageants. all these girls will hopefully one day find something they like better than stupid pageants.
