I beg to differ. Mustaine had the least impact. He co-wrote 6 songs, and got credit for all of them. He never performed on an album. So 9 Studio albums(including Death Magnetic) without Mustaine means he had a massive influence? Don't think so. And technically superior musically? Kirk Hammet, James Hetfield, and Lars Ulrich are the greatest thrash metal composers of all time, no one argues. Dave Ellefson said so himself,
