@DauphinIslandBR - If you're going to slam people—"stick to comics and playing Grand Theft Auto until you grow up"—you should at least use proper grammar. Hemingway—as in "If you don't Hemingway"—is not a verb.
Him stating the places he's lived, may be due to some agreed upon event whereby he and some entity or party figured to record his them in chronology for posterity's sake.
@theotherbeave Yes, but I wonder what context this was in. Why was he making the recording? Maybe he was simply speaking, or asked to speak, about specific things and perhaps in response to specific questions? I'm not sure.
@LiveOakOkie I don't know. But I have a copy of "The Fifth Column and the First Forty-Nine Stories" and it has most of what Hemingway says here in this recording in the front of the book, as an introduction.
@theotherbeave - That minute is verbatim from the introduction. What's your problem with it? If you don't Hemingway, stick to comics and playing Grand Theft Auto until you grow up.
@DauphinIslandBR i don't know how i seemed to convey that I had a problem with it. This is awesome. I'm so glad I got to hear hemingway's voice. And, as everyone knows, Hemingway was famous for all the places he lived around the world, and in this recording here, you can hear him in his own voice talk about some of those places. As i said before, that is ridiculous!!! It gave me shivers.
This is NOT Hemingway! Leave it at that....

The final minute is ridiculous! To hear Hemingway himself listing both his writing and all the great places he lived is too much.
