yes, it really is. 60KM from town. Airlines were forced to fly there and Lufthansa pulled out of Cameroon as a result. Instead of them updating a perfectly beautiful mid city airport capable of handling 737's and 757's, they turned it into a military airport. Then the domestic carriers could fill small planes acting as feeder carries to Douala departures, oh well, there is just too much to say and not enough time

Yaounde Nsimalen Airport is just 20 kms far from the city, handling B777 and A340-300's. Military airport is 10 kms next to Nsimalen.
