Kaiser "explained" that the solider was having a nervous breakdown because of the recession, so he waterboarded his daughter. I don't think that's a good reason for waterboading his daughter. You have to blame the parent not the government. He even talked about everyone waterboarding their children, that's just ridiculous.

Any human action is the result of a number of factors. Stress amplifies weaknesses in human character. Obviously if this father were not predisposed to this type of action, he would not have done it. Actions are always the result of an equation of the individual character and the circumstances.

The prisons in the United States are run by private corporations that have deals with the Courts that put them there. The prisoners are also "owned" by the Corporation that runs the prison and the prisoners are tricked into assuming a fiduciary duty as a "Trustee" in the prison. So if they fail to perform for the corporation, they are held accountable and can keep them in the prison longer.

It's very sneaky.
