  • squaresoft: FF1, FF2, FF3, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9, FF10 -> awesome!?

    square enix: FF10-2, FF11, FF12, FF13, FF13-2, FF14 -> crap...just crap

  • cid reminds me of an american dude

  • "Even the moon'd tire of waiting around for your ass!" -- Cid to Shera.

  • Many tears...MAN TEARS

  • I I heard and saw all these videos final fantasy vii but when I got this I could not resist and cried... =(

  • Always remember to DRINK YOUR GODDAM TEA!

  • Square Enix, the ruiner of Final Fantasy.

  • Oh man, the moon...outer space...

    my dreams...

  • One of my favorite moments in the game. As this song played I thought to myself, "You finally did it Cid."

  • Best. Cid. Ever.

  • Today, we have great companies like Blizzard, Nintendo, Konami, Valve, Bioware, Bethesda, Rockstar and Irrational. But for me, there will forever be only one:

    Squaresoft.

  • arrr hear ya scumby dawgs. ya cant compare single ff's to find da one that be da best. ya have to cee every one as a artwork for itself

  • this sounds like Cid's theme only slower

  • Song seems meh...

    0:21 OH FUCKING GOD THE MEMORIEEEEEEEEEEEEEESS.... ;_;

  • Great game. too bad every FF game since, exept FF 9 sucked ass.

  • @MegaDuffmann :O YOU CRAZY!!! although 7 and 9 were the best, 8 was fuckin' decent, X WAS AMAZING (despite the REALLY gay voice acting), granted X-2 was a pile of shite, XI was a waste of time, XII and XIII took way too long to get into, but when ya did get into them, they were AMAZING :O... though yeah, XIV was also shite. And all the games before 7, though I love the gameplay, they just lack the powerful emotive storylines that all the other games past 6 had

  • @iamwarwick FF x amazing... Really OMG. it ranks with ff 8 as being probably one the worst games in history, linear as hell, god awfull and stupid characters, crappy storytelling, blitzball, Wakka and fucking Tidus. like 10-12 different enemies except bosses. sphere grid. great music thought.... Never completed XII i played like 10 hours, then i got bored of all the stupid sidequest and terrible combat system.

  • @MegaDuffmann trying to play ff9 was like playing with a kids toy. the characters were so gay.

  • @illidur I hated FF9 - awful game. But let's not use gay as an insult.

  • @Music1222 Gtfo. FF9 is one of the best FF games ever.

  • @MegaDuffmann I have to agree 8 and x were pretty terrible... I'm not a fan of XII or XIII either, XII was just piss pathetic and the characters did my head in, except Balthier, he was bad ass. And I just feel that XIII was based around graphics and not any meaningful message which ruined it for me :/

  • @SDPaldora1

    No way !

    Cloud, Youffie Cid !

  • SHUT UP!

GET YOUR ASSES ON THE FUCKING CHAIR AND DRINK YOUR GOD DAMN TEAAAAAAA!!!

  • dreams never dies

  • It feels like you are falling...falling to empty.. and just keep falling..

  • #&@*#&

  • Stunning

  • ahhh... the legendary 240p, we meet again...

  • *salute*

  • wanna cry :'(

  • Damn...Give up your dreams to save someone's life...worked your whole life for it and with one button it's all over

  • Cid was my strongest character, he was the only character I could get to do 9999 with each hit ^^

  • no offense to fan boys but ff8 is better.

  • @MessatsuHadoken

    Perhaps...

Meh, the FF7 Cid badmouths the principal to oblivion.

  • @MessatsuHadoken in what way ?

  • I don't know if anyone has already said this, but this scene reminded me of Carl Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot" speech. Go check it out, it's awesome.

  • This music makes me remember... between the feelings Shera had for Cid, Cid's ruined dreams and his treatment of Shera, his speech about the planet... everything just all combined into one. I remember thinking about it when I was young, and I just started crying. I couldn't stop. I felt so badly for them. For all of them.

I guess I still do. Not just for the characters, but for people too. It's just hard when you feel isolated and you're scared to take action. But I haven't forgotten.

  • Cid was a true hero.

  • Cid's a badass.

  • just thinking about the scene brings a tear to my eye

  • And also, this song makes me want to build an airship and take it out to the skies...

  • Cid Highwind... oh god, I'd love to meet him in real life. Just who he is as a person is amazing. Past the foul mouth and hard outer shell, he's insightful and he has his own ideas about the universe and the people around him XD he's badass.

  • @roxyfirebender So true - and he doesn't give a damn about what people think about him/ his ideas!

  • @roxyfirebender Very true assumption. Cid was very resentful of anyone around him after the failed launch of the rocket, but his underlying dedication to reach for the stars was still there. One of the best characters in Final Fantasy VII, period.

  • Ahh, the top comments of all these music videos really do make me cry =( Nostalgia is a harsh mistress.

  • @DarkSkill56 harsh, but beautiful

  • I love this music so much :) It definetly helped make the game.

  • I love this soundtrack so much. Nobuo Uematsu is the reason I started writing music, I heard his music 14 years ago and haven't stopped writing since.

  • @RichardBatchelor86 Good on you man, this is the 10th vid I've seen this comment tho! lol I don't mind, commitment baby!

  • @wwaarrddy

haha, so I wasn't the only one who noticed.

  • "Everything was goin' well... But, because of that dumb-ass Shera, the launch got messed up. That's why they became so anal! And so, Shinra nixed their outer space exploration plans. After they told me how the future was Space Exploration and got my damn hopes up... DAMN THEM! Then, it was all over once they found out Mako energy was profitable. They didn't even so much as look at space exploration. Money, moola, dinero! My dream was just a financial number for them!"

  • taste the mighty fire works of CID!!!!

  • I remember when i got to this part in the story i kept turning off the Ps1 Just so i could listen to the music again.

  • Great music! The highlight of the game in my opinion.

I'm surprised that even for a moment Cid could not decide what to do. I mean, did it cross from his mind to burn his wife alive? Sick bastard! :-)

  • Cid Highwind.

Coolest bitter old man astronaut ever.

  • @ShadyKitsune he is also the coolest foul mouth wife abuser ever lolz

  • @keimeira Cid and Shera weren't married, and it was never implied he hit her. =/

  • @ShadyKitsune i know that, i was just talking about the way he verbally abused her

  • Cid, always and forever shall be bro-tier.

All we get now are orphans and sky pirates. T_T

  • used to leave the conversation window open in cids bit , just to go to sleep with this song going. its probably my fav ff7 track.

  • I did everything was possible in this game, finished 7 times!!! all weapons defeated, all materia collected, all chocobos and everything else you could do and I still love it and would like to play it again!!!

  • @sarduspater01 lol i played threw 4 copies of the game over the years and currently play it for PC

  • @Roguestandards i understand what you feel :P

  • 8 people have had their dreams of going into outer space crushed.

  • @thatguy1017 By Meteor?

  • @thatguy1017 lol... :(

  • The theme of flyboys everywhere.

  • this song is so simple yet so goddamn emotional ... great scene :)

  • shinra corp shinra ff7 nothing even comes close to this game

  • One of the best songs on FF7 <3

  • 8 leute wollen nicht das universum sehen ......

  • We all have dreams we want to send soaring. :(

  • Cid curses worse than 3 drunken sailors with one prostitute :D

  • Doesn't beat A Great Warrior.

.. But goddamnit if this isn't great too!

  • thank you

  • Who would rather have gone ahead with the launch and let Shera burn? I don't think I could have. She is just too nice. If I had to choose between going into space or having cups of tea (with lots of sugar and honey... oh and don't forget the lard!) made for me for the rest of my days......

  • @sleeming88 Ah but Cid got his trip to space. And Shera was with him no less.

Thanks for posting. I love the music from this game so much. This was the first game I had for the PS1 so many years ago. I played this game maybe a dozen times and will never forget it I enjoyed it thoroughly and still enjoy the music often.

Even with the PS1's limited sound capabilities the music is still so unforgettable it's amazing how well it turns out when redone now.

  • @sleeming88 Ahh I remember that! Very sad. Didn't Cid's dream of going into space get crushed, because that girl was still in the room that would get heated and burn her if he went?

  • i love the name of the theme ("Sending a dream into the universe.")

    sounds very profound.

  • i love it now i start a another run^^

  • the intro sounds like from Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer

  • lindo

  • SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!

  • Cid (in my opinion) was the best character in Final Fantasy 7. I was a big fan of Red XIII, but Cid was fantastic. From funny to inspiring, there's a character - well written. This track suits him and his story perfectly.

  • "I always thought this planet was so huge. But lookin' at it from space, I realized it's so small. We're just floatin' in the dark... Kinda makes you feel powerless. On top of that it's got Sephiroth festerin' inside it like a sickness. That's why I say this planet's still a kid. A little kid sick and trembling in the middle of this huge universe. Someone's gotta protect it. Ya follow me? That someone is us."

:'( I cried, and this one of the reasons to say that Cid's best Cid in all FF games.

  • @ShiroxCloud ty for this comment it is awesome i totally agree....

  • @ShiroxCloud

I read that perfectly with the song.

  • @xJT94x

..??? Oh wait, I know what you mean now.. like a teleprompter and background music...

  • @ShiroxCloud it's 3 am here and I am crying like a litte kid :'(

  • @ShiroxCloud

Yeah dude. I don't like comparing FF's cause' they're all great. But this is the only game that made me emotional more than once. Every character has their own story, their own role. They need to continue to make ff 7 spinoffs. I can't get enough of ff7 lately. Lol.

  • @DGrant1010

Hell yeah ! I watched again (it's been a while ! ) AC with a friend the other time , and that made me want to play FF7 again , but FUCK , I don't have nor the Playstation 1 nor the game anymore ! T-T

  • @Senbouchan Get a ps3 :)

  • @Senbouchan Dude you can download it to your PC, it's abit tricky but u will find the instructions or just PM me and Ill tell you how.. I just finished FF7 again damn it felt good.. Last time I played it was like 9 years ago :,)

  • @DGrant1010 Yeah, I know, each FF is unique, and that's what I love the series so much (though I have some preferences-- FFVI XD)

  • @ShiroxCloud VI was fantastic, too.

I loved 8,9 and 10 as well. Haha.

  • @DGrant1010 Yeah, me too. :D But to get moved by the graphics of a SNES games, it's amazing xD

  • @ShiroxCloud Yesir.

4 too. Bah, they're all amazing. LOL.

  • @DGrant1010 Totally.

  • "That's beautiful Cid. So, how are we going to do it?"

"I uh...haven't thought of that yet...."

    *everyone groans*

  • @GigaBahamut i remember this XDD

  • @ShiroxCloud it was only when i looked back i realised that cids speech is a tribute to carl sagans pale blue dot.

needless to say that makes it twice as awesome

  • Comment removed

  • @GeneralMontague Good call, I have the book and didn't make the connection. Gotta read it again. That book and Billions and Billions are required reading for the human race.

  • @GeneralMontague You are awesome for making the connection between Sagan and FF7. Long live you. lol

  • @ShiroxCloud doesnt every final fantasy have a cid? anyhow i do agree with you, he is! (;

  • @ShiroxCloud This game was moving in so many different ways. That was one of them.

  • @Derpinguin44 You're right :)

  • @ShiroxCloud *sniff* i loove your comment ;) n i agree completely :D

  • @ShiroxCloud I read that quote for the first time when I was 8 years old. That single comment had one of the most profound impacts on my life

  • @MrEpicTruth

I read it when i was about ten. I nearly cried.

  • @ShiroxCloud You made me cry! thanks a lot :) that comment reminds us that we have to save that little kid called "Earth" :)

  • @ShiroxCloud nicely said. FFVII has the real Cid

  • whenever i played this game (before noob tube) i used to leave it on the talking bit at the rocket, just to listen to this song

  • Cid should be in space right now... GODDAMNIT SHERA!!! DUMB BITCH!

  • @golpop Do not dare to say that about Shera. She saved Cid's life and that's what matters the most :)

  • @ShiroxCloud no she didnt you dumbass, she could have committed suicide for his mission, but noooo, she had to be a dumb bitch a keep unnescecarily checking an oxygen tank, fuck that bitch seriously

  • @golpop You seriously are sadistic, and you certainly din't pay attention to this part of the game. And Cid is grateful enough to Shera to name his new airship with her name. You are the dumbass here, not me. ;)

  • @golpop

It wasn't unnecessarily. It really was defective. She didn't finish checking it, so no one ever knew until they launched the rocket into Meteor.

  • Ok, that's it, I can't take it anymore. I have to play FFVII again.

I should avoid these Youtube videos... see you in a few days.

  • It was so sad kinphihihihihi ahhha why ... why did cid do that NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • have ever think about play this song while been in a rocket for somewhere into our space? would be sooooooooo EPIC

  • @Finaltt

Yeah, it should be played when the final shuttle is launched, with Cid's Theme prior to the launch.

  • it needs the radio in the background

  • Man... Hearing this song just makes me think of how horrible today's games are... It's all about graphics and other bullshit.

All the defining characteristics that made these games great have been thrown out the window.

Soundtrack, Story, Overall effect, (not to mention the hidden bonuses to work for)

I mean look at it closely, FF7 had almost bad graphics, good for it's time, but it's truly known for it's awesome soundtrack and story. You just FEEL things when you play this game.

  • @Codyray1992 yeah, but FF7 has superior graphs compared to FF6

  • @thewolfthi Well, that's almost a given there... As we go up in the Final Fantasy's of course the graphics will get better, but they're not what make the game, despite what some people think.

  • @Codyray1992 you are goddamn right

  • @billiditohan Glad to see someone agrees with me, if only they could get it through their heads and make a game as good as this again....

I would kill (and I'm not sure if I mean that literally or not anymore, not even joking) for a game as good as this one is.

  • cid's dream to go to space has come true

  • i dont wanna send my Dream into space, i wanna keep it so i can remember who i am and y i chose my path.

  • Fly our dreams into outer space!!

  • Squaresoft... Come back to us... *Sends his dream into the universe*

  • SH------------IT

  • @CriplessVoyage Man, when he said that, I felt his pain...

  • "I am going to the moon, no matter what! AND WHERE IS MY GODDAMN TEA?!"

  • im goin to tha moon bitch!!!

  • -DAMN THAT SHERA!

    -#@!$!!!!

    -SHERA, GET OFF THE ROCKET!!!!

I actually got goosebumps at that part.

  • Cid: "So oxygen tank number 8 really was malfunctioning..."

    "!@#$%"

shera was right in the end lulz

  • Wonder if this made other players want to send their own dreams soaring like it did to me?

  • You like this video. Thanks for the feedback! See more videos you liked.

  • Epic

  • The song title is reminiscent of romanticism. Music isn't completely dead thanks to people like Uematsu.

  • when was this played?

    which event took place?

    i forgot... it's been a long time.

  • @EigenX7 space, when cid talks to cloud

  • @EigenX7

Cid had another chance to launch his rocket ship since Shera had screwed up the previous mission. This music plays when you launch the rocket into space, and get Bahamut Zero

  • Fuck the haters, FFVII has some of the most emotional songs in a Final Fantasy game. This, The Great Warrior, Aerith's Theme, On the Other Side of the Mountain, Anxious Heart, and the FVII Main Theme all stir up different emotions.

  • @Fattypatties i agree!

  • @ChildrenCardGames cant help but argue against virtually all of what you said to be honest. FF7 was a masterpiece because it left room for expansion even after game completion. I bet you never even played crisis core, it made 7 much clearer in my opinion and was a great game, best game for the PSP ive played.

the ony thing i do agree with is the homo guys wanting to bring back sephiroth. i didnt understand the choice of three fags dressed in leather wanting to revive someone they never met..

  • Awesome song! Like alot of other FF songs its a realy heavy and emotional theme. Gogo Nobuo Uematsu!

  • I still miss my times as a kid playing FF7. :)

  • This song really makes you feel like a part of something bigger and far-most important that any person can imagine. I like it.

  • This song sounds so sad... but it's the theme of a dreamer... Cid is not forgettable.

Even if I did never use him to fight, he is precious like the whole Final Fantasy VII game...

FF7 was the best time of my life!!! (well, I am 13... and I played it two years ago... xD')

  • @Yunasan13 great to see younger people that appreciate masterpieces such as this! :D

  • @kellyraye815 awww I love the 1997-2003 Final Fantasy's. x3 I finally could buy FF9 online and now I can play this beautiful piece as well. ♥

  • @Yunasan13

I played the game when i was about 8 and 9, and know amb 21 and are not a game best than FFVII.

  • @Yunasan13 tell all of ur younger friends ur age about ff7 also...its good to see this masterpiece being passed down to the next generation....

  • It's amazing, one song can bring back the memories of the entire story behind this game, reminds me of when I was 13 and playing this, very good times.

  • This tune embodies heroic death

  • Phenomenal, amazing melodies, Nobuo Uematsu is simply a dude! I can not even express in words what I feel when listening to his songs ...

  • @29Lukke Sorry, I lol'd at "is simply a dude!" XD

Yea, Nobuo Uematsu is a freaking genius.

  • great to play on the guitar and not too hard

  • <
