  • His comment at the end, "...I like to be around people who are passionate about art" really nails what is missing in my life. I had this image in my head that my post-college life would involve, in part, some social group of various artists, sitting about a coffee house or Parisian cafe, discussing art, arguing, encouraging, challenging, etc. To this day, I have yet to find this. Professional societies rarely address the art of being an artist, but focus on the business aspects. Still looking.

  • I had signed up for his class at Art Center Pasadena, back in '79. Unfortunately, he left the school before the class began, and it was taken over by Dan McCaw. Dan was an excellent instructor, but I would still love to study with Barron Storey. Someday, perhaps...

  • I'm still unfolding truths that Barron taught me years ago at CCA. His lessons on Art and life have fueled me for a lifetime. Mahalo nui loa Barron.
