The topic of racism was redefined so tht we include discrimination based on colour, ethnicity and national as well. India is a country with many races (aryan, dravidian and even oriental etc). India and pakistan were not the same 'race' but the same country before partition. In the context of just race alone in india, it is racist as a lot of indians prefer light skin. The topic of racism was redefined so tht we include discrimination based on colour, ethnicity and national as well. India is a country with many races (aryan, dravidian and even oriental etc). India and pakistan were not the same 'race' but the same country before partition. In the context of just race alone in india, it is racist as a lot of indians prefer light skin. But there are so many skin colours in india. Therefore racism was redefined to include national, ethinicity etc.

It's a common practice in places like that, where oppression is still very common. Remnants of the English, no doubt, but still disgusting nonetheless. Discrimination is banned in the eyes of the law and not in the eyes of religion . Govt creates quota for these castes so that they r uplifted in society . @MrZak2244 That is very wrong. Any discrimination is not allowed in the law. The Indian constitution states very clearly says that you cannot discriminate on the basis of caste, religion, race, gender or age.
India has a majority of Hindus and yet, the last term they had a Muslim president and a Sikh prime minister. This term, the president is a woman, prime minster a sikh, and vice president a muslim.
Indians are probably the most tolerant people in the world.
