  • where is peterman at now? can someone let me know.

  • @da13thsun bears practice squad i believe

  • whats the name of the song at the beginning??

  • i hate when people compare him to wes welker. he is more of ken margerum

  • I hope that Martz gives this kid a chance.

  • Shades of sweetness at 1:40 ...

  • whats the name of the first song?? : )

  • Cleveland Browns Jamal Lewis son a Transfer from MICHIGAN STATE has the FASTEST 40 yard time this YEAR. Search DEWAYNE LEWIS the kid is sweet...

  • Yep, of all those famous people there's always somebody better than you. I'd even say there's somebody hidden in the corner of the world thats faster than Usain Bolt.

  • He was an excellent qb at Sacred Heart Griffin in Highschool, He used to torch defenses with the poll cat offense. But, When they played Jacksonville highschool in the state quarter finals in 2005, Brian Anderson, who was the QB at Princeton, upset the shit out of them,,,I was there and it was epic.

  • cant believe this guy didnt get drafted. seriously, give this guy a chance

  • I guess EP is such a "scrub" that he can't have more than one fan (sarcasm). Doesn't matter what he did in college, his sick highlights or how he tests out in drills athletically. This is the same thing that happened to Welker. Wes got one scholarship to T Tech at the last second (that's it) despite being "the best H.S player I ever saw" according to Mike Leach. Despite breaking records at Tech. Welker went undrafted & was cut by SD and then Saban wanted to cut him in MIami to keep Marcus Vick.

  • have you attended training camp? if so have you watched him during his reps?

Im saying he has the opportunity to compete for the 3rd or 4th receiver spot. Who on the team is proven to be good? Hester? he would be a number 3 guy on most other teams.

  • Let me put it to you this way, just because you haven't heard anything about him doesnt mean anything. I live in New Orleans. They have this guy Matt Simon out of Northen Illinois. nobody has reported anything on him, I have never heard of him before the Saints signed him. Hes having a great training camp, quietly. Nobody is paying attention to him, at least not the media. Does that mean the coaches haven't noticed him? problem with him is the Saints have alot of guys who have potential at WR.

  • and other people that have attended the Saints training camp have said the same thing about him, that he is a great receiver and is quietly having a great camp. Since we have Colston, Lance Moore who really broke out last year, Meachem who was a former 1st round pick who will get one more year to prove himself, Devery Henderson, a deep threat to stretch the field and Roby who will be a return man and few other guys who have been in the system for a few years, so he will probably go to the p.s.

  • which wouldnt be a bad thing, because Lance Moore spent a few years on the practice squad before having a breakout season with the Saints last year. But as for the Bears, I haven't heard many positive things about any of the receivers. Most of the stories I hear are that "Jay Cutler doesn't have any receiving threats" so their should be a few receiver spots on the active roster that should be up for open competition, but who knows, Lovie Smith was never good at finding WR talent.

  • or be a 6th receiver, which Payton usually keeps a 6th receiver on the roster

  • LOL dwid1984 biased much? I dont care how lackluster our receiving corp is this guy is absolutely NOT going to be a 3rd or 4th reciever on this team or even close. So far I've heard nothing about this kid in TC and yes he will be absolutely lucky to land on our PS.

  • Hope he gets some playing time in preseason. He's a tough SOB. I watched highlights of Iglesias we got in the 3rd and hes a bitch. Goes down before contact and tries to elude it. This Peterman guy goes right into the hit! I love it!! Hope he gets some time and maybe practice squad

  • practice squad? he should be able to make the roster. Its not like the Bears are stacked at WR. He should at least get the chance to be the 3rd or 4th receiver. The above poster said Brandon Stokley, close, Peterman is faster and taller than Stokley (6'1 4.4 forty) but also has the agility and quickness of a smaller receiver. I know they have more wide recievers this year but only 2 have ever caught a pass in the nfl, so there is no reason for Peterman not to be competing for a roster spot

  • brandon stokley

  • this dude is amazing glad the bears got him welcome to chicago dude GO BEARS

  • Welker is the best WR on short routes in the entire league though- Peterman has his work cut out to be as good in the slot as Welker. Welker led the league in percentage of yards being after the catch in 2007.

Peterman is more versatile than Welker and could play Split-end or Flanker as well though. BTW Welker would make a good RB- he was a star at RB in H.S- he's kind of like Brian Westbrook playing WR.

  • Well here's a good comparison. Peterman is a poor mans Percy Harvin. With a better QB throwing to him- he'd be very Harvin like. He is amazing after the catch at turning short throws into long gains. He's like a RB playing WR, he is close to Welker for elusiveness as well, but has more long speed.

BTW, Eric Decker reminds me of Michael Crabtree quite a bit- similar styles, size and speed measurements.

  • I like how he fights for every extra yard after contact

  • great hands in traffic and good speed.. cant wait to see where the bears use him

  • Real good productive player. I enjoyed watching him play in the few times NW was on T.V in the west coast. Reminds me of Wayne Cherbet who used to play for the Jets, just Peterman is more athletic.

  • amazing how every white receiver always gets compared to another white receiver. whats wrong with saying he reminds you of chris chambers or andre johnson? Why? I dont get it.

  • Hmmm maybe I don't think that way because he's doesn't have their ability just yet and he resembles Cherbet quite a bit? It's called an opinion kid, everyone has one so get a grip. I can name other guys that are black that I can compare him to does that make a difference? For you I guess so for anyone else....I doubt it.

  • Funny how every white players "ability" is only similar to that of another white player. im sure its a coincidence.

  • I'm sure your just not that bright. To argue about comparing a white wr to another white wr is stupid and obviously you have too much time on your hands to complain about this.....i've also seen you on other videos and believe me kid your act is getting old.

  • You know, youre right. Wes Welker sorta reminds me of Matt Jones. Also Drew Bennett reminds me of wes welker. Sure, they play different receiver positions, have different speed, height, moves, skills, but they still remind me of each other.

Oh yeah, and youre right, im not bright, all us economics majors are real idiots.

    Thanks, "Kid".

  • Hmmm liar....I highly doubt you even in college or even an economics major to boot. You make no sense in your arguments and looking at your profile all you do is talk shit to others. Come on kid get a life.....no one wants to listen to your pointless banter. I'm done with you...

    Peace you peasant

  • cuz there are nothing but haters out there...

  • lol at first i thought he played for michigan and you show him muffing punts. then i figued he played for NW.

  • nice video, he looks good but I think he lets the ball get into his body too much. But he will be playing football next year

  • true, a lot of receivers have bad catching fundamentals even in the NFL.

  • the bears signed him in the free agent

  • he plays like a mixture of chad johnson and wes welker

  • what about the first song? haha

  • maybe i shouldnt tell you so you will come back to video to watch it to hear it and ill get more views haha jk. The first song is by The Draft, Impossible i think is the name of the song, they only have one album and one ep so it shouldnt be hard to find. The Draft is a side project band of Hot Water Music which is also a good band you should check out. Can you do me a favor and share this video to people you know? The second song is by Mew - Special

  • thanks man

  • i hope he makes the team and plays WHAT IS THE 3RD SONG ON THIS VIDEO?

  • The 3rd song? the instrumental one? its a song by Cage on the Hells Winter cd. Its a two disc cd, first cd is songs and second is the instrumentals, i forget what song that one is but its off of the hells winter cd which has a version of it with lyrics and a version of it without. The whole album is good so might as well get the whole thing.

  • welcome to the chicago Bears, Good luck.

  • The GM even questioned Lovie Smith in a newspaper article for why he refused to play Mike Hass even once in the regualr season despite being a stud in the pre-season once the Bears got mathematically eliminated from the playoffs two years ago. But if Peterman gets screwed, I sense serious injustice here. The Bears don't have a good receiving corps anyway and Peterman has a high ceiling. BTW Wes Welker was unjustly cut from the Chargers despite brilliant play and almost the Dolphins.

  • Peterman is definitely the best WR to go undrafted hands down! He led the draftdaddy poll for biggest WR combine snub. Jacob Walters, How can you not see that this guy deserves a roster spot. I had him ranked as my 12th best WR in the draft and as a mid 3rd round pick. He would have been more productive with a QB who threw down field accurately. Peterman runs a 4.45-40 an insane 4.08 short shuttle and an eye popping 6.58 3-cone. You can see from this vid Peterman's agility is Percy Harvin like!

  • He almost looks like a running back. . .nice cuts, good burst.

  • he'll find a place. he falls forward every time he's tackle, and he lowers his head and initiates contact when he knows he's gonna get tackled. welcome to Da Bears

  • he reminds me of wes welker...

  • I think they Bears might give him a fair shot because he could help them in the wildcat since he played QB in high school and was very good and he took SHG to the Illinois State championship game at QB.

  • If Mike Haas can't make the Bears roster, then I have a hard time believing Peterman can. With the two WRs that they drafted, there's little room for him. If he can show something on special teams however, he may make the 53-man roster. Either way, look for him and Basanez to hook up in the exhibition games.

  • Look for Brett Basanez to pass a lot of balls his way during Preseason!

  • Bears Baby!

  • he looks good

  • now he's a chicago bear =D

  • hopefully Lovie Smith gives him a fair shot...He's too athletic and talented to sit on the bench, he has too much potential to sit on practice squad

  • Draftdaddy poll Combine WR snubs. You gotta vote for this guy. He totally deserved to be at the Combine!

  • Realistically if things were fair for him, Swift would make a team's roster as a 4th WR and I think he would eventually play himself into being a 2nd or 3rd WR for some team; he's got great heart. Swift has the stats, certainly knows how to get open and is a great possession guy.

But I think after watching your highlights that Peterman, Brodell, Lyons, Collie and probably Dillard have more natural talent. The later guys are all overall very athletic prospects.

  • Dicky Lyons is indeed very talented. I've seen him play and he would make a great slot-man or #2 WR for some team. He's got NFL level speed, and is very shifty with great hands. He is kind of similar to Hartline, but I think Hartline is versatile enough to play X-Z WR spots. But this Peterman guy is just unbelievable!

I see you also have a Jarrett Dillard video up. He is underrated too b/c he is from Rice University which gets little media hype.

  • Well, you're right; at least for any SOLID FBS team a 4.9 40 normally isn't fast enough for a WR. I have posted some 40 times though of slow guys of notoriety and I am met with shocks.

    B. McAnderson of Kansas 4.9, Le'Ron McClain w/ 900+ NFL rushing yds last year 4.88. Bolden 4.7, Short WR Devone Bess 4.68. Heck J. Rice and I. Bruce and Larry Fitz were 4.6 guys as were Terrell Davis and Emmit Smith. Everyone should check out the combine times this year and you will see 4.4 skill players r rare.

  • I have to admit, he looks like a bull when he hits some people sometimes.

  • Yeah that's good analysis dwid. Brodell and Peterman are very underrated. Swift is too: After watching Swift's vid again I think he is good enough make a starting Flanker for some team in the NFL. Lane's 4.9 speed may be fast enough as a possesson WR in college, but in the pros the slowest WR 40 I've ever seen was a 4.8 40 by Ernest Wilford. Lane may have been hurt because he appeared to be more athletic coming out of H.S than now.

  • yeah i have never heard of a wr running 4.9 and didnt think that was fast enough to even make it in college. What do you think about Dicky Lyons Jr. He seems to be very athletic and underrated since he got injured. On my video that short pass he gets and turns into a touchdown at 2:29 he looks amazing against florida. Granted he was a slot receiver, i was hoping to see what he could do at the #2 spot last season before he got injured. I think he could make an excellent slot receiver somewhere

  • I'm not trying to hate on Lane. I am just speaking the truth that I never thought he was a legit NFL talent. Andy Brodell has got to be the second most underrated WR, Hartline's up there too.

  • he seemed like a nice red zone target, on the 2007 highlights of northwestern i had (it dropped off last season) maybe there is a possibility he could bulk up and play te, he knows how to get open and catch, but if he ran a 4.9 at 200 pounds i wonder how he would do if he bulked up, hes got the height (6'3). I wonder if he might have been injured or something, cuz 4.9 is just, ive never herad of a a wr running that, i thought he was like a 4.7 guy .i really like Nate Swift better than Brodell

  • but then again Brodell was in a run heavy offense, he had his best season in 2006 and i think had an lingering injury. Hartline stats suffered a little bit this year, less catches and yardage BUT he had alot more ypa. I know Swift didnt run that great at the combine but I just like the way he plays, his play just screams that he can be a reliable receiver at the next level. What somebody pointed out is his hands, he attacks the ball at its highest point. He seems like one of the safest wr picks

  • I think Eric's good pro-day 40 time is more acceleration/burst though than top-end speed Mr. McGuffie. You yourself's 40 time would likely in the low to mid 4.4s instead of 4.32 without your insane burst. And I called it before, by saying that fellow Northwestern WR Ross Lane was not a legit NFL prospect, he ran a pathetic 4.9 40 at his Pro-day. That is slower than the slowest WR in the NFL. There are a couple NFL guys that run 4.8s at WR, but I've never seen 4.9.

  • maybe Lane can bulk up and play TE, that is a bad time.

"you yourself's 40 time would be low to mid 4.4's"

sorry but the best time i ran was a 4.68 as a fullback and the coaches probably helped me out a bit and added the .02, hehe im playing i know you mean someone else. Mcguffie? you think eric's burst is better than mcguffie and mcguffie has more top end speed? or they both have good burst and not as good top end speed? not saying you're wrong just asking you're opinion

  • impressive 40 times at his pro day. The one thing i really think he needs to improve is his catching the ball with his hands. He lets the ball come to him instead of attacking it with his hands.

  • i think that could be due to the quarterbacks passes , low ,soft and to his stomach area, because if you watch closely he catches with his hands before nestling it in his body in alot of the catches. There are a few catches where he attacks it but i think with those passes behind the line of scrimmage he was more worried about securing it to his body and running, but i guess it is something he could improve

  • He looks so hard to bring down, what a fighter.

  • I do see what you're saying that he is comparable to Percy Harvin for his burst/ agility/ screen ability w/o as much of a second gear. He has the skills for sure of a top 10 WR; but his stats weren't as good as most of the day 1 draft propsects including Harvin when you count the rushing stats. His agility is VERY impressive.

  • He just ran a 4.45 40 and a 4.47 40 at pro day. He's got a second gear alright.

  • Peterman= a top 20 2009 WR for sure! His stats and highlights combined were better than lots of the Combine invites I've looked at. I actually think he's better than the other white boy WR you did a video of, Nate Swift, after watching Eric's video and seeing how Swift under-performed at the Combine. Andy Brodell is another very under-rated white WR that isn't likely to get drafted.

  • Great video dwid, after watching a couple of your videos i gotta subscribe to your work, its Grade A stuff.

The thing i like about Peterman is he doesn't go down easy, defenders gotta make sure they wrap him up cause if they just go for the big hit he can bounce off some of them. His agility is also pretty good.

I think he could be a good KR/PR, hopefully being able to play special teams gets him on a roster, and his talent will get him on the field offensively, as a slot WR.

  • white boy can play. shame if he doesnt get picked up. i live here in evanston and have seen him play, he's good.

  • its a fast burst and he weaves right through traffic. the only thing we dont know he possesses as a hb is vision, because hes never played the position before, he could have great vision for all we know. He would definetly be good in a Wes Welker role. Lots of short passes and screens which isnt hard for a qb to do, most can do it with ease, its the receiver that has to do all of the work to get the yards after the catch and make guys miss. What quarterback can't throw accurately 5 yds?

  • but also, i think his top end speed is faster than welker, meaning he can run a longer distance faster than welker. So the guy has it all. NFL teams that don't want this guy will be stupid for missing out on such a talented football player

  • Wes Welker is utilized in a similiar way and is not a running back, although he could be one if they put him there

  • it depends if the steelers or a different team with a powerful offensive line draft him he wud b a good hb i noticed that his first step is not a real quick 1 so if the have a weal o line then he'll b hit 4 negative yards a lot. But he has nice hands and no offense if u like wes welker but he isnt that great with tom brady as qb or even matt cassel who isnt that bad can make u look good just cuz of there accuracy he cud go in the 2nd and b with mark sanchez and they'd b a great duo!:)

  • i never saw anything in the video to indicate that he didnt have a quick first step. Thats where he usually excels is his agility and initial burst up to 20 to 30 yards similiar to welker. Matt Cassel is good for a first time starter but not a top tier qb. If anything Peterman's agility and ability to make defenders miss would make him suitable for a team with a bad oline, watch how he makes defenders miss on some of those catches and punt returns. look at 4:00, it dont look it, but thats fast

  • he'd b a better hb almost all the plays r screens and short pases which means he is good out of the backfield but against the hb in the draft he doesnt stand a chance lesean mccoy, javon ringer, shawn greene, beanie wells and the best 4 last knowshon morino!!

EVAN ROISTER is wat u need 2 look 4 in the next 2 years amazin as a sophemore GO PSU!!!

  • This kid looks pretty good to me.

    No combine invitation??

No chance that everyone of the 45 wr's there are better than him.

  • If I were a GM, I would take Peterman in an instant as a 5th rd. steal. Depending on what he runs at his Pro-day I would know he would almost certainly be there. Scratch that; this is the NFL he probably won't even make a practice squad even if he runs a hand-time 4.4 (he certainly has 4.4 game speed)...He just doesn't fit in ... Scouts should be salivating over this guy after watching this video, but fans are saying Peterman who? That's that "possession" WR from Northwestern; runs a 4.7 right?

  • He kind of reminds me of Harvin, a do it all type of player. Alot of the passes are short or behind the line of scrimmage and hes able to make people miss. Able to get alot of yac. Utilized some in the running game and was good at that, I think they shouldve used him a little more in that department, i think he wouldve exceled. Should be at least a 2nd round pick on talent alone. He was utilized kind of how Welker is and did well (Welker could be a do it all player if they let him, RB/WR)

  • Brian Robiskie of Ohio State, but especially Brian Hartline were hurt by drops in production with Freshman Pryor (he played real well, but ran a lot).

Louis Murphy and Percy Harvin of Florida both weren't eye poppingly productive for top prospects with Tebow (who is great, but runs a lot) but they have been with Tebow for a long time. Their draft stock certainly hasn't been hit like Hartline's was. No one's has.

  • If the production was better he'd be a top 10 WR. From this video you can see he has all the tools, but is probably more early day 2 draft pick caliber player. Most of this guys problem was with Northwestern's QBs Kafka was a running QB who should have played more, but wasn't consistent on deep throws. The other guy Bacher got hurt, but throws way to many INTs when he plays and also isn't consistent on deep throws. Another guy who is underrated was Andy Brodell who got hurt in '07. He's a freak.

  • yea he a beast 2 man

  • Great clip dwid! People need to know about these "forgotten" players. The NFL needs these men more than ever before, as their on the field product is a parody of the old, truly diverse NFL. Hopefully we will soon see more diversity when it comes to white WRs, CBs, and RBs. These men have the skills. That much is undeniable. What they need most is a legitimate shot to prove themselves. Tis a sad fact indeed that most coaches in the NFL won't give it to them.

  • Man dwid i just want to say i love the work your doing keep it up!

  • thanks man, im glad you appreciate it

  • underrated for sure!!
