  • very nostalgic

  • are you in a movie?

  • It's rob the robot!

  • Thumbs up if you have an Eastsheen 4x4!

  • thisisnt possible whenever i get the white center it just messes up the red no matter wut i do

  • Woo got them centers

  • what do u do when u have a orange L but it is in the wrong place

  • dude i can understand you when you do origami but the rubik's cube you SUCK AT THIS

  • Omg. My cube ruptured

  • i solved the middles before you the guy in the RobHo629 even solved his, and i just got my 4x4 yesterday

  • @ChristianCagayan12 when you solve the cube a lot of times the stickers wear off from your fingers

  • I have the white. blue, yellow, and red solved. I NEED HELP

  • Love the hair

  • nostoalgic!

  • this guy is awesome

  • I dont have the green L either

  • i dont have a geen L

  • Comment removed

  • THANK YOU! Well explained.

  • Comment removed

  • the last center pisses me off...

So does your explanation. But will continue to watch.

  • Thanks you are much better than that bitch Pogobat.

  • TYVM cuz of u i solved my rubik's cube theres only 3 algorithums i wrote down cuz i dont remember them cuz i remember 2look oll and pll for 3x3 so ya... but still thanks alot for ur tutorial i just got my rubik's cube and just fnished solving it for the 4th time

  • does it really matter where u choose the centres to be

  • @shomarc yes because if you put them in the wrong place the edges won't be able to match up with the centers correctly like if you switched red and yellow the red/white edges wont match up with them so they wont be solved

  • my 4x4 rubiks cube hasnt even come yet. It is supposed to come on monday, but i just decided to watch this in advance :)

  • wow this is really easy though :D so much easier than the first time I learned 3x3x3!

  • i can do it :D

  • nnot always opsite remember your thank you package blue was opisite of white and yellow with green

  • i saw this alrdy but i forgot but its easy after u do the centers and the edges right?

  • I can this solve his but it's the parities that get me. And my best solve with a 3x3 is 54 seconds with a Rubik's brand cube with 3 in 1 oil.

  • AWESOME VID! THANKS!!!!!

  • You should make a tutorial for the 1x1x1 cube. Thats the only one that still stumps me.

  • i dont like it i love it tnx man

    saman - iran - shiraz

  • Really good video! Thank you!

  • i have most of the cube solved, but i am doing the top face (yellow), and three rows are solved on the top face, but th fourth ended up o the front face of the cube. what algorythm do i use??

  • i didn't know have my cube yet but when i got i knew how to solve the centers and the edges.(except algrythims.) parity was a whole different story

  • 2:48 Who doesn't like U2

  • TALK FASTER

  • @ohnofoogulfish no kidding

  • I've had a scrambled 4x cube for a few years. Today it's complete, thanks to your excellent tutorials. Really good explanations and clear demos. I also saw your amazing 1m 54 solve - amazing! Thanks...

  • Dude i got a rubik's cube but its not "oiled" it is hard to turn it. Any tip to how to make it easy to turn?

  • @magmalexis29 use petroleum jelly

  • @adithyapokemon dont use petroleum jelly on a 4x4 cuz it will fall apart

  • You are so much more helpful than in the other tutorials

  • I love it!

  • how old are you

  • verry good explaination!

  • Great vid.

I had a question about solving the 4x4. When you solve the green cross (or whatever color you solve first), and you want to put the corner pieces to complete the green side, suppose I put the green-yellow-orange piece in it's correct position, the yellow side of the corner piece faces the orange side and the orange side of the corner piece faces the yellow side. How am I supposed to fix that?

    Thanks. :)

  • THANX DUDE I DID THE CENTERS. Time for part 2 :]

  • In this tutorial, I will show how to solve the 4x4 Rubik's Revenge cube. We must first place centers (no algorithm needed), then pair each individual edge (one short algorithm because of parity). After that, the cube is very similar to solving a 3x3.

In this video, I first give an introduction into the 4x4 cube and explain what we will need to accomplish before we can actually start to solve the cube. I also go over the notation we will need to become familiar with when

  • which cube do you recommend? eastsheen, rubik's, or others?

  • U PRIME... OH GOD NOT CALCULUS

    I'M GETTIN' OUTTA HERE

  • I JUST RECEIVE MY RUBIK'S CUBE REVENGE AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT

  • where did you get your 4x4x4 rubiks cube

  • I can't wait until March 12 because then i'll be able to use this cuz it's my birthdat gift (posted March 02 2011)

  • @Windows7n00b i got it early i am scared to mix it up

  • are u using the rubiks 4x4x4 or another companys?

if another company who is it?

  • @wockrad eastsheen

  • i can slove 3x3x3 and 4x4x4 but honest it take me longer time sloving 2x2 dotn know why but i feel like there not much to do with it

  • i can solve 3x3x3 easily. but wachin his, i lost :(

  • Easier Way- Take off of the stickers and place them on where needed. :D

  • @J4KKo1998 thats bad for the cube you do it then post that its easy ok

  • very good vid! very well explained! : )

  • after the 5x5 and 4x4, the 3x3 looks so silly and easy

  • fuck the color scheme, i did it without tht somehow lol

  • i have the question that can you solve the 4x4 like the 5x5 ?

  • @khoiquach204 Almost. There are some parity cases on the 5x5 that does not happen on 4x4, and some on the 4x4 that is not on the 5x5, since 5x5 has a fixed center pice and the 4x4 has not.

  • Where'd you get that cube? It looks as if the blocks are the same size as the 3x3?

  • @mbonnar It's an Eastsheen cube.

  • Ok, so I solved the cube until I had the red, white and blue. When I turned the cube around, the only "L" that was in the right place was the orange! What's wrong?

  • Hi Sir ,Thank You,you are a good teacher .

Your demo / tutorial are excellent !

You had contributed greatly to the growth of interest in Rubit's cube .

    Great works.

  • @aceshows It worked (I tried it)

  • @MrCHILIcheezFRIES That doesn't work.

  • The way you say "180 degrees" really aggravates me!

  • Thanks

  • i got lost when doining the green middle my cube only had 1 green piece not a L

  • rob made 715 accounts toi like this video

  • thx

  • I have to switch back between him and Pogo at times.

    Pogo's more clear at sometimes,

but Rob is clearer in different parts.

  • @kmaglis just stay at pogo i learned to solve from pogo and i'm 10

  • @kmaglis i don't think so i completely knew what he was talking about except parity

  • @kmaglis i did the same thing

  • @kmaglis but rob's video is better overall.

  • 0:01 SKIP ADS

  • @kmaglis Just press F5

  • cant do 2 center pices can you help me

  • sooo much easier than pogobats

  • @RukusDecksRock Agreed! Pogo's 3x3x3 was good but his 4x4x4 is to confusing for me xD

  • I like it when you say orange,it's so weird and so... I don't know

  • Wouldn't it be great if you posted the Algorithms, Non Parity and Parity?

  • thanks so much such a great tutorial :p

  • your hair is great man!

  • u make elvis look like a umpa lumpa...hahaha

  • Where did u buy the 4x4 from? thanks

  • thumbs up if you got the 4x4 or 5x5 for a holiday or birthday.

  • Sweetness. THNKS

  • Are there any advance methods for solving centers?

  • 6;10

    is very helpfull

    8;50 lost ya

i had a green L on the face right next to my blue side and i couldnt solve it

  • 6;10

    is very helpfull

  • Whoa thanks, dude! I couldn't follow Dan Brown's after awhile, but yours worked for me! :D

  • hey what if i dont get a green l? can i still solve it?

  • cool

    good

  • omg thanks ur so helpful cuz u did a tutorial on every situation thank youy

  • wen he said its like a 3x3 rubik's cube i knew it was easy nd 4x4 r actually easy nd i just tried 3x3 algorithms

  • i always run into a corner parity were the corners dont fit when i start solving it like a 3x3 wat is the algarithym

  • RobHo is the best =)

  • Hi,

can you please help me? my personal record is 14 min it is my only video, can you please see it and tell me what i am doing wrong, i follow the steps excatly, thank you!

    btw great video 5/5

  • I dont understand this :(

  • its annoying that you have to learn the 4x4 method in order to solve the 5x5 :(

  • U realy help me to solve rubik's 4x4x4

  • Thank U so much

  • good job! Thanks for this video, i'm going to by a 4x4 tomorrow. :)

  • Hy sensei, I'm roman from indonesia. thanks for the tutorial, I've followed the tutorial you from 3x3x3 to 6x6x6. now I have been able to solve Rubik's without a problem anymore. I hope I can meet with you.

  • MAN!!! this is how someone EXPLAINS IT!

much better than giving only algorithms away....

    just perfect man!

    good job.

  • oh yea we got the same cube ;D

  • umm... what does Lw mean on notation? i see it a lot on online cube timers and i dont know what it means

  • To complicated for noobs!

  • um i got a 4x4 today and its stiff is this normal. like its hard to move the faces

    help!!!

  • you suck booooooooo go prgobat!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wtf?!!! u suck u bitch!! waste of time!!

  • i just got a 4x4x4 10 minutes ago and i have no clue how to solve it and this video didnt help at all

  • his outlet looks like a sad/mad face!

  • u completely lost me at 7:30, what if there is no blues that are diagonal with the white and red in place?

  • @zormentor1 You aren't meant to really follow along with these tutorials, but instead gain some knowledge and insight as to how you may solve the centers on your own cube. I go through a bunch of different combinations which you may see while solving your 4x4 (please read the video description). So you may not come across a case where you have two pieces diagonal during one solve but will in another.

  • u suck bitch i don't understand the fuck u said

  • @Lunarmoon1000 whats wrong with u this was a great tutorial just cause u dont understand dont mean notin

  • You are a god, i learned how to solve the 3x3 from your videos and rejoiced when i found out you had a tutorial for 4x4 I will get soon :D

  • I really like your tutorials

  • I just bought one one these for about 30 dollars and almost all of pieces are really loose and will fall of it the sides are not perfectly lined of.

My cube has to be defected right? Because I can barely work with it without it falling apart!

  • I actually figured out how to do it bymyself based on 3 x 3, but I could never match up the last too edges. thanx man!

  • where did you buuy your cube?

  • im stuck simple on the notation!

  • Are you breathing? lol

  • Hey Rob Do you know the Cage Method?

  • due ,rockin the 80's hair style lol jk

  • where can i get that rubiks? i only have the 3x3x3

  • Thanks alot.. I was watching other videos too, but you explain realy good and it gets easier to understand.. :)

  • can u plz send me the steps so i can print them out plz

  • u dont speak a lot like some other said, nor does ur voice give me a headache. all i want to say is u are good. though u can improve and be the best. Thanks for the Video. You kind of have a Indian look in ur face!

  • you talk too much -.-'

  • you move way too fast and are a terrible teacher

  • @BasementBrigade he moves the slowest out of all the rubiks cube teachers on youtube.

  • i just got a 4x4x4 this day for my brother's confirmation^^

  • i saw this cube on deal extreme. its called a magic iq cube 4x4. is it the same as a clefferts or mefferts clone or also known as a qj

  • hi thank you.=)

  • Your guide has helped me a lot in understanding and solving the pretty much everything. But I keep ending up with all the corners left.

I've used the 3x3 algorithms to get all the corners with right colors in the right corners. But just can't seem to put these corners colors to each corresponding colors.

would appreciate if you could help me,

  • @jayjay05jezuz thats what she said

  • I am fed up with my rubik's 4x4. it always locks up and it wont get better when i lubricate it. Does anyone know a company that makes a better 4x4?

  • @Y2Ksurvivor1 try eastsheen I have one and it's much lighter and rarely locks up

  • Videos like this make me wish i had a 4x4x4

  • see my fast and easy explanation over at:

    watch?v=jnXMHB8GMsc

    thanks, see you there!

    Rubicksoss

  • i got my cube today, watched your video and solved it right after. I can solve a 3x3 so it helped. But im wondering why i never ran into parity? I used the dan brown method on the 3x3 part. can someone tell me how i never ran into parity?

  • @k2skater319 when i first did it, i did it 15 maybe even 20 times before i ran into a parity, you will do at some point i should think.

  • @Spewdrummer the chance u run into the oll parity is 50/50, pll parity is also 50/50, the chance you run into both is 25/75 and the chance you run into non is 25/75.

  • hay man i got giving a 4x4 and it was missed up when i got it and i solved it all but one corner and it dont mater how much i do the cube its still lives one corner un done how do i fix it

  • thanks i will need to watch this feiw times and i just bot a 4x4x4 rubix on e bay

  • Wow! Thanks! I got a 4x4 for a gift on a my b-day and I just tried it out. I NEVER touched a 3x3 in my life, and with the help of your tutorial, I got it the 2nd time I watched it! I'm really impressed with myself (thanks to you!) The 1st time I watched your video I was like: OMG I'll never be able. And check me out after the 2nd time! I'll go try the 2nd part now! THANK YOU :)

  • great tutorial man.

  • 5 stars dude thanks i got the middles for the first time. i messed up on the last two colors but i got it now. thanks.

  • Looks Hard but its a Challenge im up for It took me months to get the 3 by 3

  • im getting one of these

  • looks like very hard

  • i got a new one of those! i have an old one but it is broken

  • I never get a 3-piece L, wtf?

  • where did u buy the cube ?

  • where do u buy that 4x4x4 rubix cube? i want one its cool to solve

  • @gilster379826 no it isn't... :DD i can't solve it : DDDD i like 3x3 more:DD

  • thxalot, its not that easy to find a nice 4x4x4 solution, yours is very well done

  • thank you now i can solve the centers

  • thanks, i got how you did it. it's the best way so far.

  • ok I have a question I have the red wite blue and when I was working on the other sides to pair up the sides I noticed that my yellow was oppisit of my red. and and orange oppisit of my white its like that my orange and yellow are flipped how can I move there place so they are were they belong.

  • how come when i get the red white and blue centers solved, when i setup the green center to be solved opposite the blue side, the green center ends up opposite red and then orange goes opposite blue?

  • Couldnt you just solve the middle four pieces like a 2x2 if you keep the colors on the right side?

  • does any one know how to prevent pop ups? I have to reasamble my cube 1 time every day because of one stupid piece

  • Basically it is a sign of age, and wear. I am not aware of any way of tightening up the cube on the even numbered cubes. The odd numbered cubes can sometime be tightened up a bit at the centers, but if it is wear that is causing the pop ups you pretty much have to get a new cube.

However, if you have two cubes, you can assemble the better pieces from each so don't throw away the old ones.

If you are learning the solid plastic (no stickers) cubes take a lot more wear, but don't look as nice.
