How can there be rules to a myth? This is one of the oldest "bar bets" of all time. I fold the paper like this guy does ftw every time! No one thinks to fold it this way.

There are several things wrong with your theory. For starters, the myth says you have to rotate the paper 90° before the next fold. The ends of the paper MUST be toucking without any pressure, but gravity is acceptable. The paper must be wider, and longer than the folds are tall, and every fold MUST be creased.
