saw GM in the sixties with the mick mulligan band at bolsover and again with john chilton in the nineties at chesterfield, still a great performer his talent as a jazz singer cannot be replaced.
theres a great exhibtion of george paintings in the liverpool walker art gallery.its on till the end of july.free entry.went to see it today...a real character.r.i.p.george.

Many years ago I bumped into him in a bar in the westend. He was great company..and always
a laugh to watch performing . Such a shame he
is no longer with us. A great man.
