Howard Shore es un compositor que cuando era mas joven, con una biblioteca de sonidos que se construyo el desde cero y un teclado Cassio profesional, solo con esas dos cosas hizo la banda sonora de una película de 1983 llamada Videodromo de Cronenberg, eso demuestra el nivel de creatividad y genio que posee este compositor, ya a la altura de Bach y de Mozart

De Videodromo y de casi todas las películas de Cronenberg, de hecho si tu escuchas el fragmento de "la Guarida de Ella Laraña" de la BSO de El Retorno del Rey y después escuchas la banda sonora de "La Mosca" de 1986 veras que hay ciertas similitudes entre ambas piezas musicales.
