We stayed clear of the highways and took the back-back roads. Makes you wonder what would happen if a Category 5 Hurricane was heading for Houston. 2 million people trying to get out of the city will not be a pleasant experience.
omg i was in this shit!! what a pain! it took 20 hrs to get from houston to lake livingston to the lake house.. thank God I had plenty of gas and water. soooo many cars on the side of the road..
know what pissed me off?? Gas stations and grocery stores would not let us use the restroom.. we were not traveling fast enough to worry about someone getting out on the FREEWAY and going to the woods to use the restroom.. we would only be two car lengths up.. AT BEST lol Gawd that whole ordeal sucked
@valeciaf I made it to Oklahoma in 28hrs.... I remember all too well the gas stations and their refusal.... Looking back though, we should have just stayed in Houston....
Somewhere in the Woodlands is a petrified turd behind a building i left because of RITA!!!!!
