By "best", do you mean most played? Its the most played because its the easiest game in the world to get going. "Here's a ball. Go kick it around". You dont need any other gear.

Of course soccer's going to be more popular than hockey, as aside from the gear, you can't even play ice hockey in alot of countries, due to the fact it doesn't snow there. That doesn't mean soccer's "better". That's a very skewed stat.

are u kiddin soccer keepers get what 4-5 shots a game and sometimes let in all of them or even 1-3 is still a horrible goals against average hockey goalies face way more shots, yes it is a smaller net but I could be a soccer goalie i would only have to make one save a game and my coach would be ok with that if i did that in hockey I wouldn't be playin rep no more
