@dragonborn543 Well, if Lucas was uncertain about even using the scene, why would he go and hire Liam Neeson to voice it. I expect this to be added in for the 50th anniversary edition myself, with a computer generated voice similar to Neeson's. (X_X)
@shaun4225 If they had used Liam Neeson, they wouldn't have deleted the scene. But he was involved in so many prijects at the time he probably couldn't.
It is obvious that yoda is trying to concentrate. If they would just let their talented people work in peace and quiet they wouldn't have to save the world so many times.
not really. In the graphic novel of SW3-ROTS, the Yoda meditation scene is actually a scene where he is talking with Qui-Gon Jin. And Yoda claims that Qui-Gon had become wiser than him because he had forseen the future thus Yoda seek to become his apprentice.
@SeanWheeler100 again, this is a unfinished cutscene... in the finished version Neeson has the voice.. how many times must one say this. Is this not obvious?
It's too bad the other Jedi couldn't have had the special training as well. Imagine them beating on Anakin when he finally returns in spirit form. By the way, how did Anakin learn to reach spirit form anyway?
@NTJack1 No no no please don't missunderstand me, it wasn't a poke at you, I was just saying that the video it's self wasn't the best I've seen. I'm sure you've uploaded some really good stuff but my comment on this was not meant to hurt you personally and I'm really sorry if it came out that way.
@b5b6y I see, well don't worry about it, people tend to find these things interesting, plus it's better then wasting your money on actually buying the Blu-Ray just for these scenes.
To those who think this is fake, it's just part of Lucas's pre-visualization process. Usually, he has a scene idea, a storyboard's made, a very crude version's put together, and it goes form there. It looks like this had already been handed to ILM, and they were at least halfway through a final shot, especially since the ending made the cut. They often don't add animation until they have a real voiceover, but that's not an issue here. They obviously wanted a decent shot before they asked Liam.
@Kryptonater1994 It's not the finished version, it's before they add the voices and do the touch ups to make it look good, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Even if you imagine it with Liam Neeson's voice, it's a ham-fisted attempt to self-consciously patch a plot hole and if they'd left it in, the movie would have done it twice instead of once, when Yoda tells Obi-Wan all about it later. Bad scene, good cut.
@MagicAlDF George Lucas, along with Peter Jackason, is probably one of the few people who talks about why he deleted a scene. Your always thinking "WTF did they delete this for?" Unlike some people, George actually explains why, and it always sounds so logical. People will say he's a bad movie maker, but what they fail to notice is that he's a GREAT editor.

Hahaha "Qui Gon's" dialog is so shitty it's hilarious... so it would fit in perfectly w/ the movie!
thesir27 5 days ago
That's why in Episode IV, Ben Kenobi said that if he dies he will become more powerful than Vader could be possibly imagine.
In Episode III at the very end, Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi trained with Qui Gon after Yoda speaks with Qui Gon(as seen in the video at the top)

Is this real? I mean just because they didn't use Liam Neeson's voice doesn't mean it isn't real

It's sad that this scene was never finished and included in the final cut of ROTS due to Liam Neeson's accident back then.

@FekLeyrTarg Liam Neeson had an accident? Did he shit his pants when he saw how bad his initial encounter vs apprentice Maul went?
