This is probably really hard/impossible, but it would have been cool if you got it to go into the bowl of Shea. You probably couldn't do that with Citi Field, because it's fully enclosed and you wouldn't be able to see it.
Well Shea is long gone now... so I guess you can't
as high as I want.... after it gets too high (unless I had binoculars) it's a dot in the sky and I can't even tell what it's doing, so what the point of going that high..... a nice view!
Wow, almost all the comments are so odd to me. So fearful and worried about the technical aspects, and getting cauht in a passing Jet?! I see am amazingly deft perspective of the destruction of history. The music and plane motor audio mix was perfect, and with each pass I anticipated another tearful look at the great Shea as it crumbled in time. Very nice piece of work!!
amazing!! I did not know a remote could go that high. mets baseball it's just not going to be the same without shea stadium. there was somithing special playing at shea. mets and and shea go together.
Hey, really great footage and flying! This is a bittersweet reminder of days gone by... I watched your video and thought of all the places I sat while in Shea Stadium. Thanks for sharing... as an RC pilot and Met fan this was totally cool! Let's Go Mets! John
Amazing videos! And even if i've been watching baseball and the us open for a long time (on tv of course), i did not know that Shea stadium was so close to the new tennis center before watching these videos.
very cool. Only thing I would worry about is that this area is so close to Laguardia airport- hate to see that plane get sucked into the engine of a plane taking off. I am sure you know what you are doing though.
dude shut the fuck up dumb ass you dont even know what kind of fucking plane it is so why should you care about others saftey. its to high to lose control so shut he fk up.
they didnt need to tear down shea to make more parking! there was plenty of parking around the area that ppl cud park their cars in like the arthur asche parking a few blocks away.
@Softee64 yes, not getting the video back would suck, engine of the airliner that crashed because of it, who cares right, passengers ahhh.. Approach patterns and take-off altitudes are not that different from the height it was, and if the tower had to move guys around for a problem, could easily be same height
RE: umm, how do you see where the plane is going no matter how far away it is? --- No, I currently have to keep and eye on it at all times. I do own a pair of FPV goggles, but am still a few weeks away from it's first flight.
One of my first planes, a 'Super Star'. It is a trainer, which gives stable fight for the video. I usually put the camera on my "Reactor" (by Great Planes) but the landing area here is a little small for that big plane.
