  • That sax solo really compliments the song!

  • all the 16 people are listning to beiber music

  • One of Gillan's best songs, and a soulful perfomance by Jeff. I just wonder who asked who to do this one...

  • there's no more reason for him to cry - but his guitar cries on for ever, here and everywhere else

  • RIP Jeff, you will be missed forever

  • Awesome this song has a real soul. R.I.P Jeff Healey

  • I love his voice... awesome.... lots of emotion in it... good job,,,,,

  • Maybe you should listen again, exclusively to Ian's vocal. The amount of perfect detail applied to each storytellin' word is rare today and especially for this age!

  • jeff healy r.i.p you are up there with rory gallagher hendrix zappa great company

  • jeff healey the main man r.i.p

  • Gillan should retire ... ain't much voice left in him

  • 308k hits for this and what..over 100 mil for susan boyle. What the fuck is wrong with this world?

  • @JonnySublime who's susan boyle?

  • Used to go Healy's when I came to town to wrench at the Molson GP. Got to meet Jeff a few times. He would remember me ask how we doing for the race. What great guy he was to his fans. I asked once what that red pickup was in his house guitar. Did realise 'till I got back to the hotel I asked a blind guy about the "red" pickup. What a great player and man. I was lucky to get in a deep discusion about playing and tone with him once. Such a great performance this is. I'll Always miss him

  • mAN I MISS THIS MAN.....USED TO GO TO HEALYS IN TO...THOSE WERE THE DAYS WHEN jh ACTUALLY TURNED UP.STILL GET GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSBUMPS.

  • Even if this is not your brand of music, You have to be a scumbag of the highest order to navigate your way to the dislike button, and click dislike. Die a painful death you effin scumbag!

  • @YouWillSubmit Amen Dude.word.

  • Haunting video, RIP Jeff.

  • amazing!

  • class

  • A Hell of a musician but much more he was a Hell of a man.... He sat in with so many and when you come right down to it he could have sat in with anyone...He is and will be so sadly missed..........

  • i would love to meet mr. gillan,he's a real rocker!

  • Jeff is a blind man, he's not crying, but he can make his guitar do just that!

  • Absolutely amazing...

  • "had a friend but it ended too soon"........wow how prophetic Jeff's life cut way too short.

  • @SeboZax7 just now when i heard that line it made me so sad cuz it really was prophetic. what a gentle, humble, sweet man he was and so so talented. i better find him in heaven when i get there!!

  • I wish he had joined deep purple and made a DVD with them.

  • RIP Jeff :(

  • "When a blind man makes his guitar cry". That should be the name of this song (at least for that concert)

  • 100% !!!

  • This two had to play together some time. There are no comparable musicians to this two giants. Absolutely great!

  • What an amazing, emotional, inspiring version...

    All my respect..

  • I was there. Words can't describe

  • So many people say Jeff was good for a bling man but I say he was good for ANY man, his music is an inspiration that anything is possible if you keep at it long enough. We all have lost a great voice in music.

  • @outskirtscustoms blind* sorry

  • @outskirtscustoms i totally agree a preson who is just good wouldnt have played with greats like SRV,BB king and all the other greats he was great not good good would be some guy who is a one hit wonder who played with no one at this level blind or not he still made his guitar gently weep

  • @untamed169 So true, I'd say Jeff is the most overlooked talented individual of all time. So many people are like "Who is Jeff healy?" Then when they hear him for the first time they are like WOW!

  • Ian Gillan, Ronnie Dio, Bruce Dickenson, Glenn Hughes, are still the best Rock singers ever. RIP Jeff, we miss you.

  • @bobbigboss111 forgot Freddie Mercury

  • "Had a good time, but it ended much too soon"

  • lol 0:23

  • I only know Jeff from this song... but... what can be more than playing him this song !!

he is really great !! R.I.P.

  • Damn Jeff was good miss him now

  • yes it is ian gillian

  • is the that the old deep purlple singer ian gillian?

  • @Fletcher19911 Yes, but Ian Gillan not Gillian. Great song, Great singer too, and jeff did the job perfectly. RIP Jeff.

  • the best video ever

  • how ironic... RIP Jeff Healey

  • beautiful

  • Bullshit its well know and has been said by all members of Purple that Blackmore didn't like the song.

I personally think this is the best version of the song I've heard. Its such a shame that Gillan hasn't got the voice any more.

  • It does not matter if he liked the song or not. He owns it. His notes in the solo are untouched to this very day. Gillan`s voice varies from concert to concert. Sometimes it is full sometimes not.

  • yes I also can´t believe Ritchei didn´t like this song. how would the solo have been if he´d liked it ?????

  • Perfect... RIP Jeff

  • please... Who knows the name of this concert ?

  • Gillan's Inn Tour.

  • Perfect! RIP, Healey!!!

  • what a soulful voice Ian Gillian has and Jeff Healy well I miss him RIP Jeff, I usually close our blues set with this song and dedicate it to Jeff Healy

  • Viva Jeff Healey....

  • Jeff realmente faz falta... não conhecia esta versão e estou de cara... essa musica do Purple é muito foda e sem duvida com o Jeff ficou ainda mais perfeita.... muito bom...

  • healy, stevie ray vaughan, hendrix, albert king, janis...... and so many more.. R.I.P

its quite a party they must have up in heaven.. cant wait to see them live..

  • dopo averlo conosciuto con patrick sweazy nel duro del road house sono sempre rimasto affascinato dal suo modo di suonare, che cazzo di manico!!!!! RIP

  • Great artist he was,Jeff Healey

  • Jeff, R.I.P.

  • WOw! they still rock! more than the bling2x guys!

  • reposes en paix jeff .Tu seras toujours dans mon coeur

  • damn what a special artist Jeff was...

  • serious? It's Ian Gillan from Deep Purple...This is a deep purple song

  • Oh, i got confused! Jeff is behind him w/ the guitar! Wow, i LOVE the way he plays that guitar! no one does it any better. He's amazing.

  • Это великий человек! НЕТ СЛОВ - что бы высказать свои чувства...

  • best player ever

but seriously all jokes aside. we fuckin LOVE you jeff! RIP man therl never be another like you.

  • I am not a blind man,but i cry.

  • R.I.P. Jeff :(

  • What a player...

  • I agree there are many Greats it is a Matter of taste but i am proud to say a few are canadian! Not bad 4 a country w a small pop. Props 2 the U.S. and U.K too

  • R.I.P. JEFF WE LOVE YOU FOREVER..

  • wow..

so touching, he played better then who can see..!!

  • Seen Ritchie,Jeff, Joe Satriani & Steve Morse play this and I honestly have to say that Joe,Jeff & Steve are all better at it than Ritchie. Maybe its true what Ian Gillan and Ian Paice said when they mentioned in an interview once that Ritchie didn't like this wonderful tune because when he plays it his heart just isnt in it.

  • wow, 1:06 to 1:10, cant stop listining to it

  • listening*

  • Thank you 4 posting This.

  • Perfect. It made me cry!!!

  • u poof its a amazing song but dont cry

R.I.P. Jeff and Rory, I hope the jams never end in heaven.

  • Grown man with swollen eyes here.

  • amazing but not like Richie blackmore

    Richie is FEELING

  • If this isn't feeling - then what is it? :)

  • <3 RIP Great Jeff Healey <3

  • Great posting of a big music event .

  • It's very hard for me to say what I feel...Gillian play "When a blind man Cries" and Jeff is beside him..my eyes are wet...JEFF...you are allways in my heard and my soul...R.I.P. my friend!

  • @tibijuchi true woeds man...... with all my respect

  • @tibijuchi my eyes are wet too..... god bless you jeff.... you're gone too soon can anyone tell me why?

  • I wonder where I can get the full video.

  • Beautiful version, nice touch with de sax.

  • "I had a friend once, in a room. We had a good time, but it ended much too soon"

That line is kinda sad when you know that Healey didn't have much time left at that point :(

  • Ian Gillian of Deep Purple! Incredible!

  • Jeff is missed by all of us, may he truly rock in peace, lol Ian Gillan looks like a bum now, he's starting to lose his voice but this performance was still amazing

  • thanks for making me cry.

  • Отвал башки!!

  • Just great! Thanks for sharing this awesome video!

  • Jeff's substantial physical presence, talent, generosity, sense of humour & ability to move listeners with his unequivocal, gripping playing made him a true giant of a man. He endured constant roadblocks & challenges throughout his life, achieving more on a material & especially artistic level than 100's of other "Come & Go Celebrities". His soulful partnership with Ian Gillan on this song of personal lifelong inspiration takes on an elevated level of poignancy now, after his premature passing.

  • @SPAZZOBOXER What more can one say my brother, Jeff IS truly a giant of a human, with a soul full art that's as deep as the Pacific Ocean.

  • @SPAZZOBOXER

    Well said!!

  • Jeff and Stevie are showin' em' how it's done up above.....keep playin' those blues...we miss you both!!!

  • I get goose bumps every time I watch Jeff's guitar solo. Simply amazing.

  • He sure can make that guitar talk. Awesome as is all of this music. I think he is up there jamming on a harp now.

  • R.I.P. Jeff Healey

You are missed...thank you for all !

  • I don't know about the blind man, but Jeff's guitar could sure make ME cry. MAN...what can you say about talent like his?

  • stunning. what else can be added? ritchie is amazing, but it is unmeasurably deeper when healey takes his turn. it is almost as the song were written for him. what an incredible loss.

  • This seems like it was filmed in heaven, unreal!

  • Holy shit, emotional overload right there. I'm in tears here and I don't know if it's because of Jeff's playing or the fact he's no longer here. Probably a bit of both. Where's the kleenex

  • this is THE best guitarist ever. He's better than Hendrix or Clapton

  • Yes man I think it too but there is one better thing: Texas Flood with Stevie Ray Vaughan. ¡You should hear it!

  • Just a fabulous post!

    Thank you!

    R.I.P. Jeff Healey

    You are missed!

  • Wonder what it must be like for him now, if there is another side, to be able to finally see. To see the light, see colors, see beauty, perfection....

  • Superb. thats how its done
