We watched this in my health science class when learning about the effects of alcohol on the body, unlike other videos on alcohol awareness, this one made me start having tears run down my face in the middle of class, it really is convincing :)
Im a Firefighter/EMT and I have seen my share. The sad thing is we can prevent this easily with just a phone call or having a DD. Its not easy being the one to have to cut you out of these cars. Or the pain we feel to have a young man or girl talking to you one minute begging us to help them, hooked up to the monitors and watching their heart stop beating doing every thing we can to bring them back, but no matter what we do its not enough. Save us from that horror.

They take the wreck car from a junk yard and find a real working car that resembles it then use both in the footage. So these cars just arent a perfect match. but its enough to get the message across. I dont mean this as an attack, im just saying.

Too many people view drinking and driving as a victimless crime... until there is a victim, that is. hey this movie is very good. i hate it when innocent lives are taken when it isn't even their fault. Drunk Driving is not the road to success.

If you're a teen and watching this, do what we did: Keep a list of everyone who tried to pressure you into drinking or doing drugs. Someone at Temple suggested it to me. I did. Now, when those losers call for a loan or a job...or when they die or commit suicide... I have a clear written record why no, they can't have a loan/ a job/ sympathy because they're dead ....or injured.

We watched this in my health science class when learning about the effects of alcohol on the body, unlike other videos on alcohol awareness, this one made me start having tears run down my face in the middle of class, it really is convincing :)

Im a Firefighter/EMT and I have seen my share. The sad thing is we can prevent this easily with just a phone call or having a DD. Its not easy being the one to have to cut you out of these cars. Or the pain we feel to have a young man or girl talking to you one minute begging us to help them, hooked up to the monitors and watching their heart stop beating doing every thing we can to bring them back, but no matter what we do its not enough. Save us from that horror.

@Mike190 This program uses cars that have already been wrecked in accidents. we just did this today at our school. They take the wreck car from a junk yard and find a real working car that resembles it then use both in the footage. So these cars just arent a perfect match. but its enough to get the message across. I dont mean this as an attack, im just saying.

You guys have done a Great job on this video. I am a firefighter who has responded to the scene of drunk driver related car crashes which resulted in the deaths of young people. I'm proud of you guys for spreading the word to prevent drunk driving. I wish more folks took this as seriously as you did. Keep it up.

I cried...thank you soo much for this video. For my senior project I am pairing up with the CHP and doing an Every 15 Minutes. I have planned this since 2008 when 7 teens were in a crash and 2 DIED. One that died I knew and another person in the car was one I love dearly. All 7 had been drinking and were leaving a party. Everyone out there should know that YOU ARE NOT INVINCIBLE! While it is clearly a public/non-professional production, the message and point is quite clear, and props for the effort involved in getting that across. Too many people view drinking and driving as a victimless crime... until there is a victim, that is. And by then, it's usually too late, and the criminal driver (and usually friends and family) see it as only an "accident", not as a series of deliberate choices resulting in so much pain, suffering, and loss.

However, I do sympatize those who were just minding their own business while driving, and then a drunk driver strikes them. I am 110% AGAINST underage drinking parties.
Seriously... I believe those who make a choice to drive drunk or get into a car with a drunk driver, should know darn better that underage drinking/drunk driving is wrong, sorry... but there is no fucking excuse.

Not to be mean or anything... I honestly don't have any sympathy for a drunk driver, as well as those who make a choice to get inside a car with a drunk driver. Sorry, I am just telling it like it is... I mean it's just common sense because (A) It's a choice to attend an underage drinking party, and get involved with drinking. (B) People are freakin' stupid enough to get intoxicated, and then get into a car with the drunk driver.
