Original games are always the best, new graphics would give it a completely different feeling. I give a damn if the graphics look old, they're part of the epic atmosphere. The reason this scene is so powerful is that it works on so many levels. It doesn't just tell you about the plot, it displays SHODAN's character.

It displays her madness, her delusions of godhood. It shows you her contempt for humanity - while showing you that she doesn't understand human concepts like trust at all. It shows you that she really IS as powerful as she claims in many ways, through the creation story of the Annelids and her part in making you what you are right now.

System Shock 2 really is timeless, and quite possibly one the most underrated and unknown gems in PC gaming history. Few FILMS can convey a sense of dread and uncertanty as SS2 does.......let alone video games. The visuals still hold up reasonably after 10+ years, and the audio......well, let's just say that it's in a league of it's own :) The dialogue is also phenomenal and extremely well delivered by the voice actors. Without a doubt, one of the most fulfilling games i've ever played.

When I played Fallout New Vegas, Mr. House reminded me of SHODAN and Andrew Ryan. But Mr. House's dialogue just sucks. And I found out on another playthrough of New Vegas that House isn't an AI, even though he really comes off as one unless you decide to go through with killing him in main plotline.

You didn't upgrade or use certain ammo. It's actually quite effective on the hybrids and certain machines when you have the right ammo.
