I tried to one-life clear this. The castle stage four boss laughed in my face and then killed off all of the lives I had gotten up to that point. Stupid teapot thing.

I've been playing this for 3 days now...

Barely got past Cirno. Stuck on Eirin, her stage is hella hard and if I manage to get past it, I get owned by her because my health is very low at that pont. Able to clear Reisen, Remilia and Reimu's stages but unable to kill the bosses.

Do I suck really hard at playing Megamari? Should I just give up or will I eventually get it?

Update: cleared the original 8. Stuck in the first Patchy castle stage.

Hooray for weaknesses. If it weren't for them, I'd never have killed any boss except Cirno. Gotta dodge those lazors in that castle...

Another update to my Megamari tale:

the furthest I've got was the Boss rush. Having to fight 8 bosses, each of them harder than some final bosses in other games, in a row, with only one heal after each, was more than I could handle.

Practice makes better. As long as you aren't clueless and can't improve your playing you will indeed get better.

Try Sakuya first - she's doable without any powerups. Use the video to help you if necessary.

Oh, good job. Just keep practicing the bosses on the normal stages until you got the hang of them (you can reenter levels). Beating them with full powerups should be much easier than beating them the first time.

Meh, I think the normal bosses levels get quite doable as you practice. Patchouli level, however, is twice as hard.

Sorry for my unfamiliarity with the MegaMan games, but I just got MegaMari, and I need to get this cleared up. Do you need to write down the password they give you to restart the game at the same place? Or does the game automatically save for you?

wow, you don't use the special weapons either huh? I've actually never beaten this game despite my best efforts, because for some reason i just refuse to use them. it just feels... cheap.

actually i do that with all other games too, i never grab the powerups in mario or super marisa world, and in shmups i wont upgrade my weapons.

i'm not saying you care or anything, just telling ya i can relate :P

Maybe Lily White just carries around some magic 'pain in the ass field'. At least to someone who's terrible at the main games, it certainly appears to be true of every single time she shows up.

Kedama are useful as generic enemies. I believe they appear as actual enemies in Perfect Cherry Blossom, too, and maybe Embodiment of Scarlet Devil as well.

I actually saw this game like... 50 kabillion months ago. But it was all in Japanese, and there was no commentary, so I didn't know it was Touhou or anything.

And now looking back, it's so weird. =P
