Since when did they "die", exactly? Some of the best platformers are still being released to this day. And what exactly is "3 button mashing skills"? I don't recall button mashing ever helping a thing when I'm trying to beat the Yellow Devil in Mega Man 1(something you can only dream of beating, let alone getting to). The sad part about this is I would most likely demolish you in any FPS or RTS out there. Pick the game kid, you'll be wishing you never said a word.
