Gold is a 6000 year old Bubble ;) The only reason that gold prices are constantly going up dramatically (besides the fact that the gold market is pretty rigged now a days, check the comex market or index every now and then) is because the process of getting the gold out of the ground and refining it to a precious metal is quite expensive and labor driven it self. I'd go with silver, cheaper, easier to get and is much easier to mine and refine. Gold is an 'Intrinsic' commodity.
@Awho11 why do you think silver mining is easier? not true, far from true. Silver is often mined as side product. In most grounds it would be to exspensive to dig only Silver above ground. and that may boost silver. if it would be easy, there would be no shortage.
@Awho11 there is also less silver on the planet. and is used in more industrial processes and products. at one time it was 12 silver pieces to one gold piece. the usual split is 1:50 pieces of silver today. silver is lagging at the momment. so it can only catch up. it is the poor mans gold(the good thing being, not alot of people bother counterfiting silver coins) if the world was to trade in gold alone there wouldnt be any where near enough.
