@TheInuYashaDogEars lol i thought iexplorer.exe(the internet) was explorere.exe and explorer.exe was iexplorere.exe so i thought the internet was on even tho i exited out of it. so i ended up ending explorer.exe and everthing went away exept my backround i had to restart my computer and it was fixed..
@connor12568 You could have just clicked `ctrl+alt+del` and opened task manager, then clicked ``new task`` then typed ``explorer.exe`` you wouldn`t have to restore your comp...
I too uninstalled Internet Explorer from my Windows 7 netbook. I did this by editing the IE file on my hard drive then deleted it. Internet Explorer is now permanently off of my computer. But nothing has been effected and Windows still works because I only removed the browser. But maybe it is because Windows 7 does not depend so much on IE as the older systems do. That could be why my computer is not effected by my removing IE. Andrea.
@andrea22borman Internet Explorer and Explorer.exe are very different things ... And older systems don't need IE , You see ... Windows Explorer is the explorer on yoyr compter to acces files and IE is for exploring the internet ... So : Computers (Running on Windows DO need EXPLORER.EXE bu DON'T Need IE.EXE ...
That's interesting. I thought that older versions of Windows such as Windows 95 and Windows XP depended more on the Internet Explorer web browser to function than what Windows 7 does. So there could be problems if you removed IE there. I have Windows Explorer on my Windows 7 computer, but this is nothing to do with IE. and is where my files are stored. But you would never remove that because that IS part of Windows and would mess up your computer. Andrea.
@andrea22borman And I bought a Macbook Pro =D I'm not a rich man, I got it for free from a site but I won't tell you unless you want me to or people will think I'm a fucking advertising retard.
i used a transformation pack to turn my xp into 7 and when i tried to change it back it messed up my windows xp explorer file so i had to run every thing from the task manager until i restored my computer
