If there is another Depression like in the '30s, it will be far worse, because now nearly all the farmland is owned by corporations. People could survive in the 30s because half the population lived on farms and they could at least live off the land fairly well. My dad saved the family farm using creative bookkeeping, and working like a dog most of his life as did my mother.

This guy is showing Rainbow foods, who to my knowledge were a failing chain taken over by another chain, can't remember off hand who it was though. Another cause for things like this could be logistics (i.e.; trucking because of bad weather, etc.)

My local economy in and around Paris is France is way up. The strikes in October are a sure sign of a boom -- when things pick up, the unions ask for more. I've never seen so many jobs listings here, good pay, benefits, but most of it specialized. Meks me uneasy, because real estate here has skyrocketed, beyond reason. Saint-Denis is a great location, but face it, it's grungy, and the prices are just too high.

I agree with u sir, economy isnt all great like the politicians and news media say. proof my mother has a swap meet biz in hawaii this swap meet has been going on for 31 yrs... it is at the aloha stadium. It is one of the places to come to here on this island. Right across the street is the pearl harbor memorial. she at one time had 1 full stall and a half stall equaling 2 stores. she is donw to one half stall. she did alright on saturday, the sony golf was going on then. it was the place to go!

I have heard that, due to lots of flooding in crop producing areas, wheat products will be 50% more expensive this year. Gasoline prices are also going up. It is worth noting here that COLAs have not gone up at all for 2 years running. I.e., the government is claiming there is NO INFLATION! We common folks are being squeezed little by little, and the govt is lying to us.

The past 2 weeks I've been looking for 3 specific grocery items and the store doesn't have them. These are things I buy all the time at this same store. I spoke to the manager and of course he doesn't have a clue why they aren't on the shelf. Could mean nothing.

I know you said in one of your videos, Atlanta grocers have empty shelves. Not true. I live in North Ga. Our shelves are full. Truckers cannot restock with ice. When the ice ans snow melts, they restock. Gas prices going up. I don't know about that! Mabey less groceries!
