  • Lead locomotive running traction only, trailing locomotive controlled by an extension cord through the rocky cars, providing traction and HEP (Hotel power).

    Very odd train handling characteristics.

  • Why did it need 2 locomotives ( F40s) for only that many cars? Back up engine encase 1 fails or provide extra electricity to the cars?

  • that RDC on the tail is IRSI 6202 and was picked up at Sudbury.
