  • In time is the only good song off change today

  • This is the first time I've seen Ron Emory playing a guitar that wasn't a Gibson (though in the 1982 Detroit video on here it looks like he might be playing a Jaguar).

  • The drummer in this clip is the person that told me that D. Boon of the Minutemen had been killed.

  • Where'd you get this video? I'd love to own a copy.

  • love change today album fucking love it

  • Jack era great, Joe era (mostly) great.... TSOL kill it either way, just a great band.

  • is that Jack Grisham?

  • TSOL and DK? wish I was there! Though I prefer the Jack Grisham era to Joe Wood.

  • @420megadeth Fuck that. I wish the band was both singers and played all the tunes. The early Jack punk years to the Joe punk/metal years. Both are great.

  • 'Change Today' is one of the best rock albums from all time. Period. The haters can kiss Joe´s ass.

  • @concretemitten WUT?? how did you take your music in the water??

  • "Nothing for you" forever!!!!

  • Song for song, Revenge is an amazing album. I can listen to it over and over.

  • @vpdisco I love Revenge so much. It and Change Today remain in my list of all-time favorite albums. They were played often during my late 80's skate years. I don't skate these days but the music from those days live on. Revenge is in my car cd player as I write this, and the reason I'm looking up the Joe Wood years on YouTube : D Wanted to see some vids. These are great!

  • Sick! Joe is great, so is Grisham. Both TSOL's are sick!

  • The first time i listen this song was at the Return of the living dead movie. Now 20 years after my band play this song.

TSOL is the best band ever.

    léo aranha (morto pela escola)

  • I know a lot of TSOL fans have mixed feelings about this particular group. Personally, it's my favorite and they could have changed their name for all I care. Revenge and Change Today are amazing. This footage wholeheartedly supports that!

  • so true

  • True but Jack dosnt think so

  • it's a good record, i think the music is really awesome, but I can't get into joe's voice. I'm not talking shit, I guess I just like Jackie more. I think Revenge woulda been top 10 for me if he sang on it. I dunno, TSOL records still make me move though.

  • Fucking incredible!

  • When my band Sacred Order moved to L.A. in 1985 T.S.O.L. helped us get some gig's opening for them in Hollywood and Huntington Beach....was a real fan of the Joe and Mitch years!

  • Revenge and Change Today are 2 of the greatest records. Joe Wood brought such a unique presence and sound. Thankfully, they shifted away from the corny grave-robbing image and into something to take more seriously, like X or something. However, I have to concur with Mobstar that after Revenge they seemed to have lost the plot!

  • I've never heard them play this live, much thanks. I've loved that song since I saw Return of the Living Dead when I was a kid.

  • We played a show with these guys right about this time and they blew me away! They are really good guys too!

  • I liked Grisham better, but this held it's own....thats one horrible ape drape!!!!!!!!!!!lol

  • Thanks for posting. Revenge has always been my favorite TSOL album. Great from start to finish.

  • Totally agree, though Revenge had weaker production. So sick of hearing put downs of the so-called "Metal" TSOL. This is inventive post-hardcore rock that doesn't pander to skanking jocks or teenage valley girls. Hopefully this ruling vid should silence some of the haters.

  • @cubistblues

"Revenge" and "Change Today" are alright. Not the best, but far from the worst. When people talk about TSOL's metal period they're usually referring to "Hit and Run" or "Strange Love". Have you heard those albums? Total hair metal.

  • yeah, let's not talk about them. there's a live 1988 cd on restless, around the time of "hit and run", where you can actually hear the point where they "jumped the shark", so to speak. the guitar got tinny, the bass dissappeared, and really bad covers of hendrix and the doors started filling out the set. this was the period g'n'r allegedly dug. there's rumour of a final jack album from 1983 that was scrapped. probably for good reason, i guess.

  • @cubistblues Amen!

  • was this at thw WUST? thats the only place I can imagine host such a show in DC. its definately not the 9:30

  • Thanks for posting this!! I seriously loved Change Today? and Revenge. This is a nice treat!!

  • Can't stand Joe Wood much myself, but I've got to admit... I really like the "Change Today" LP and even some of those songs off "Revenge".

Ron is killing it on "In Time" here.

  • not a joe wood fan.

its nice to see that they still played some of the old stuff during this phaze, i think ron really did them justice.

  • agreed ron has a decent voice that has always fit tsol weather singing back up or the lead parts.

  • Good stuff. What a treat. Keep 'em coming!

  • I love this video so much. I'm glad to finally share it. I'm uploading some more of it tonight...should have "Silent Scream" with Joe singing on it.

  • @videoflashback Thank for this great piece of rock´s history.

  • That's a damn good quality video. Neat to see the vocal switch off on the songs Ron does in concert. It's funny, but I never noticed the dueling guitars on their studio recordings xD
