  • Say what you will about the mans current situation and his bad choices, but the fact remains he has accomplished 5000x more than the rest of combined in his lifetime. He may be a has been, but most of you will be a never was.

  • Its still a really cool DDT.

  • Tough to watch. He was at a low point on Beyond the Mat when he was wrestling in armories. That was more than 10 years ago and he has since fallen even farther than that.

He could be making a good living working as a writer or agent right now if he had his act together.

  • Could this possibly being more pathetic?

I was linked to this from the warrior's blog as well and it is a good lesson from not to be so stuck in the past that even after you're no longer the draw you once were back when Bush Sr. was in office, you still just can't let go.

I wonder if hell is exactly that. Longing desprerately for the way it used to be and never being able to get there.

  • The Ultimate Warrior linked me to this video, and I see why LMAO

  • rofl. I hope to God the crowd got a full refund on their money.

PS: Warrior is kind of a dick but I am grateful for the lulz had from this link. Always believe, indeed.

  • That was a wicked DDT!

  • the best part was after the match when jake was picking up dog poo in the park.

  • After performing in front of 93,000 at one time, I bet he never thought he'd be wrestling for only a handful of people and at his age.

  • I saw Jake at a IWC show in Elizabeth, PA and this was just about how that went down... 'cept it was a Tag match so he came in for the finish after the two local guys worked the whole match.

Tried to meet him afterward at the autograph tables and he wouldn't even acknowledge me... or several other people for that matter.

As long as he gets his next fix, right? "Ooh, finished the match, worked the crowd, got a cheap pop and made my $50! HEY BUDDY, where's the nearest coke dealer?"

  • I don't mind the bashes on jake just remember that he was so late that is why the crowd is small.. at the festival people had moved on after we finished the show....TINY TUBBS

  • Right so I followed this link from Warrior's site and I can see what he means. Hell, I even feel better about MY life after watching this. Where is this "self-destruction" everyone talks about with Warrior? Honestly, I don't agree with all of his views but I agree with his philosophy.

I live my life by my own standards and stick to my guns, if no one likes my opinion, fuck'em, that's why it's MY opinion.

  • the snore of the crowd

  • People are misunderstanding Warriors intentions here, he's not using it to just laugh at Jake, he's not doing that at all, what he's doing is showing a counterpoint to suggestions about his own life. People questioning when he will die, and how his life has spiralled out of control, his career 'self destructed' etc. What he's saying is 'hey, I'm 50 years old, still going strong, and am happy with life. You talk about ME self destructinging, look at this, THIS is the lowest ebb and Im not there'

  • You apparently are the only sane one here, well there are a few more. Totally, Warrior, although I don't agree with all his politics, seems to lead a normal happy life. Jake on the other hand, well if you've seen Behind the Mat doc and this video...not so much. Poor guy.

  • This is truly sad.

  • THIS IS AWESOME *clap clap clapclapclap* THIS IS AWESOME!

  • I couldn't hear much because of the massive crowd going crazy during the match...

  • was this for real or was he just mucking round at a mates house? wtf !?

  • the ultimate warrior is a total prick..i read some of his blog hes a right idiot...he lives in his own little fantasy world

  • This is sad.

  • Looks Like A WWE House Show

  • Wow, that was pretty awesome. He fucked up that guy!

  • butternut is sooo fucking hick

  • yeah...

I'll stand here and let you slap me. Open palm.

He was never in shape, but... is he preggers?

  • I hope he is not still getting paid with drugs.

  • this is pathetic even for "the Snake", i really fell bad for him now.

  • At Wrestlemania 3, Jake wrestled in front of 93,173 people aganist The Honky Tonk Man. Now, he is wrestling in front of maybe 10 people at some small town festival. It's his own fault.

  • .. that makes me want to cry on so many levels... I cant take it look at how he walked away, He didn't even stop to look at the kids which he used to do every time he looks so gone.

  • I don't know, it is sad to see Jake doing these small time short matches where someone should be starting not ending your career, but I do appreciate that he is not so trashed he can't perform. The Warrior needs to shut the hell up about Jake though, at least Jake succeeded off talent, where Warrior did on gimmick.

  • I agree. Jim Hellwig aka Warrior was a real douchebag. At least Jake worked with the talent instead of bashing them. That is why I think I am a better Ultimate Warrior than Jim ever was.

  • The WWF should give this Legend a shot at working behind the scenes with young, raw talent or story developement in some capacity!

Christ knows they could definitely use some fresh ideas, angles gimmicks etc. and this man was always full of them..

  • They'll never ban the DDT!! DDT!!

Jake's One of The Greatest of All Time!!

It's his prerogative and right to earn a living and the last wrestler that should be throwing stones is The Ultimate Meat Stick!!!!

Hey "Warrior" maybe you can learn something from this match. You were a painted body builder with no in ring skill that ran around muttering non-sense. I find it hilarious that you're now a public orator. Was it all that time you spent as Dean of Warrior University???

  • If this isnt rock bottom, I dont know what is...

  • Could of been worse, could of jobbed to the guy.

  • Man how the mighty have fallen.

  • Oh my god, I was thinking the exact same thing.

    Fucking weird.

  • Wow. Talk about a fall from grace.

  • Heh, for the amount of money he makes per appearance, who cares if he works a backyard show, a park show, or an arena show. Money is money, no matter where you make it.

Hell, I'd do a show in front of stuffed animals for what he got paid.

  • Its good to see Jake is still going, I trained with Jake for 2 years in the U.K, and despite all his troubles he still gets of his ass and goes to work

  • did he die?

  • I saw this thanks to the Warriors blog. I love both legends. I don't care what anybody says, it was great here to see Jake the Snakes classic trademark short arm clothesline and DDT. Nobody does it like Jake. And nobody has ever come close. Can't beat the original.

I hope to see the Warrior and Macho Man come back for a little action too. Those 2 are in way better shape than Ric Flair was and if Flair can do it, they can too.

  • Warrior already came back for one match last yaer.

  • what a dreadful match it was too

  • and i also agree if i had to pick a match between this and the warriors "comeback"match to watch over and over in hell i'd take this... The warriors match was like a punishment...

  • i found this clip via warriors blog and in fairness Jake has had a way harder life than hellwig its no excuse being a drug addict but to put him down whem he is still tryin to earn an honest buck without muggin ppl or commiting more crime than just drugs...

Jake could quite easily outlive warrior at this point its amazing he's still walkin and talking let alone wrestling...

  • Im not the kind of guy to put others down, but even I feel that to see Jake like this is pretty sad.

As for Warrior, you cant deny the fact that, hes still alive and in great shape at age 50. Personally I think Warrior has done very well for himself, he wasnt the best wrestler but he certainly was an entertainer with a great look. Hes a big part of WWF history, made a lot of money and is still doing well.

  • Really? Ultimate Warrior is making fun of this? Really? Is this the same Ultimate Warrior that had worse matches than this when he was in his prime? Is this the same Ultimate Warrior that made a return to wrestling at the age of 49 and put on a slightly longer, but just as bad, match to job out an up and coming Orlando Jordan in an Italian wrestling company? Seriously, Warrior, I'm not a fan of Jake Roberts but before you poke fun at another person, look in a mirror.

  • Warrior might be a terrible worker..but you know what, he still has dinero to live comfortably for a very long time.

  • That may be so, but does that make it right for Warrior to try to make himself look good because jake made mistakes? no that makes him a bad human being that doesn't deserve to be defended

  • I think it is neat that Jake did that little bit.

Jake is pretty old, but willing to have some fun and give back to some fans.

    What's the big deal?

Are you seriously comparing the performance of young professional Jake to retired Jake? If you are, then YOU are pathetic.

But hey, if you don't like old people, make sure you kill yourself by age 25...cuz that's when the 'yer too old' rhetoric starts.

  • Is this a backyard fed or some shit? I think Jake should just Retire if hes even got any money in his name.

  • what a shame that a big wwf superstar is now doing this kinda shit.

  • Best match ever?

  • Wow! Short match! Maybe Jake needed to finish his beer or they didnt offer enough crack. Ive had pee breaks that last longer than this.

  • What a useless sack of shit. I leave it to you to decide which I mean.

  • I'm sure Vince McMahon himself would say how truly amazing Jake was. Anyone who saw 'The Wrestler' may be able to grasp where Jake's at with his life right now. It appears he's struggled with other aspects of his life, but there's no denying that he's always been extremely gifted in the ring. As for Warrior, his reputation speaks for itself. I'd say, not too many people really care what he thinks. Despite how happy he claims to be, he sounds like a pretty bitter guy to me

  • Wow this place was packed!

  • that was a short squash Jake Roberts......the new goldberg?

  • this is sad. real sad.

not to mention the match itself; a couple chops, a clothlesline, and a ddt. even funaki would have gotten some more offense in than that jobber!

  • So uh.. they actually paid him for this? lol.

  • Like Jake couldn't show up in TNA any day he wanted to. You can ridicule Jake all you want, he's one in a million and we don't have anyone like him in today's generation of wrestlers.

If Warrior is so positive and full of life, why does he need to look down on people like Jake to feel better about himself?

  • jake roberts for Xdivision Champ

  • Dude, laugh all you want. He would be unbeatable in an Ultimate X match. He would just let his snake crawl out on the cables and hang itself in the belt, and then Jake can just pull the snake along with the belt down.

  • THAT WOULD BE a good spot haha yell

  • Because that drug addicted, alcoholic, deadbeat dad had it all and pissed it away. Thats why.

  • Poppalicious: you did not understand the question. The question was, why does the Warrior need to look down on people like Jake to feel better about himself? You did not answer that, you just answered why Jake is one of his targets.

  • Simple...because Warrior did it the right way, and Jake did everything wrong. Warrior was just pointing it out. Warrior is no angel, but you dont see him doing conventions to fuel a drug habit, or wrestling for a measly 100 a night or hawking polaroids at indy shows. Thats why. Warrior has his pride and dignity. What does Jake the Drunk/Coke/Crack have? His drugs, kids that hate him, ex wives, addiction to booze and drugs, and probably living in a trailer park somewhere.

  • dude not cool man that was a cheap shot

  • shut the fuck up.

  • Well Screw You To

  • At least this show had more paying customers here than TNA.

  • shut the fuck up, money mark.

  • You people amaze me. He had a great career and you people put him on a pedestal. But hes human for crying out loud. Everyone comes down off that pedestal and has to make it like you and I. Let the man alone. Give him respect for what he did. He's not Jesus Christ.

  • in fairness to butternut chopperfest jake the snake was an hour and a half late....so the crowd had already moved on to other activies by the time he wrestled.

  • People make fun of him because he squandered everything he had and now hes doing shows like this for crap all when if he saved his money and didn't screw around so much he could have still been successful and had a 'little' extra left over cash for a decent retirement instead of being forced into doing shows like these. No doubt he had an amazing career and was on the top of the business but hes like randy robinson in The Wrestler. He got careless with his money, did drugs, and lost everything.

  • Good holy god. I used to make jokes about Ricky Morton wrestling in backyards for crack and now I guess Jake's really doing it.

  • This is horrible Jake. Have some dignity.

  • Jake picks up a big win. Could this springboard him into the I-C-title shakeup?

  • Hahahaha......good stuff.

  • Man, what kind of road has Jake been on that led him from the 69,000+ spectators in 1990 in the Skydome in Canada to the backwoods venue of a few people in Butternut, WI?

  • sad

  • I'm lost for words. This is beyond embarrassing and Jake obviously has no self respect.

  • food on your table > self respect

  • There are better ways to put food on your table. Wrestling at some biker gathering isn't one of them. Jake really has reached the bottom of the barrel and unless he sorts himself out it's either a life on the streets or an early grave for him. Jake is living proof that drugs don't do anything but harm.

  • LOL!

  • WTF, who is that fat gay lookin thing he is fighting, wth are those long ass blue things he is wearing lol, so wetarded, go Jake#1 4life

  • Hey at least these days he can get out of the ring. Before rehab, it took him a while!

You can definately see a new improved Jake Roberts. And believe me, I wouldnt give credit unless it was due!

  • What?? No snake in the bag??

  • Thanks for posting this, it was an honor to be in the ring with Jake the Snake Roberts.

    WHOOO!! WHOOO!!!

    Peter "MORBAD" Sischo

  • Wow, for that appearance, I hope he stayed and autographed stuff and took pictures. I'd be pissed if he came there and just did that match.
