Unfortunately the field of Medicine/psychiatry is not doing the job in the right way. We see almost every week a celebrity dies of drug use or abuse of pain killers. It doesn't matter if the person is a celebrity or not, but since people are familiar with them, they may get more awareness of the danger of self medicating.
I totally agree with you, it's also a social/moral problem that needs to be addressed as a pyschological problem, but because of the view our society takes on self medication it is addressed by the legal system and therefore people (celebrities and those not in the limelight alike) do not get the pychiatric help they need and many lives are destroyed & even ended because of this.
A lot of these creative "creatures" turn to drugs because of their natural ability to disseminate. They can't help it, and thus, we label - manic depressive, etc. I believe that an artist has a VERY wide "scope" of human qualities, mostly those of emotion that reach too deep that the average "one" cannot relate; but does respect, whence seen, and then opinions. There are those that are artists, and those that are not. EIther you "get it" or you don't. I live with one, and have learned to so.
Yeah, these creative types tend to be SUPER sensitive/emotional and what really impacts them might not faze the average person... So the "ordinary" public finds it weird and judges them.
TO ALL SEEKING HELP WITH ADDICTION: You need to look into treatment with a drug called Ibogaine. Ibogaine is an addiction interruptor, not a maintenance drug like methadone or suboxone. Ibogaine will stop your withdrawal,elevate your mood, and stop cravings. I have Ibogaine videos faved on my chanel. It is not legal in the U.S., but there are clinics in Mexico. Two I know of are 1. I love him. Jail saved his life--I'm so glad he came out of everything in one piece, because I too thought he would be dead before 30. I'm so sorry about all he's been through. I feel his own father is responsible for all of it by giving him drugs at the age of 7--he thought it was funny to see Robert stoned on pot. ASSHOLE! How SICK is that? RDJ didn't have a chance. God bless him--he's truly beautiful and I'm so proud of him for getting sober. I'm so glad he's finally found real happiness. :)

Everyone should watch the documentary: American Drug War: The Last White Hope. You will see how the CIA, FBI and US Military and your local police SHIP IN the drugs from outside the country.
Yes, our government is IMPORTING street drugs. Why? Because just like Robert Downey Jr, they want you HOOKED and IN JAIL so they can make money off of you through the court system and jail system. That way they can continue this "War on Drugs" which gets BILLIONS of dollars. Its all about MONEY and CONTROL

Unfortunately the field of Medicine/psychiatry is not doing the job in the right way. We see almost every week a celebrity dies of drug use or abuse of pain killers. It doesn't matter if the person is a celebrity or not, but since people are familiar with them, they may get more awareness of the danger of self medicating.

I totally agree with you, it's also a social/moral problem that needs to be addressed as a pyschological problem, but because of the view our society takes on self medication it is addressed by the legal system and therefore people (celebrities and those not in the limelight alike) do not get the pychiatric help they need and many lives are destroyed & even ended because of this.

A lot of these creative "creatures" turn to drugs because of their natural ability to disseminate. They can't help it, and thus, we label - manic depressive, etc. I believe that an artist has a VERY wide "scope" of human qualities, mostly those of emotion that reach too deep that the average "one" cannot relate; but does respect, whence seen, and then opinions. There are those that are artists, and those that are not. EIther you "get it" or you don't. I live with one, and have learned to so.
