  • long live the beatles. love them all so much.

  • you suck ringo

  • lmfao ringo looks drunk

  • shut up Ringo, you're barely a beatle.

  • @MattWn20 Your barely a human being if you really believe that.

  • @SaidSheThatsWhat ...you're*

  • OMG that other one is a boy ?

  • RIP George and John...

  • Ringo's wasted.

  • Ringo....

There were 4 of us in that band and it seems there are George and I, Yoko, Sean and Julian here. It's growing ...every day!

    Mick's speech was brilliant.

    I love those guys!

  • wheres paul????????????

  • These are truly Beautiful people. I love their music and their outlook on life. I play Beatles material in my set everynight. Yoko is clearly a tower of strength, Sean and Julian are a great advert for John, though they obviously have their own personalities. Ringo was clearly pissed! He is clearly very talented, why can't he accept that? Nevermind, we love the Beatles as a group, not separately!! Long live the rest of the group!!

  • where was Paul?

  • Mr. Conductor !!

  • This temporary comment will be removed.

  • "It's wonderful to be here...certainly a thrill." Well played, George! :)

Thanks for posting this classic clip!

  • Ringo's drunk off his ass. Love him.

  • After George's speech, here ya go: 5:38

  • Paul's got the one with the speech in his pocket... obviously this was what George was counting on. LOL.

  • You can hear Paul Shaffer's laugh now and then...

  • she isn't wailing?? :O

  • what she are doing there???

  • The entire moment recorded here is steeped in so much folklore, pain and loss that it's remarkable it ever occurred at all. I can't imagine how difficult it was for those people.

And thank God for Mick Jagger! He's the only trying to elevate the moment for fuck's sake!

  • As soon as Yoko waddles her way up to the mic I hit the stop button.

  • @boogerholewv1 Go back, and fast forward to Sean's little speech-- it's the best of the lot. I like to think his dad would have laughed his ass off at it. Awesome!

  • @leftystrat76 Hi, After I posted my comment I fast forwarded past Yoko's speech and enjoyed the rest of the clip. I can understand John's two boys being there, but not Yoko, she's not the only reason the band broke up but she was a factor. The music and the times in our lives will never be replaced and never forgotten.

  • @boogerholewv1 Being only 11 when they broke up, I was never a "complete" Beatles fan... mostly the post-"Revolver" stuff, and even all that just sat alongside other bands. Also, I never really bought into the "Yoko killed the band" stuff... by 68 they were in almost complete creative disarray, going in different directions anyway. "Abbey Road"-- my fave B's record-- was an amazing aberrant collaboration, considering how fucked up the inter-band relationships were by that point.

  • @boogerholewv1 please she is a part of the history be nice

  • @photopicker Yeah, like Darth Vader was a part of the force. The thing I hated about her then as I do now. Watch how she can't wait to get her face up to the mic. Same as when the Beatles were trying to record, she'd always get next to a mic.

  • @boogerholewv1 end the hate ... respect john's wish for universal love and peace ... she was his wife mate ...

  • ringo's drunk as shit

  • Your still doing nothing ...mothafuka

  • @SamWhitemoon1 Try "YOU'RE", you ignoramus...

  • @djfakt Fuck off asshole... i didn't know this was an English test

  • Haha I love Yoko's dig at Paul. "I wish John was here, he would have come"

  • 5:33 - Free Yoko Skip Button

  • Sean showed he's got his father sense of humor !!! I'm proud of being here for doing nothing !!!

  • Where is Paul? I know where he is, backstage and too drunk to come out on the stage....lol

Or should I say William Campbell?....lol

  • @jpsmart59 -.-

  • Ringo = @.@

  • wow, george really dropped the ball, fist he says hes representing whats left of the beatles on stage, saying that paul and john are dead, then he says john "WOULD BE HERE" but according to the paul is dead theory, fake paul told the mi5 agents to kill john becuase of the secret john was going to announce about paul and then he say "WE LOVED JOHN, WE lovED paul" as in past tense becuase paul is dead.

  • @dcanjura123 He couldn't be there because he was too drunk to get up from the floor of the green room...lol Ringo and George tried to get up from the floor but he fought them. Then the Mi5 agents took William away to his home.

  • @dcanjura123 so, the interesting thing is that the fake paul (post 66'), is better than the "original" paul (pre 66')

  • @LukeResende what do you mean by better, if you mean musically i doubt it becuase pauls song during the beatles could have been written by john and post beatle, pauls was critized heavily by not doing good songs.

  • @dcanjura123 yeah, musically, during the beatles. the songs paul wrote after 66' are better than the ones he wrote before.

either way, live and let die is one of the best songs with the McCartney signature.

  • Really classy and tasteful with how Ringo acknowledged John's death and Paul's absence without making it heavy.

  • Ringo on some grade A

  • Is Ringo's "Ali" thing a reference to Mike Love's speech?

  • ringgo is fuckin hammered lol

  • hahahaha ringo

  • Get on with it.....

  • julian looks like edward scissor hands

  • George had more class than I realized!

  • Love Sean's outfit. Pretty stylish by 1988 standards for a 12 year old.

  • George is saying "we all love paul very much"

and his face is telling "no fucking way, that moron"

  • @Fredrockroll

yeah George wasn't stupid. he knew people would pick up on the we all 'loved' Paul very much, using the past tense.

  • If only I could hear what was running through Julians head while she gave her speech.

  • @TopherBlairMusic cough cough 'he' cough cough

  • @RJLKMRD - Following this "classy" presentation,

George did in fact "throw Paul under the bus". Then,

he back up the bus and ran him over again! Check

out the video titled "George Harrison Talks About

Paul McCartney". In it...you will see George (the

"spiritual" Beatle) disrespect and back stab his one

time friend and colleague in the back. Then, follow

it up with nasty bitter ugly complaining (the "quiet"

Beatle) until you just want to slap the fucker. He is

    not who you think!

  • @thegrinchl7 buddy, he was human. you don't understand the contempt they had for each other at one point. NONE OF US DO

  • @thegrinchl7 Yea. No worries. Paul is my favorite Beatle! I'm glad he's had his cake and eaten it too these past couple of years before he turns 70. Seems like he's finally gotten the recognition he deserves with the Gershwin Prize, Kennedy Honors, Walk of Fame, and MusicCares. It's a shame George took jabs at Paul considering the fact if it hadn't been for Paul, he'd never have joined The Beatles, as Paul lobbied for him in the first place!

  • I loved how George made a Sgt Pepper reference!!!

  • Paul wouldn't be there because of his shitty arrogant attitude. People would've called it a Beatles reunion even though Lennon was murdered by an asshole.

  • @TheGellnerCorp LOL Paul shitty arrogant ? So what would you say about John ????

  • Being in the RnR hall of fame today is akin to being in the "Your band sucks ass hall of fame". The RnR hall of fame has ZERO credibility and what should happen is someone start a REAL RnR hall of fame. I think we can all agree once they let Madonna in that their credibility dropped faster than Michael Jackson on a Cub scout.

  • Got cocaine Ringo?

  • @RJLKMRD - Yeah, George was sweet and respectful. No goofing around, like Ringo was doing here and said a few things nice. Yoko seems like she's full of shit and had the 2 boys kiss her on the cheek on cue. I bet if Julian was do this over again he wouldn't agree! aha!!

  • @shimokita2 - George was seldom "sweet". Often what

passed for "respectful" was George keeping his mouth

shut. Considering his "quiet" label I find it strange that this

man never seemed to shut up. When he was speaking, he

was complaining. Right after this graceful speech, in a tele-

vised interview, George tore into Paul McCartney like there

was no tomorrow. While George often gets credit for being

"honest", what is really happening is that GEORGE IS JUST

    PLAIN ANGRY.

  • @thegrinchl7 - Yeah, I remember he even said that he had anger problems. Isn't that also why he got so involved in Buddhism?

  • @shimokita2 - Well, George might've actually

benefited from Buddhism if he had actually had the

wisdom to join it. Buddhism is more a philosophy

than a religion and so. George's religious THING

was Hare Krishna. A wholly invented and contrived

piece of work that was invented rather recently. Don't

get me wrong: ALL religion suffers a kind of silly

premise: you are loved by a devine being, you will

pass to heaven and you will be happy. All of it an

    vulgar exercise in vanity.

  • The two kids, especially Julian, kissing Yoko looks pre-planned and staged.

George is the sweet guy he always was. Ringo a bit high with his interrupting George about Muhommad Alli, etc.?

  • Ringo's solo career really turned him into "top dog" in his own mind

  • Wow, what a HYPOCRITE! George Harrison, who for

the rest of his life dissed the Beatles every chance he

got is suddenly the gracious elderly statesmen here?

Listen to what he said AFTER this event in the video

"GH talks about PM". Sour grapes never knew a more

bitter man! Which is ironic! This man who accepted the

mantle of the "spiritual" and "quiet" Beatle was never

really either. Personally, I think this man was clinically

depressed. He wasn't honest or man enough to admit

    anything.

  • @thegrinchl7 they all had their disagreements amongst each other after they broke up (pretty sure paul and john had the worst spack) but they were family and what family doesn't!? get over it

  • @rageandlove93- Again, George's hypocrisy

is what doesn't work here. That all families fight

is just a lazy argument. John and Paul argued

but neither accused the other of a "conspiracy".

Watch the video titled: "George Harrison Talks

About Paul McCartney" which was filmed right

after this presentation. I find this man disturbing.

For one thing, I've never seen this man really

happy nor have I seen him truly praise someone

WITHOUT following it up with a negative caveat.

  • ringo is simply AMAZING! gotta love him

  • 2:14 - George Harrison with another admission that Paul died in 1966.

  • @TRJ22487ISDEAD He says '...we all loved him very much and we love Paul very much.' Notice the change in tense.

  • i like the way George said he 'loved' John and Paul. the past tense used for John is appropriate due to his sad death, using the past tense about Paul is very telling. and Julians face when Yoko said John would have been there and loved it, said it all. raised eyebrows as if to say 'no he wouldn't.'

  • @michelle88960 - I had the same observations about George's reference to Paul and Julian's face about Yoko saying John would've been there - No fucking way! John would not have been there. Shows us what kind of phony bullshit some of these celebs go on about at times like this. George and Paul weren't great friends in later years, however. I guess that's why there's the "was" reference regarding Paul. Although it seems Paul was near George when he died.

  • @shimokita2

    totally agree with you.

  • hahahaha george maybe a quiet man but when he opens his mouth he is hilarious

  • @dipiero123 Yeah...Many years ago, a reporter asked George if he was a MOD or a ROCKER, without missing a beat, george replied: "I'm a mocker!" He WAS hilarious!

  • @jcarringtonrobertson I remember that being Ringo. Old age sucks.

  • @jcarringtonrobertson That was in "A Hard Day's Night" :D

  • @jcarringtonrobertson that was Ringo in the Film A Hard Day' s night

  • @jcarringtonrobertson a legend never dies my frien

  • Not counting Ringo, because he doesn't age, George really did age well. He looks great here and I always thought he looked good as an older fellow. And look at that hair!

  • these guys always make me so happy!!!

    :D

  • i love them all but george and ringo will always be my favourite :)

  • DON'T CRY JOJ!

  • Ringo is super nervous "herr herr"

  • I love Yoko, she's so sweet <3

  • Wow John Lennon's oldest song looks pretty similar to him. His youngest son looks so asian ahha :)

  • @the1tobzster actually nowadays Julian (the oldest) looks less like John; while the resemblence of Shawn (the youngest) is crazy. Just look'em up, they're both interesting musicians; not to be compared with their father, for they have different styles, but still very good.

  • I wonder who was the real hypocrite here ;) Too bad for Paulie. I love him, but he was wrong this time.

  • Ringo is damn Stoned.

  • Happy for Ringo now that he is clean, sober, and healthy..

  • Yeah, tired of hearing people complaining about Yoko. John loved her and thats what it was. No one cares about your opinion

  • HEY. ringo can do what he wants bc he's ringo & HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS. george is beautiful though <3

  • George as you would expect, spoke beautifully and from the heart, just a shame it was spoiled by the mascot carrying on like a drunken toad.

  • George was sincere and I was happy that he was representing the Beatles. John couldn't make it for obvious reason, Paul punked out and Ringo was to me was like a obnoxious drunk.

  • One can't help but get the impression that they were not very happy with Paul McCartney not showing up.

    Ah well....his loss.

  • wow i love that quote "i'm pretty proud to be up here today, for doing nothing"

  • you def can tell there is an affection for one another

  • Yes, it felt like John was there, Julian looks just like him

  • where's Paul

  • hahaha sean awesome

  • "were all doing nothing so give us the prize and lets go home" HAHAHA

  • why wasnt paul there?

  • Neither Yoko nor Julian nor Sean should have been on the stage. At the ceremony and acknowledged - yes. On the stage and "accepting" the honor on John's behalf - no. ONLY The Beatles - i.e. Paul, George and Ringo - should have been on the stage accepting the honor. They made that music - not any members of the family.

  • Julian sure does look like his dad

  • @JOE11096 agreed

  • Ringo was stoned as usual

  • Really nice...

    Sean was cool

  • lol George was so proud of his lyric drop. well done George :D

  • "And don't forget Muhammad Ali!" that's the best part of the acceptance. But I think Ringo intentionally got himself drunk because it's painful for him accepting the award without John Lennon... and Paul was not there because of... well I think not solely because Yoko was there but also because of his pride.

  • @pinoyblues69 He said he would have felt like a hypocrite hugging everyone while he was being sued.

  • @Mozart1220 he can be there and not hug everyone.

  • This would have been a 100 times better if Paul had come. Paul, as well as John, had always been the spokesman and center charisma of The Beatles. I bet he would have given a great speech rather than these filled with "um's" and empty "thank you's."

  • Ringo is a natural comeddian, George too! The beatles were comedians as much as musicians. thankfully they took-up the latter.

  • yoko had broken up the beatles and she came here for the award for the beatles.. john must be embarrassed

  • @VaiRendy How did she break them up?

They were the ones who all made the choice to go their separate ways.

  • Yoko can't leave this group alone even after all these years.

  • if john loved yoko thats good enough for me

  • I don't know the details, but even in 1988 there were some legal issues concerning the Beatles that still needed settling. Paul refused to go because of the legal entanglements with the other Beatles. I wish I knew the details of the legal battle.

  • @nerdygrl647 i dont know but i can remember only a few years ago there were some issues regarding writting credits between paul and john whether it was a case of who wrote most of which joint collaborations and how it was to be titled on the record possibly being brought by lennons side

  • @strumfellow Paul wanted the credits reversed for, Yesterday....ie. McCartney/Lennon as opposed to the usual, and asked Ono if she would give it the ok, her being in the position of allowing it. She said, "No!".............'nd that's the story.

  • @gawagney Paul later said that he want's the credits stay that way as it always have.

  • @pinoyblues69 Yes, I know.

  • Paul didn't go....kind of weird

  • Yoko is a bitch

  • Unfortunately, Ringo turns out to be a dick head, and George a decent guy. Well, and Paul was a dick head to not show up, obviously.

  • why was yoko there??

  • Ringo was on drugs and alcohol... long live to Ringo !

  • Comment removed

  • Ringo was nominated.

  • Does anybody know why McCartney didn't go?

  • McCartney sure blew it here....sheeeesh. tsk.

  • Close your eyes... Listen to Julian and... Yep... It's John!!! :D :P... (And instead if You close your eyes and Listen to Sean...It's Yoko :-| )

  • that was very cute

  • Aww Sean was so cute <3

  • no need to be offensive, yoko.

  • Ringo @ 3.48....and dont forget Muhammad Ali and then George doin the same.SPLENDID and MIND BLOWING.

  • Yoko can get fucked..

  • @DrVrixy sure!!!

  • alright we're all doing nothing.. give us the prize and we'll be on with it.. -ringo

  • George is the mo f sh$T

    rest in peace

g d I miss the beatles and George

  • where is paul?

  • How many of you wanted to punch Ringo when he kept interrupting George.... Yoko should have kept her mouth shut about Paul not being there... He had his reasons and I RESPECT THEM....

  • @PamelaJoParrish Ringo was being a drunk asshole, its true. But, George and Yoko were right on in their comments. Where did you hear that Yoko was bad mouthing Paul ??

  • @mrstevehartman just the way she said "John would have come.." Maybe Paul had other commitments that prevented him from coming.. I feel so damn sad for George, Julian, and Sean... I swear, George had tears in his eyes during his moment here...

  • @PamelaJoParrish I perceived that also, but Yoko did say John. George looks lost and Ringo is stoned. A sad end to a great band...........

  • @mrstevehartman It stinks... If you want to cheer up... Please come by and check out my videos to George... Watching this gets me too upset to the point that I feel like throwing up... :-( Feeling this way is horrible...

  • @PamelaJoParrish I cannot disagree about the way Yoko said " John would of come ". Perhaps she was implying that Paul should of been there but still did not mention his name. And... he should of been, as it was a grand moment.

  • @mrstevehartman I think youre right,hes probably drunk.ha ha,in front of millions too,that would really embarass me.

  • @dempsey981 Ringo went through many years of being crocked. I dont know if he still drinks, but he sure acts stoned here !

  • @mrstevehartman yea i heard the same thing, but i also heard he got straightened out,and does not drink anymore,i dont know.

  • RINGO is a FUCKED UP SOT... You know he is high as a kite... As to Paul.. I would not want to be on the same stage with Yoko either... George was a classy man.... I could feel the sadness as I am typing this... RIP John and George...

  • Why was'nt Paul there?

  • @5786Dan I believe Paul didn't want to be on stage with Yoko and just sort of didn't show. Also, I think it was still hard for them all to be together without thinking about John.

  • Poor George it was a very emotional and hard for him and i can understand why.

  • Ringo you spoiled it for the others for what you said you plonker!!!

  • that was the worst induction ......WHY ???

  • At 4:25, me: "Yoko about to speak? The bitch gonna say something about McCartney, man, I'm certain".

At 4:35, Yoko: "I wish John was here - you know, he would have come".

    Theeeeere you go...

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the memories george

  • If this had taken place a few years later the three guys would have been there together. Paul behind the guise of business opted not to attend this, which sucked. It at least kept the Beatles mystique going by not giving the masses what they always wanted, some kind of Beatles reunion!

  • Julian and Sean had the coolest dad ever. :D
