Actually earlier, by 1958 it was all done and in place. We lived in the rear section, which is off limits except for staff. This place has its own large water supply with a pumping station, the grass is kept green with an extensive sprinkler system. All done in the 1950's with "no cost spared" systems. There weren't many visitors in the 1950's because most people did not have cars, so the LTM bus was a major link.
Out of all of the videos about this place, this is absolutely the best one. Having lived there while it was being built, its amazing to see the sizes of the trees that I remember as Saplings.
