  • Actually earlier, by 1958 it was all done and in place. We lived in the rear section, which is off limits except for staff. This place has its own large water supply with a pumping station, the grass is kept green with an extensive sprinkler system. All done in the 1950's with "no cost spared" systems. There weren't many visitors in the 1950's because most people did not have cars, so the LTM bus was a major link.

  • Out of all of the videos about this place, this is absolutely the best one. Having lived there while it was being built, its amazing to see the sizes of the trees that I remember as Saplings.

  • @fairvoice

Very kind of you to say so.

It was erected in 1960, you must have been 10 years old.

    As time goes by.

  • @blueboyNL thanks for the video. can you do one on Field of Honour Loenen or Field of Honour Grebbeberg? have not seen any images of them

  • @badgerattoadhall “field of honor” is written in Dutch “ereveld” so “ereveld Loenen” or “ereveld Grebbeberg” should give some results. (YouTube search bar)

  • @blueboyNL thank you they were there.
