Once you can make one, it shouldn't be that hard to assemble the 5 together. It's just a bit tricky to put each section in the right place. I don't get why people get mad.

I found pre-folding crease helps assembling units much easier. Glue will also help, not only when folding, but also after completed (without glue the model will be fragile).
