It's not EVEN 'compassionate fascism' -- its the brutal optimization of profits for the private prison industry, another aspect of the for-profit War Industry. At its core, neoliberalism, or predatory capitalism, is as pernicious, exploitive, cruel & corrupt as any other economic/political system ever has been. What may be worse, is that it undermines the rule of law by subverting the society's moral values. Its what makes war not only imagineable but preferable as a profitable enterprise.
